  2. Hey folks, I think it's the time to summarize a little bit about A-10 next patch's needed content from users' experience. These are the most important implementations I hope to find into patch 1.1.1.0 (or 1.1.0.10? :smilewink: :music_whistling: ): 1- real-modelled CBU-97/CBU-105 for anti-tank purpose (since patch 1.1.0.9 CBUs you can no more destroy multiple tanks using one CBU, instead you need to use multiple CBUs to destroy a single tank!! - thankfully already WIP about it!! :D); 2- shooting Mavs even with 3/9 or 5 Mil bombing mode selected (now you need to deselect or Mavs doesn't shoot even if locked); 3- some exemples about the use of multiple flags into "Practical exercise" section in GUI manual, at least some abou units' randomization; 4- visible explosions even for tanks' gun shooting (now seems only for artillery gunnery); 5- AGM-65G/K heavy Mavs made available into A-10's weaponry; 6- correct altitude layer digits into CDU about wind setting (now you can't set altitudes other than, e.g., "23" or "27" even if you digit other numbers); 7- chance to make an aicraft group larger than a single visible unit even using heavy planes (as Tu-22, C-130, etc.) (now you have to make a lot of single-unit groups). Does someone know some stuff to add more?? :smilewink:

  3. I'm sure you've all had the problems that I'm about to mention, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to solve them. The first is that the TGP diamond in the HUD disappears when the gun reticle is placed over it, but that little diamond can really help accuracy during low visibility or long range strafes. I have a partial fix which is to lock a maverick on the target and then use guns (the Maverick reticle does not disappear when the gun reticle is placed on top of it), but obviously if you've used all of your Mavs you'll be back to square 1. Secondly, usually when going in at high speed for a strafe, the TGP diamond will move around and not stay on target when trying to adjust the plane to line up for the gun run (it'll also give a gimbal roll sometimes). I'm guessing this has to do with the TGP having a hard time tracking when negative Gs are encountered (i.e. when pushing the nose down), but I find this strange since the Maverick has no problems at all with negative Gs and can track perfectly every time with no movement whatsoever. So, if anyone knows how to solve these two problems of mine, I'd really appreciate it.

  6. Два вопроса: 1. Как вы управляете по направлению (педали) - твист на джойстике или кнопками? 2. Триммер не включается, он постоянно включен. Сейчас кратко объясню как им пользоваться. Назначьте кнопку триммера на джойстик, где-то очень близко, так как нажимать придётся постоянно, в реале лётчики так и делают, щёлкают им чуть не каждую секунду. Желательно, назначить на кнопку под большой палец. В полёте управлять триммером можно двумя способами. Во-первых, новичку желательно в настройках убрать "триммер с возвратом в центр". В полёте следите за тем, чтобы кнопки К, Т, Н были постоянно включены, это важно! Первый способ: джоем направляете вертолёт в нужном направлении и нажимаете кнопку триммера, после чего сразу же вернуть джой в центр. Вертолёт затриммировался и летит туда, куда Вы его направили. Этот способ даёт некоторые погрешности, второй лучше. Второй способ: нажимаете на кнопку триммера и удерживаете его во время манёвра всё время. После выхода на нужный курс отпускаете кнопку и сразу же возвращаете джой в центр. Всё, вертолёт затриммирован и летит куда Вам нужно. При необходимости слегка поправить направление делаете всё точно так же - зажать кнопку триммера, направить вертолёт, отпустить кнопку. Директорное управление включается при интенсивном маневрировании. В бою я им пользуюсь, только когда стреляю НАРами. Кнопки К, Т, Н тоже должны быть постоянно включены.

В файле ...\Config\View\View.lua отредактировать строчки 49-50: DisableSnapViewsSaving = false UseDefaultSnapViews = false Запустить миссию,в кабине нажать и отпустить кнопки требуемого для изменения вида, например [Num0 - Num2], настроить камеру для нового вида и сохранить вид, нажав [RAlt - Num0].

  12. Urgent! Hello - need your help: I'm converting my files now to fit different resolutions and aspect ratios... you will have to choose your monitor res after you have installed this mod. I will add this resolutions aspect ratios by default: Please look at this list and notify me if your Monitor resolution where you have the cockpit render on is not listed! Please also notify me if you know that there are commonly used monitors that I didn't included in my list. 4:1 (3x 4:3) 3072x768 , 3840x960 , 5800x1200 4:3 - 1024x768 , 1152x864 , 1280x960 , 1600x1200 , 1920x1440 , 2048x1536 5:4 - 1280x1024 , 1600x1280 , 2560x2048 15:4 (3x 5:4) 3840x1024 , 5800x1280 , 7680x2048 16:9/16:10 - 1280x720 , 1360x768 , 1280x800 , 1440x900 , 1680x1050 , 1920x1080 , 1920x1200 , 2560x1600 , 16:3 (3x 16:9/16:10) - 4800x1050 , 5760x1080 I'm right now editing all necessary files - and in the meantime you can watch this : (... and pay special attention to the sound that is played when I turn the NVG on/off...) I will look here before I pack the files and (may) add your wishes. I don't know if this sound of the NVG and the clicking sound of deploying them is realistic at all - it is just how I expect it to be...;) If you don't like it - tell me how it's sounding right... -anyway- you can also turn this off. And yes - the mode will include the Small (like in the vid above) and the Big NVG view that goes from top to bottom of the screen. and BTW: in the meantime you can also Think about where to put "win+h" - this will be the default Key to start the script for the Mask and NVG. - You don't have to change the controls in DCS at all. - so If you have a key/button mapped already to "RShift+H" - you may want to change it to "Win+H"..... for all that are waiting to download this mod - here a little update ( 10-22-2011 at 05:32 PM GMT +2) : I have to edit in each folder two images for a working preset- and I'm 25% done in the last 2,5 hours..... ...;) but I'm getting faster with every new folder...!

Я часто на акадо летаю, мне нравится этот сервер, хоть и в большинстве проигрывают бои но тут сам интерес боя мне по душе и мне не важно будет ли Зерол или Кот или питер пен, вопрос к тем кто использует всякие читы, у вас все порядке с женщинами? )))

  15. Nomdeplume, I like the way you are thinking, sir. :) jp203000, you need to stop looking for patterns. An updated 3D model means... an updated 3D model. There's a LOT of models getting updated all the time, and every time one pops up in a patch, product, installer, or development update, there's a rally of people saying this means X will be the next thing... Go by that logic, and the next DCS product is every single aircraft the US ever made, all of them, at the same time... :P

  18. Unfortunately, you can not rewind a track nor can you jump to a specific time. I believe that Nate was merely asking for a time so that he knows when/where to look for something. I often let a track run and walk away just keeping an eye on the time so that I know when to come back. This is, at least in part, due to the fact that the track is not a recording like a video. It is actually a timed record of the actions and events (control movements, weapon launch, etc.) as they occurred. When you play a track, the actions/events are processed and their predicted outcome is displayed.

  28. Heh, regarding the 'open hangar doors', I'm always amused by the PAS logic with the game. Do you have any idea how ridiculously difficult it would be to get an A-10 out of a PAS that was parked nose-first :D You'd need to get like twenty guys to push the damn thing out just so you could turn it around.

  29. Page 286 of the flight manual says the ALQ131 can go on stations 1 and 11, but in the game it can only go on 1. (is two better than one?)

  31. -INS alignenement and drift correctly modelled -Nothing else really, it'd be cool a deeper modellization of AN/ARC-164 UHF Radio and introduce some functionality in KY-58 and IFF panel, but it's enough what we have now. Regards!
