  3. August 1st, 2011 - The most renowned dynamic multiplayer campaign, The Georgian Incident, is set to resume. Featuring multi-squadron operations, turn based strategic maneuvers, resource management and live ground controllers... The Georgian Incident utilizes every asset of the industry leading simulation platforms by Eagle Dynamics: the DCS:KA-50 and Flaming Cliffs 2, to push virtual immersion to it's limits. Each coalition will have the ability to manage resources, relocate and deploy units, draft and execute plans of action - which results in a fully dynamic front-line. For further details on rules and procedures please direct your attention to the attached SOPs. Starting August 1st, squadrons that have actively participated in the previous installment of the campaign, The Crimean Incident, as well as those squadrons that we see active in the community will begin to receive invitation letters for this event. We are also open to review applications from squadrons that wish to participate but did not receive the invitation by August 5th, please direct your attention to our forum(link below). Should Eagle Dynamics develop a compatibility patch for DCS:A-10C, the Georgian Incident campaign will expand to incorporate interested squadrons into the operations. Upon hearing back from all of the invited squadrons and reviewing potential interested squadrons a meeting with officers of each participating squadron will be scheduled to address any concerns and set the campaign start date.   4. Amazing article about the 74th Expeditionary 'Flying Tigers' in Combat Aircraft magazine!! Without ruining the 4page article here is a couple of quotes from Hog pilots... Regarding the use of weapons in Libya "...if we carry two GBU-12's we will, by nature of the weapons pylons, only carry one GPS-guided bomb. The gun is used 99% of the time." Regarding the CSAR the A-10C were tasked to do after French Mirage went down in Libya "...securing the area wasn't a problem as I think the people in the towns had got the message that they really shouldn't mess with them. The aircrew were only 100m from the wreckage as they had baled out at 200ft and 170kts." I think it's amazing that the A-10C is not only involved in every war going on right now, but is kicking ass in them as well. How lucky we are to have an A-10C simulator come out as well....sim heaven.

  5. HI all. I browsed this forum for some time, then started to build my simpit. Of course it is not finished yet (I think it never be). I found few pictures taken by my son when I was flying at home so there it is. My simpit here in A-10C configuration: Another picture with zoomed in cabin: This simpit is an multipurpose one. Above is in DCS A-10C configuration (Helios + Easy Monitor Configurator), but I have profiles for Flaming Cliffs2 F-15C (Helios + LEAVU ERI 2.1) and for Open Falcon (MFD Extractor) I am working at DCS Black Shark config and on Flaming Cliffs2 russian jets (I have to learn Java programing first to modify Joda's LEAVU) also FSX is planned in the future. I use two netwoked PCs: - Mainframe with TH2Go and 3 x 24' screens (external view)+ 8' MFD (left) plugged into DVI slot of 1st graphic card + 8' MFD (right) connected with USB to DVI adaptor. This way I still can use two Nvidias in SLI setup. Joystick is TH HOTAS Warthog. - Networked machine with 17' touchscreen (center), 8' touchscreen (top) and two 10' touchscreens (left and right) for cockpit rendering only. And this is my flight mainframe PC (watercooled): Funny thing is that in room heat build up during flight is enormous. In winter no need to turn heating on, but in summer I have to turn AC on.   8. Well, airbase operations at home station are totally unlike what you see in a combat zone. Suffices to say, at an F-15 base (2x F-15E Sqs, 1x F-15C), typically there's 6 flying blocks - two gos for each squadron. Typically you're looking at a 12-turn-10. Bagram however, don't know what you guys are talking about with combat airbases being quiet - sure we we do a lot less flying, typically two-ship operations every four hours or so... about once or twice a day we'll get a scramble call and throw up two more in less than five minutes... but in there's a hell of a lot more traffic overall. Running ATC at that base must be a nightmare. There's usually F-16s at Bagram as well and they like to pretend to play war by putting up some aircraft at about the same schedule, but they never get scramble calls (no JTAC alive would take a lawndart for anything over an F-15). All during the day something is taking off or landing. Chinooks are going in and out, Apaches and Blackhawks are puttering around, sometimes you'll see AC-130s and there's *endless* amounts of cargo traffic - a few AN-225s come in and out a few times a week, several C-17s and the odd C-5. Ground traffic there's not much where we were at, but if you go on the other side of base, the *one road* that services all of Bagram's dorms, B-huts, the BX area, DFACs, etc. etc. etc. is an endless sea of people and one massive traffic jam.

Изначально переключатель .Boat switch стоит в центре.У меня тоже сначала не получалось.Я просто навел ГСН ракету на точку SPI сделанную с помощью TGP.Затем щелкнул переключатель Boat switch вверх или вниз без разницы затем снова в центр.Без этого действа почему то не получалось сделать сплошную.Его надо обязательно вернуть в центр.И нажал TMS вверх(вроде) короткое для создания сплошного перекрестия у данного типа ракет.Все.И цельтесь в TGP как можно точнее желательно между башней и шасси. п.с. Figure 422. Maverick Force Correlate Track To use the Maverick in force correlate mode: 1. Place the Boat Switch in the center position. Переключаешь данный переключатель на центральное на HOTAS(RAlt+вниз).п.с.Сделай как описано выше 2. Slew the tracking gate near the intended target.(В TGP ищешь цель и делаешь ее как SPI,затем переключаешь на ГСН Мэйверика и сенсор на точку) 3. Ground stabilize the Maverick by pressing TMS Aft Short. Затем жмешь на HOTAS (LCtrl+вверх короткая и появляется сплошное перекрестие на цели) 4. Slew the tracking gate over the target and the tracking gate will fully collapse. The Pointing Cross will go steady. 5. You can now launch the Maverick by holding down the weapon release button.Пуск.Дистанция насколько позволяет двигатель и скорость ракеты.Я пускаю на дистанции примерно как раз 8-9 миль. Стационарные Торы,Осы,Тунгуски еще "спят" светят но не ведут.Насчет более "крепких" ЗРК не знаю пока.

  16. Indeed, get a buddy to fly with and do alternate runs on the target area, where one plane attacks and the other one orbits keeping an eye on the target area for launches or AAA.

I remember many years ago when waiting on a Herc we saw that the herc next to us was empty but being loaded with the infamous RAF 'white box' packed lunches. When the loadmaster went away a couple of us left our plane sneaked aboard the other and stole them. We were well fed when we arrived at our destination :)

  21. same sort of setup here, except monitors are identified in a different order (i think) by the OS (same as those who has a touch screen as #1 screen in the profiler and needed to make a copy/paste profile for the helios from the original profiles). screen resolution: 3600x1080 [ATTACH]54536[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]54537[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]54538[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]54539[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]54540[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]54541[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]54542[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]54543[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]54544[/ATTACH] here are all the files needed to run Loz's helios profile (switched monitors). all exported displays are removed from the cockpit (some are saying it's increasing fps... hope some1 who knows how the lua files work will check that all is done right on that part). all thanks goes to Gunnergolly for sharing his files (very good base to start with) with us and every1 else who figured out how things are working after the last patch.
