  2. I had the same problem when using the russian version. since I have the german version and the english cockpit you can read in the cockpit which positions means on/off/disabled/oper etc. the pictures in this guide show the position but not the correct setting for the knobs and switches

  4. . LRM 2.0 release no later than April 2009 I was about to release LRM 1.0 as a non-beta version, but as it turns out there were a few more features I wanted to add. Then I figured these new changes made it more like a new mod package than anything else. Even though the mod is pretty much feature complete, there are still fine tuning to be done of each part. As usual the mod is loaded and enforced from server side. Clients do not need to install anything locally. LRM 2.0 will have only one release variant. There will be no separate variants (with varying amount of features included) for some squads. Instead the ability to turn off function by function is added in the configuration file. LRM 2.0 includes: Server Controllable engine spool-up time (as of LRM 2.0) Takeoffs only possible from runways (not taxiways/roads/etc, as of LRM 2.0) Refueling only in parking areas (as of LRM 2.0) (you can get to 700 lbs on rw, in case of flameout) Turbulence mod (Turbulence when low and fast, as of LRM 2.0) Dynamic coalition controlled/owned airfields (as of LRM 2.0, no spool/takeoff at wrong airfield) The ability to enforce special weapons/payloads (No engine spool if loaded those not set as legal, as of LRM 2.0) Reduced chaff numbers (made stricter with LRM 2.0, originally from 1.0) Limited amount of aircraft available, with timed reinforcements (I forgot this is actually an AMRACT feature, not LRM, but will be on rve server) Counters to the barrell exploit (as of LRM 1.0) F-15 IFF (as of LRM 1.0) F-15 Radar elevation follows target(s) TWS & STT, (as of LRM 1.0) Counters to the RadarFloor exploit (as of LRM 1.0) Optional Support for cursor target step mod (Must be activated client side and set *allowed* by server) Demo Video : --> HERE <-- , showing some of the new 2.0 features.   5. Well, Although it's a weekend I'm up early during last 2 days, I was watching both training on Saturday and race on Sunday and I must say I'm impressed with new rules implied this year. Structural changes really made things interesting, more actual racing than last 15 seasons. I mean, it's Melbourne, rather slow track but we saw so may actual fights on the track than ever before. I'm also impressed with a Brawn GP, very competitive car, the only thing that bothers me about it is pilots that may appear too loose to take podiums constantly. My favorite driver R.Kubica showed some rookie temper today, he should have taken it easy. What do You say, I know there's a lot F1 fans here :smilewink:

  6. Thats no problem, that is what forums are for. Of course you will get the occasional rude person that will tell you to RTFM, because they are either too lazy or too cranky to offer a hand. But fortunately there is always someone out there willing to help. Glad I could help. :thumbup:

  7. Vista 64 shouldn't be an issue - I run it on a 64 rig and hasn't had the slightest issue that was not an effect of my doing something really stupid. Like the time when I accidently clocked the GPU core to 1200MHz... >.< If you're using an nVidia card, and remember to not have it installed in "Program Files(x86)", Vista 64 should run it like a charm. :)

Kuky and I placed about 500 AI aircraft, then exported their coordinates with lua to a text file, and did some string manipulation, then copy paste into lrm script as a big array of coordinates. took a while to place aircraft and name them ALL :D Now if anyone wants some coordinates, we have : All airfield center coordinates All ILS/LND coordinates for all winds All RTN coordinates for all winds All runway coordinates All parking coordinates

  9. Added feature, Refueling only possible in parking areas. it just wont refuel anywhere else ;). You can be ANYWHERE on ANY parking area to refuel. Kuky was a big help on this one! We actually got the coordinates of ALL parking areas. In total we gathered about 500 coordinates. As with the other mods, server admins can disable this feature should they want to.

На Сухом целый раздел))) Бери первый. Второй я смотрел. Интересны некоторые моменты, но не более. Слишком много "технологических" проблем. Писать много. Есть плюсы, но общая реализация не очень. Тем более, что больше нет технической поддержки. В Харькове реализован именно танковый бой, исторически достоверен. Не наступай на грабли))))

It has nothing to do with intellect at all, but not only Americans want immediate gratification, I think the shift over the years has made most people in general -in western countries as least- want immediate gratification. There was a thing on the news here a few weeks ago that the age group of 30-40 has serious 'what next?' issues. They generally have a great job, own a house, have a wife, children, big car, big kitchen, SLR camera, etc etc... and they have trouble dreaming about what they still want instead of going out to the shop and just buy what they want. They raise children who in turn get something of that pie in their perception of whats normal, so they get saturated with instant gratification as well by getting all the toys they want, consoles at young age (even cellphones!), you name it. As long as they are happy, paps and ma are happy. Then we frown when those children have short attention spans... We are emerging from an era where we have been spoiled and hopefully the recession will temper that and open eyes here and there. But we might shift the topic here a bit too much. However I do agree that the (flight)sim player demographic (for the lack of a better word) shows a lot (and I don't say all, mind you) of 'mature' people. (18+) So the market to sell to is quite different that what the big software companies aim at (teens). But that would be the same issue for any developer taking flightsims as their projects, Russian or other. I still think the money machine is the biggest factor in why it's still viable to produce flight sims in Russia, for several reasons stated earlier in this thread by several people. EDIT: And yes I do understand I've been horribly generalising people in the first part, but in light of the arguement I thought it was authorized. :P

  13. You are using the old, out dated software. The new saitek profiling software using .pr0 files, they are not compatible with each other. I cant save it as .dat, sorry :(. Download new software here: http://www.saitekforum.com/showthread.php?t=16643 You will want the new software as it fixes things with different modifiers.

  17. What's the verdict? Any compelling reason to upgrade from 9.3, apart from the obvious 'keepin' up with the Jones' scenario? Yeah yeah - could research the issue, but I'd rather hear from the In-House Techno-Boffins :smartass:
