Heli Humor --------------------------------------Part I-------------------------------------- A helicopter was flying around above Seattle when an electrical malfunction disabled all of the aircraft's electronic navigation and communications equipment. Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot could not determine the helicopter's position and course to steer to the airport. The pilot saw a tall building, flew toward it, circled, drew a handwritten sign, and held it in the helicopter's window. The pilot's sign said 'WHERE AM I?'in large letters. People in the tall building quickly responded to the aircraft, drew a large sign, and held it in a building window. Their sign said 'YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER'. The pilot smiled, waved, looked at his map, determined the course to steer to SEATAC airport, and landed safely. After they were on the ground, the copilot asked the pilot how the 'YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER'sign helped determine their position. The pilot responded 'I knew that had to be the MICROSOFT building because they gave me a technically correct, but completely useless answer'. --------------------------------------Part II------------------------------------- Why Helicopters are Better than Women 1. A helicopter will kill you quickly . . . a woman takes her time. 2. Helicopters can be turned on by the flick of a switch. 3. A helicopter does not get mad if you 'touch and go.' 4. A helicopter does not object to a pre-flight inspection. 5. Helicopters come whit manuals. 6. Helicopters have strict weight and balance limits. 7. You can fly a helicopter any time of the month. 8. Helicopters don't come with in-laws. 9. Helicopters don't whine unless something is really wrong. 10. Helicopters don't care about how many other helicopters you have flown. 11. When flying, you and your helicopter both arrive at the same time. 12. Helicopters don't mind if you look at other helicopters, or if you buy helicopter magazines. 13. It's OK to use tie-downs on your helicopter. 14. Helicopters don't comment on your piloting skills. 15. However, when helicopters go quiet, just like women, it's usually not good.

Setting Saitek joystick sensitivity setting for Black Shark. This works great: In the Saitek profile utility, open your Black Shark profile: set it to 'Product View' move joystick, it will show a X Axis and sensitivity setting slider. Move it further to the right to make it more sensitive. Save the profile. This way, when you move the stick, it will require less travel to change direction in the helo :joystick:

Управился даже раньше того срока, когда планировал начать :) ..опа институте оказалась не такой уж страшной как казалась. Да и перевод :book: затягивает не хуже прохождения :joystick: Как я и говорил, радиопереговоры надо бы подправить. У военных ведь свой слэнг. Перевод не везде буквален, но смысл я старался сохранить. Старался сделать его по-настоящему "русским", убрать типичные английские "обтекаемые" фразы. Кое-где они всё-таки остались. Если будут резать глаза, говорите - исправим. О всех багах, опечатках, несоответствии смысла (я же не проходил миссии, а догадывался о сюжете по репликам, да и те были вперемежку) просьба сообщать с указанием миссии и номера триггера, который можно посмотреть в редакторе или в приложенном doc-файле. джонсмитту: Озвучка как я понимаю должна пока остаться оригинальной. Indeed, in your example you have disregarded the effect on the Stabilisation system, and only concerned yourself with the stick position. Having thought about it a bit more I think Sobek is dead on, It seems the Stabilisation syetem changes on pressing the trim button. It changes from:- Attitude + pitch and heading hold (Stick position + Damping + 20% authority) to Stabilisation mode which is just Stick position + Damping (ie Flight Director) If you have not trimmed often enough, while flying through different parts of the flight envelope (eg 150 IAS to 250 IAS) The autopilot could well be using its max 20% authority to maintain Attitude + pitch and heading hold. When the trim is pressed the system switches to Damping only, so in effect 20% of the input to the flight surfaces disappears instantly. The 20% authority will reappear when the trim button is released. Nate

Я не думаю что в архитектуре движка все так плохо. Сейчас (на сколько я понял) клиент сам считает свои ракеты. Данные о других он получает через сервер - ибо их считают другие пользователи. То есть ничего не реализованного и принципиально нового не появляется. В идеале игра вообще может быть разделена на две части - клиент и сервер. Сразу. То есть даже локальная миссия запускается как сетевая.

Задавая правила игры для всех неплохо бы иметь средства по принуждению всех к соблюдению этих правил. К сожалению.

Maybe its possible to put these graphics files in home folder instead ? Or somewhere similar ? .. hmm it should be possible to run this without admin priviliges...I dont like giving a network app full read/write to my system ..:)

Hi Crunch, I had the same problem with the Win7 release candidate running on my server. I fixed it by finding the LockOn folder in the Explorer and getting the path from the title bar as text. Then pasting it into the path in Hyperlobby. I noticed changes of case from some items in the path, although I'm reluctant to believe this to be the source of the problem. Perhaps Hyperlobby doesn't escape the space in the file name properly but the Win7 Explorer does. Anyway it's ironic, since I asked you for help for this since I didn't know how to force Hyperlobby to re-check the path so I could set it properly. You helped me and we fixed it. Nice to be able to return the favour. Yes, you also do need to run as Admin and do the stuff to fix the "..." relative path instances in the Hyperlobby config files or graphics will not be drawn properly. Cheers, Moa

igormk - fantastic work! I have played through all missions (far from completing everything properly) and must say I am blown away. I love the realistic 'on station' aspects of the missions where you are occupying a time window for potential support, inclusion of ROE and the fluid nature of the missions that require manual inflight nav updates. Other than cringing everytime 'Air Force' instead of 'Army' is mentioned :), I love it. I think there are some (very) minor detail issues (terminology, spelling etc) but not enough to detract from a well thought out and executed campaign. Certainly 1000% better than anything I could put together!

Потому что это не логика, а памперс. Массовая истерия, психология толпы. Один чихнул - и нате вам эпидемию. Сей психологический феномен объясняется ещё тем, что одним вирпилам интересен симулятор как жанр, другим - как фон для завоевания регалий, спортивная среда, так сказать... Те кого устраивает просто симулятор - рады появлению лучшего ,а те, кто боятся потерять свои регалии - в панике стирают памперсы, вместо того чтобы радоваться возможности покорить новые олимпы. Причем это касается не всех вирпилов-спортсменов, а только тех, кто достиг "предпенсионного возраста", то есть собирается только почивать на достигнутых лаврах, не продолжая совершенствоваться. :megalol:

Мда. Будьте реалистами, Российская военная техника - техника с 20 летним прошлым. Что нового в Российской армии? Пара уфолетов в единичном экземпляре для показов на МАКСе? Сколько проводиться испытаний/доводок Российских ВВ ракет? Так что говорить про эффективность современных Американских и Российских ракет, по меньшей мере не умно. Фактически ничего нового, только индексы научились добавлять М, СМ и плюсы к поколению самолета ставить, 4+, 4++. Это как в школе тройка с двумя плюсами это как ни крути все равно тройка. А нормальный кристалл произвести или схему спаять так руки растут не из того места. Модули электроники по 500 кг. Вон Булава уже 12 раз куда только не летала кроме цели. Не факт что и 27, 77 с электронной начинкой прошлого века в реальном бою, с установкой современных комплексных помех, не влетит тебе же в сопло... Сравнивать мощь Российской армии с Америкой - полнейший бред. Как муравей со слоном... Сравните себя с Индусами, которые последний действующий авианосец в аренду у нас взяли... Просто надо честно сказать, что жалко он-лайн рейтингов и попросить дядечек разработчиков вставить в настройках игры выбор режимов между реальной симуляцией и игровым режимом для тех кто боится за свой он лайн рейтиг. А оскорблять нацию которая по все параметрам нас превосходит.... Знаете какая собачка больше всех тявкает? Будьте более достойными и Вас будут уважать. Мое ИМХО
