My plan is to print it and cover it with plastic foil so you can draw and write on it with marker which is then easy erasable with alcohol. I was inspired by the announced integration of both DCS and FC in multiplayer with FC2.0. Then I imagined how it would be like to fly in a co-op mission where you have real guys flying fighters, strikers and attack helicopters. Imagine having a pair of Ka-50s flying scout role on the front line, and having flight of Su-25Ts or A-10s waiting on strip alert to be called in. Fighters are providing cover all the time. And if you are in that Ka-50 and you spot a large enemy armor formation coming towards our borders, how would you call those strikers? In Ka-50, and (hopefully soon) in A-10C you have GNSS, INS, moving map, so you can be very precise with locating the enemy’s position. But how to pass the information to those strikers which doesn’t have any of those NAV devices. And possibly they have predetermined flight route that they can’t change in flight. And if you go with “Large group coming in from east, just passing north of Bagdati”, it is question how many of us know the terrain so well that they would know where to go. And even if you know where Bagdati is, would you be able to find it visually if you take off from Sukhumi, and you have to fly low level due to enemy fighters and AD. Therefore I made this chart in order to eliminate that DCS/FC “navigational” gap. Now if you are Su-25T pilot waiting for call, and you receive coordinates from scout Ka-50s, you can easily draw your target’s location on the printed chart, and if you have predetermined route loaded in your NAV system, just look for your closest WP, measure heading and distance from it, and it will be easy to navigate to the target area. Off course, this is all applicable for servers that have disabled map and external views. The chart itself is made of large number of screenshots, all joined together. I have tried to represent the Earth’s curve as it is IRL. Then I added Geodetic and MGRS grids. MGRS system is not checked for precision! I have decided to include it because I believe it will be present in DCS A-10C. Practically, this chart is a representation of real life TPCs (example). I didn’t try to invent anything. There are just few things that are different here with the real life TPC. Then I added cities, villages, airports, NDBs, peaks, borders, river names, lake names… the result is here. I'm attaching lower resolution version here ~4000x3100pixels. If you think it would be good to have this chart, after I finish it I will attach full version (~16000x12000pixels). 500k low res (~6MB) What I want to add on the chart are some good visual reference objects (for better orientation) like: -Comms Towers -TV Towers -Large factory complexes outside of the cities -Oil platforms The problem is that I don’t know how to find all of them. Maybe there is some file that have list of all of those objects with their coordinates, but I’m not sure. So, if someone knows where or how to find them, I would be very grateful. And it would be nice if someone could double-check precision of the Geodetic grid. I have tried on several locations on different places of the chart, and I think it is very precise. Just be aware that chart is made relative to coordinates IN game, not in the ME. I’m open for any suggestions. S!2 points

The pack can be installed with modman and includes only the gauges and the MPCD (Sorry, no radar scope or TEWS, as these were done a while ago and frankly, they suck atm. The reliability of a retail price announcement is usually higher than that of a release date, but only because of that, it is not important at all to keep that "promise". Have you ever seen a car tagged at a price close to what they announced it would cost when they announced the development? When ED/TFC says it's now 30.- instead of 15.- and by that we only cover the costs, that's justified. If PMDG calls up €55.- for a single aircraft MSFS add-on (MD-11), that price is justified because of the quality and the sytem depth. If ED said they wanted 50.- per FC2 copy to hire 5 new programmers to speed up DCS development, that would also be justified. Everyone should think about their total flying hours of fun in that game and compare it to the price of a CoD:MW2 with its 8 hours SP content. Even if LO/DCS would cost 100.- per year to play online, it would still be a bargain compared to what one spends for and gets from pay-tv, cigarettes or booze...1 point

Yes, we are "close". Mostly just squashing a few more bugs, tuning some radar/missile BVR issues, and testing BS/FC2 MP.1 point

Mac have a pause/break key? if not, you need to re-map the command to another key in options-control. If the problem is that no one key is recognized, mhhh, I'm a bit lost. PD: I think Newview is a program, not part of DCS.1 point

Yes, but... case 1 - staying on a flightpath is a better deal, imagine traffic (ferry flights or other combat guys flying along) and you might collide in midair, case 2 - preplanned routes that drive you thru the air defense are only good if you follow needles case 3 - Flanker/MiG MFD in LOFC is good for nothing, is unreallistic (displaying AB icons) and not very multifunctional. I often set MFD/HUD failure to appear at 0:00 after 0:00 and keep my eyes on steam gauges for SA and NAV. IFR is a must and makes you develop a habit of checking your instruments.1 point

Да действительно перепутал, но только название а не значение, спасибо. Я зря волновался на су-25 действительно можно делать много чего, даже больше чем на видео особенно на полупустом, тему считайте закрытой, всем спасибо за помощь и разъяснения. Отныне су25 я люблю больше :thumbup:1 point

+1 Lwing, и еще кое-что: Такс, во-первых, Су-25Т тяжелее Су-25го, даже при одинаковом количестве топлива. Во-вторых Су-25СМ и Су-25 по весу почти не отличаются. Поэтому Су-25СМ ведет себя также как и Су-25 В-третьих перед вводом в атаку закрылки выпускаются в МК(маневренная конфигурация) В-четвертых 8 НАРов это тяжело, тем более если это 8 С-25, в основном загрузка 4-6 НАРов С-24(С-25), или блоков Б-8. или ФАБ-250(ФАБ-500 тяжеловаты, но и их таскают) Если с ПТБ, то это максимум. Это для Су-25 чистого(или Су-25СМ). В-пятых штопора на ролике нет, вообще превышать макс. угол атаки летчикам запрещено, а у РИТЫ записано "предельный угол атаки, предельная перегрузка" Поэтому при превышении перегрузки она всю запись выдает. Максимально-допустимый угол атаки по УУАП: • В ПК с длинномерными подвесками типа С-25, С-25Л, КМГУ, Х-25Л, Х-29Л, ПТБ – 13˚ Для остальных видов подвесок в ПК и МК, М менее 0.71 – 20˚ Более 0.71 – 15˚ • В МК с длинномерными подвесками –18˚ Для остальных видов подвесок во всем диапазоне чисел М – 20˚1 point

На сколько я понял из сообщений кого-то из ED на ЛА Су-25 и Су-25Т смоделирована, или прописана, запрограмирована АФМ. Вот на сколько АФМ Су-25 отличается от Су-25Т в игре я не знаю. В ЮО снят эпизод боевого применеия Су-25СМ, если я не ошибаюсь. Полётные характеристики Су-25 и Су-25Т различны. Если в игре также есть разница 25 и 25Т на данных режимах (а Вы как я понял задаёте вопрос про 25Т), то сравнение с видео тут не коректно. С уважением1 point

Alright, if anyone had created a user through the login system at Leading Edge Training's website, chances are they were deleted. Sorry about that, but I just finished erasing more than 600 users created by spam bots. Those bots are crazy!!! I have now added a Captcha field to the registration (you know, the image with random letters and numbers in it that you have to read and retype) to hopefully avoid all spam. The forum is also online, although it is locked at the moment. Soon it will open and we can transfer this conversation to there. Update 3/12/10 The pitch ladder in the ADI still has to be done. Cabin pressure. Unfortunatly, you get some really weird parallax issues on the screws here. It looks fine in a normal, non-zoomed-in view. Aero1 point

Если ты сидел на хвосте и противник исчезает - то это, скорее всего, и объясняется лагами. Читы немного другое.... Один из самых распостраненных и жестоко карающихся - использование модификаторов подвески. На том серваке на котором ты летал "голый"(РАФ) для начала - предупреждение, второй случай - бан на сервак на неделю, третий - бан навечно. Второй..... Второй, покаместь, тебе знать не обязательно, дабы не было соблазна его использовать.... Вообще в сетевой миссии полезно читать брифинг перед вылетом. И с правилами ознакомишся, и оперативную обстановку узнаешь. И народ увАжишь, который эти брифинги писАл :)1 point
