Don't listen to TOMCATZ, the detail on that model is awesome and I think you should stick with the way you've been making it so far :thumbup:2 points

Hi, i create a slider and the turnin center on flaps and finish the left wing (the other side will be mirroring and got a new axles and controllers for easier animation). The pilon's places will be creating in one of the last phases. I modified the following parts from last post: - more trailing edge details - refinement on space between flaps and main body - connected hydraulic cylinder to flaps The next step: stabilizers (+ mechanics) Regards, Krieger2 points

Doable, yes. Playable without 64bit version, possible not. For Nevada I have about 1.1TB of data for it. Unknown as they are still being developed.1 point

 Well sure, Elite isn't for everybody. So far, 4 have passed with a further 9 in the academy, of which 3 are expected to take their final assessment within the next 3 weeks. 44 have applied, 13 got in. over 1000 tracks marked by 2 SL's and one FI.:book: Competition and selection breeds excellence.;) She is a bit of a beast, for sure, but when you know where to 'tickle' and how often, she's a big pussycat! Thanks. 'T'1 point

The original NH 205 (serial number 159846) was written off in 1986, as you mentioned. Some time later, another aircraft (serial number 159832) was designated as NH 205, and it was involved in a mid-air collision in 1991.1 point

Decent results with these settings and a good starting point for anyone wanting to give this a go. However the = key isn't resetting my view so I'm staring down into the cockpit. Also, notice the X and Y movement is less smooth when compared with X & Y rotation. Not sure why this is.1 point

@Pat01: I put the livieries fix into my next release. Thank you for posting that!! The second one (first way point fix) is a bit more difficult. I had to move the first waypoint of the cloned object away from it's original position because otherwise there will be "ghost waypoints" in the editor map from time to time. I spent days to find out why this happens and finally this was the only solution to this. Ok, because those "gosts" on the map are really annoying, I did not include your "first waypoint fix" at this time. Maybe one find's out why those ghosts appear or even better: where to get the documentation of the map control.1 point

I am a numpty my joystick had some friction / sticking problems - a quick spray with PTFE and adjust the control curves and she flys like a dream now reminds me of the time I had a very slightly damaged steering bearing on my motorbike - it meant I slightly weaved all the time because the steering resisted moving out of the center point helicopters require a light touch1 point

ну кишки все равно не видно будет, после смерти у нас же камеру из кабины пинком под зад, а вот фонарь окрасить красным вокруг отверстия это была бы сочная деталь :)1 point

I have already showed it to you. If you have a problem with that envelope and don’t believe it’s from Vympel then you can check it. You know from official Vympel statements that R-77 range is at most 20% better than R-27R then you just have to use your brain and take R-27R envelope as a starting point and extrapolate ranges. Guess what – when you do that, you’ll get results almost identical to what you can see on the R-77 envelope. LOL I can’t believe that! I’ve already proven that the estimation is false! I gave you OLS-35 specification from manufacturer! It’s OLS-35 not some degraded version. Prove that I’m wrong. Popular belief? LOL :D So now you take popular belief and Kopp’s estimations over official manufacturer data! This is crap right? So you demand official sources and data but it doesn’t matter if I give you any source, even official one. You just disregard it and call it crap. This is pure trolling. BTW: Su-35 is a large aircraft and has big IR signature. SH detection range will be even smaller. Why do I need to do that? Official data is just crap, right? You can find official data for Bars radar on NIIP website. 140km look-up detection range using long range detection mode vs 3m2 target. Why on Kopp’s website there is 160km detection range vs 1m2 target? Tracking range for the APG-77 is close to 120 nmi (requirement was 110 nmi, but it was beaten by 5% at least). Carlo takes that range and put it near ‘detection’ ranges of radars like BARS and it looks like these two radars have similar performance. Why doesn’t he compare the R-77M to hypersonic scramjet version of JDRADM II? How can you prove that in US they don’t have this kind of weapons? I already did! Ok, just take calculator and do the math. Empty weight + half fuel + 2k lb / wing area. You’ll get the same results. Yes and that proves it’s not objective, but heavily biased. Yeah well, if you believe that you can reduce Flanker 20m2 RCS by just adding some RAM here and there to the level of the Super Hornet then it’s your choice. Hornet was redesign to have small RCS. It has blended airframe, S-ducts with radar blockers, some RAM materials, canted stabilizers which are aligned with the intakes and so on. Even Pogosyan said that using RAM treatment you can lower radar cross section by an order of magnitude at best. Well, Carlo believes something different. And you believe him implicitly. And about engines: also Pogosyan said that if the development stats now the engine will be ready in 10-12 years. Again – Kopp seems to know better.1 point

This article was written in 2000. We are 2010. Why stick to webpages from a decade ago while you can have up-to-date information in journals like Airforces Monthly, Air International, Aviation Week, Flug Revue to name only a few? Kopp's article has some merit; but since Typhoon is operational the supercruise ability has been validated and the engines have proven extremely satisfactory, both in performance and in reliability. It is typically an engine in the F414 class, with considerably less weight than F100 engines, allowing twin engines in same aircraft class. Pirate was introduced rather silently, and for A/G Litening is used, the HMS is there. As was to be expected, the most foolish aspect was the UK Mod intension to drop the gun. They had to reverse course on this, as about anyone on this planet except the Mod could have foreseen. Thrust vectoring is again considered, though no customer committment has been taken. It would not be pursued for added manoevrability since the aircraft performs already very well, but rather for fuel economy and engine wear reduction. Most likely tranche 3B will feature AESA radar, since this is an export market requirement. Compared with legacy fighters, aircraft like Eurofighter and Rafale stand out mainly in three areas: production techniques and materials; integrated self-defense systems and digital fly-by-wire. It makes no sense to compare Eurofighter with SU-35BM or Pak-Fa since Eurofighter is operational now and who knows what upgrades will be fitted in 10 years time. Maybe thrust-vectoring, certainly AESA and Meteor. I never read anything about RCS improvements like RAM coating or inlet blade shielding and the likes. I guess we wont see that on Typhoon.1 point

By 'on site', i`m assuming you mean 'in theatre', to which the answer is 'no'. I am however, in a priveldged position out of theatre where my current rank and role, allow me access to sources of information through our own Defence Intranet. If you knew how AP works, you would know that information is purchased and cascaded to different sources which does not nullify any negative initial reporting. So, With that, I now pull from the thread and end this ridiculous justification of my existance. If you want to continue this discussion, join our TS or PM me. Regards all, safe flying. 'T'1 point

Calling this game "another nail in the coffin of the sim industry" is just idiotic. If anything ED have saved the sim games on the PC platform. Otherwise we would all have ended up with nothing but Ubisoft HAWX games.1 point

Переделал кампании "Горячие скалы" и "Суховей" из LO 1.12 для LO2. Старался миссии сделать полностью идентичными, однако в некоторых случаях пришлось немного подправить баланс, иначе миссии становились практически непроходимыми. 25tfc.zip Su27suhovey.zip1 point

Since the begining of the time, forum users were "demanding" things like "G-cloud", "animated ground crew" and other "adding to the reality" features which will eventually lead the PC to choke on. In other words some serious (costly) rig upgrades will be needed in order to get all the "real" stuff running at acceptable FPS rate and the argument was something like "well, who cares, work hard get the good stuff so you enjoy the "real" stuff as the rest of us does". Then, not so long ago after BS was first released in Russia and then to the west, there was alot of "complains" on "how come Russian release is $20 buck cheapper?!!" What is $20 buck for so called "Worlds greatest economys"?... And now the saga continues with "Real sfuff which adds to the feeling" is being again to expensive... This situation does remind me of this scetch by great scott Billy Connolly, where some of the forum community is a "womans" and DEVS as a "men". Check for yourself... :smilewink:1 point
