  1. In this thread/poll the manual was discussed. Roughly half the people polled said they found the manual and deep understanding important. The other half found they didn't care much to have a full understanding of the A-10C. I ranted a bit about how much people are missing if they try to click their way through instead of gaining a deep understanding. Let me clarify: I have to digress and explain why I'm so passionate about stressing the value of the manual. I've been callus and less than helpful. I apologize. Up until a few decades ago, digital wizardry wasn't available. PCs were little more than glorified calculators, and phones had cords and radial dials that created sparks to communicate with routers as big as a house. During the emergence of this technological utopia we now comfortably inhabit, we were excited. There was something in the near future that was going to change everything. We couldn't wait to see what was next. Enter the military aircraft! They defied laws of physics and understanding as we knew them. How can that aircraft fly to a target at faster than the speed of sound, engage and destroy an enemy with ruthless efficiency, and return home with a grinning pilot? Black boxes.. intense mathematical calculations.. expensive new alloys.. secret sauce. We all wanted a taste of it. It was our gateway into this future we now know. Digital wizardry!.. and we could have a small peek inside through, what at the time, passed for a flight simulator. This digital wizardry persists. These aircraft remain the most complex and effective machines ever built. But when you wake up and pay your bills, check the weather, watch the news, and make a significant purchase.. all within five minutes from your smartphone.. it's easy to forget that these steel dragons exist. Slow down and open your eyes to this wonder. Read the manual, understand the hardware, THEN you can truly take flight and revel in the power you wield. Look closer and be humbled. The Warthog and ED will not disappoint. P.S. -

Итак, встречаем то, что наводит ужас отсутствием пафосных жк-дисплеев и будет регулярно мозолить глаза, а именно - центральную приборную панель:pilotfly: Суммарно 3 панели весят 10031 треугольников. Анимировано ВСЕ кроме светосигнального табло, ибо это тоска, рутина, и просто лень, потом доделаю:) При изменении давления на барометрическом высотомере, если приглядеться, ручка вращается:D На радиовысотомере анимирована лампа "опасная высота", по личным соображениям маркер установлен на 100м:music_whistling: Анимированы индикаторы отказа высотомеров по отключению питания, а для радивысотомера - и по предельной высоте измерения. Вроде пока все что вспомнил...))) И вопрос к ЕД по поводу прозрачных объектов. Светящиеся элементы березы, идикатор механизации, и некоторые лампочки упорно не хотят показываться в игре на переднем плане, они отрисовываются как бы за моделью кабины, в то время как индикаторы отказа курса, глиссады и индикаторы топливомера отображатся нормально на перднем плане. Все эти прозрачные и светящиеся элементы имеют один общий материал и каждый элемент был получен клонированием от такого же с целью экономии времени на анимации... В итоге во вьювере все отображается нормально, что видно на скринах, в то время как в игре часть светящихся объектов не появляются. Пробовал ставить материал standart, cockpit, но эффект один и тот же - никакой. Иерархия для всех светящихся элементов выглядит как "панель - dummy с анимацией отключения питания - индикатор". В общем я уже не знаю где искать косяк, просветите:book: зы: А в ответ тишина, что ж... )))

  14. Для захвата после того как Мэйверик синхронизирован с SPI, необходимо нажать TMS Up Short. Но в текущей версии, чтобы эта функция работала, нужно переназначить SPI на странице MAV. Т.е.последовательность действий должна быть следующая: 1. Находим цель с помощью TGP и делаем ее SPI (TMS Up Long) 2. Переключаемся на Мейверик и синхронизируем его с SPI (ChinaHut Fwd Long) 3. Переназначаем SPI (снова TMS Up Long) 4. Включаем трекинг Мейверика (TMS Up Short). Все, Lock On :)

  16. CCIP is CCIP; about the only difference is that you're going much slower than in an F-16 so it's riskier. CCRP is I think a bit more complicated due to the better flight model, particularly if there's wind - it's more difficult to get a good line-up. But there's also more depth to the CCRP. You don't have a radar to lock things with, but you can set your CCRP target using the target pod, or by using the HUD Target Designation Cue, or by selecting something with the TAD. And CCRP is used to drop free-fall bombs, laser-guided bombs, and GPS/inertially-guided munitions which are all a little bit different in their mechanization. The TAD and nav system is also more complex, although I've only ever played Allied Force - maybe FF/OF have a more complex system. But you can create waypoints and mark points on the fly, receive information about the location of friendly forces, get tasking info from JTACs, share your sensor point-of-interest with your flight members, and so on. I think the multiplayer community will really love a lot of the things you can do over the data-link. I'm still learning but I'm at the point where when flying, I feel like it's a really well-designed combat platform. I just need to practice using it until things become second-nature. I do some practice with some system and think I've got it down, then go to use it in a combat mission with time pressure etc. and just go to pieces. It sort of gives me that sense of 'information overload' that pilots always describe - there's so much information and although it's all well presented and easily accessible, managing to take it all in and process it in real-time is pretty challenging. Additionally, you don't have a magic all-seeing ground radar, so I find I'm constantly struggling against a feeling of being blind. Sure, I've located the target, and I've scanned the area around it for AD threats, but am I really sure it's safe to make a pass? Maybe just a few more minutes with the TGP...

  18. Абсолютно в дырочку! Я как-то пытался несколько человек привести в мир ЛО и ЧА. Первый вопрос- ну и как здесь летать? Без карты??? А если помощь требуется в каком то месте? Куда лететь? ...Ни один не остался, карты-планшетки нет. Как-то не понятно сделано, без карты, разбитой на сетки летать. В Ил"е есть- а DCS нет. Извольте- 21 век на дворе.:megalol:

  24. Это к а10 да и к патчу - Напоминаловка и поелания, если вдруг не было. Выгрузка состояний всех флагов флаги счетчики возможность через миссию убирать руд на "0" выбранного клиента, сливать топливо на "0" у выбранного клиента, блокировать слот клиента на заданый период времени, чтобы лихач сразу на борт не влетал, а через заданный период только :), чтиобы точно описвалось жив ли он, мертв, а то есть такие, подбили, так он уже сразу на другой борт садится. Ну и как на будущее - возможность задавать в мисии свои подвески с отключением стандартных, возможность учета бекоплекта, типа если нет то его и нет...Даже так - флаги через которые можно задавать и считать заданный тип вооружения и топливо, заданного в миссии, гибко будет тогда и можно ждать обозы, и делать деверсии и будет смысл в уничтожении складов. Планшетку! и всетаки, сделайте в карту сетку, не так уж и сложно 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10 километровочку + возможность распечатать (лучше даже сгенерить в картинку, чтобы народ сам уж как нужно распечатал) ее с редактора (а то с реальнми картами не все совпадает) с нужной масштабной сеткой и выбранного учатска - я думаю многие скажут вам спасибо да и рублем проголосуют за удобные фишки, покупая разработки. Мисси станут интереснее, да и с картами много удобнее.

  25. Для непонимающих повторяю второй и последний раз - общепринятая практика выкладывать файлы либо у себя, либо на общедоступных файлообменниках, а на не на чьем-то сайте. В противном случае возникнут вопросы - а почему именно у него, почему не у нас? И почему именно на тот, который у тебя в подписи (я мог и на свой личный файлообменник положить, но не сделал этого принципиально)? Есть гораздо более заслуженные и старые сайты крупных сквадов. Это понятно, надеюсь? iFolder не потребовал от меня регистрации для заливки и предоставил минимальный сервис управления файлом, для меня лично это были достаточные основания. Я никому не мешаю перезалить файл куда угодно, хоть на свой сайт (и тем самым крутнуть счетчик посещаемости). Всё, тема исчерпана.

  32. CAS is a rough environment. You're vulnerable (even if armored) and slow, and you have limited time and engagement room to get your job done. I'd say it's more work intensive than working the radar in OF.

  37. On a quad core cpu with intel speed step enabled, it will not run on full power until almost 2 full cores work at 100%. So running a game/application that only uses 1 Core, will never be able to make the CPU go out of it's power save mode! Download the small application Cpu-Z which displays the current frequency etc. of the CPU. So you can check what is actually going on while playing DCS.

  38. I disable any energy-saving features in motherboard BIOS so that I can stable maximum output from my OC-ed CPU. Especially when gaming.

  39. Here's the catch, this price includes VAT. You don't have to pay this tax in US, lucky basterds ;) I live in Poland, so I earn less than half of what you earn in the US for the job I do. I also have to pay for the stick 25% more because of european taxes, plus extra money for shipping from different country (probably about 30 Euro). And YOU dare to complain about prices. :joystick:

  42. ... and I will never be among them - thats my point! who are those 30? are they playing for hours? how many are there in week, 30 or 30x7 ? why is it that 80% of other servers are empty at the same time? meaning, if there are 20 server, how many are playing for hours? 30x20 or 30x1 and 0x19 ? if mentioned problems are fixed, EVERY SERVER will have MORE THEN 30 people EVERY DAY!
