@GG: i do not need you, to tell me whats wrong or right, cause most of the times, i just hear, that you know everything, for everything you have a comment, it is not important on what it is, but so far you should set your signature to something like, " i have invented physics and also i have invented everything that is based on military aviation, and i have all classifications that are needed to even look into the newest projects of the chinease airforce" just cut that, that you think you are allways right. i have proven you many month ago that you are not right, when i came up, short after the release of fc2, with a offer to show the list of all missile behaviors in fc1.12b and in comparison with the once in fc2.0, when we argued about the r27et, and that in the sim engine it deccelerates with a gforce greater then 10g´s and so on and that no missile in this world would be designed to drop a shoot out the back, which is helarious, and after some time you had to admit, that the missile envelope of the r27 family is not correct, but i hope that in DCS there will be realistic data, from avionics over to flightmodel and so on, bla bla, so üpeople will see that still today, the russian weapons are way bejond effective, they are deadly, but let us not take this road again, ok. just stay with your knowledge where you are, but do not fool people ok? modern radars, which are used at the date 2000, they can for sure compute the dopplereffect. and if you put fc3 into the dcs world, maybe you might make the step forward and get at least the radars work how they should be, at least in the russian planes. and well, i am not going bejond some point here. you allways come up with the earth at some respect, thats crap dude, narrow the beam down to an azimuth of 60° then scan up not to the ground, the main waves go nowhere else then clear to the sky, ok you will have maybe some athmospheric interferances, but well will this make a plane disappear?. and the few reflections you get from the ground, hmm, when i scan at 10nm from an alt of 20000 and want to scan between 0 and 1000 feet, then well then the ground will clutter everything, nearly, everthing, although your radar will not reach the 0 from that alt at a scanrange of 10nm as far i recall the f16 block 52 radar, cause we got that radar in our GAF too :-), do you think we have nothing there, just stones i know. for the other smart guy, well do you even have a clue how big the aerospace industrie is? lol, sure they work on radars, who else needs them with so much urge besides planes ? submarines ? and GG next time you come pass an IAF ace, a real ace, not just a simulated one in a community, who fought with the damn sukkers (aim7) just ask him and maybe he will explain it to you so that even you understand why this all worked out, the way it did. just a hint, these pilots killed them in a turn, not in the notch bro :-) do you maybe understand now where i want to point your nose at? plus even the notch will be worth nothing at some ranges, which most of them are classified or not, who knows ?, GG tharos knows! fly the russian planes in this sim, and you will see what i mean. notching is ture so far, but radars will have even then a good reflektion, so that they can filter target, way bejond 2 - 3 km, unless you use good old granpas nightradar of the black widow, then, well then you might see him on radar when he has passed you, cause the computing takes that long till the radarscope shows something. cheers, i drink one for you too, ok i am out, and will watch GG tell everyone what the world from his standpoint out there looks like and has to be like :-) thumps up man, go ahead2 points

Hey people, Iam quite new to the Black shark. My issue is when iam in mid air flying and i stabilise the aircraft, when i use the rudder left/right it automaticly keeps going back to its position it was at before i ruddered it. also when you do this inflight and then use the aircraft to get it in position it still goes rudder left/right. It might sound a bit weird how i typed it out. Sorry for bad english. Thanks,1 point

This is not true, A Normal map is based on the normal vectors of a the surface of a 3D object. It is a better approach of 3D surface than the bump map. A diffuse map is only the flat texture that you'll apply. here an exemple of a render Normal map vs Bump map In 3D there are also displacement maps1 point

А жаль. так сказать на правах офтопа. Вот что подумалось,эталонным симом для меня является РОФ, в том числе и потому что там для всех летабов принят один уровень проработки, визуальных моделей кабин и самолётов, когда заявили о модульном DCS, я надеялся что он будет таким же как и ROF в этом плане, а не таким как LO 1.1, где модель Су-25T была проработана откровенно лучше все остальных летабов, особенно Су-25. К сожалению и DCS придёт к этому, через 2-3 года модель Ка-50 да и A-10C устареют и выдет новый DCS c новым самолётом, которому Ка-50 и А-10С будут уступать, в LO тоже где то пусто где то густо, даже выход LO3 ни чего не изменит, моделек МиГов и Су не планируется и это не может не огорчать, в первую очередь надо поставить во главу угла летабельные крафты, а уже потом моделить САУ, танки, БМП,ЗРК, и прочее. Тем паче если продукт платный. Всё конечно ИМХО. :music_whistling:1 point

Spacebar = gun trigger. :) Just press your gun trigger key. Whatever key that is. I once unbound space to prevent accidental gun shots. So once my trainer asked me to press space bar I pressed around like crazy. Then got frustrated and did a gun run on something. Then he kept talking hahahaha. :)1 point

Now I don't know what you're trying to prove here so tenaciously but first read what the others have posted and then reply back. Let's sum it up: Ka-50 saw extremely limited production, it uses obsolete weapons - Vikhr (the russians are probably going for Hermes missiles in the upcoming years), it does not have night capabilities, except for several machines which have been tested with such equipment, but never saw serial production, Ka-50 has outdated avionics not on par with the latest developments in this field of technology. Ka-52 is completely different, it may use Ka-50 as a base but that's it, when you talk about Ka-50 leave Ka-52 out of it, they are two different helicopters with different capabilities and purpose. They might look alike but so do Su-27 and Su-35, this similarity is only superficial, what lies under the hood is important. And yes Ka-50 might be very maneuverable, it may be able to fly backwards and sideways fast, etc. etc. But before all we are talking about military attack helicopters here so the most important thing about them is to operate night and day in different meteorological conditions, to be able to search for and find targets and to destroy such from a safe distance avoiding getting shot down in the process. Doing so requires advanced avionics and weapons. Ka-50 simply lacks those. Ka-50 is pretty much dead, Mi-28N and Ka-52 have taken its place and you can be pretty sure there won't be any new Ka-50s manufactured.1 point

I wanted also to get rid of the loop command and I was able to streamline the script. Now it works with three lines of code. Как у нас: взрыватель механический - взводиться через тросик. Скоба тросика закрепляется в зажиме механизма МВН (механизм взрыв-невзрыв). При нажатии БК при сбросе на взрыв, открывается замок держателя и подается напряжение на МВН, в котором шток удерживает скобу тросика. Естественно тросик под тяжестью бомбы вытягивает чеку взрывателя. Если бомба сбрасывается на невзрыв, то напряжение на МВН не подается и скоба выдергивается из механизма МВН. Тросик с чекой остается на взрывателе. Взрыватель не взводится. При электрической системе взведения, в которой участвуют уже другие взрыватели, вместо механизма МВН, работает механизм МПИ (механизм подачи импульсов), в которые вставляется шариковая вилка ЭПУ взрывателя. При нажатии БК при сбросе бомбы на взрыв, открывается замок держателя, подается напряжение 27V на МПИ, под весом бомбы вилка ЭПУ протягивается по МПИ получая импульс напряжения от которого взводится взрыватель. Is it possible for anyone on the ED team to communicate with AMD and try to find a solution to this? Since it was working with at least one driver version, you would think that it would be a little easier to crosscheck with other driver versions to see what's causing it. I just hate it when both parties just say it is the other guys problem and it sits unfixed.1 point

To me its a long range stealth strike aircraft. It makes much more sense given the chinese aspirations, plus it would be far smarter to avoid competing in the AA area where their adversaries are stronger and have a lead.1 point

Не надо сравнивать, хоть и сам частенько этим грешу... даже если ЛО или ДКС начнут продавать по 1 копейке, с Ил-2 по объемам не сравнится, тут дело не только в цене. Тебе ЛОГС2 не нравится уже потому, что в нем читерские ракеты по сравнению с ЛОГС1, а гораздо большему количеству народа ракеты не нравятся в приципе, но это опять таки вторично... ОМ клево подгадал с временным сеттингом, по сравнению с игрой про глобальную и самую жестокую реальную войну, с эпическими воздушными битвами, ЛО и ДКС - вообще не о чем, отличие от СтарВорс только в якобы реальной технике...1 point

Nice idea! I've made a couple of modifications, removing the loop, reduced the delays, and I guess you don't want to press down the y-key but the z-key instead? The key delays plays some role, I've come to the following values through trial/error. Delay between presses is set to 1 millisecond and press duration to none. eh. Here's my basic steps. If things change, i.e. something else fails, start back at step zero. 0. Altitude? Look, ground. Big yellow handle. 1. Positive aircraft control. Can I fly this thing still or is it a lawn dart? If lawn dart - big yellow handle. 2. Are the engines running/on fire? Try to extinguish fire. Still on fire, big yellow handle. If no power at all, go to 4 and glide as far as possible back home. Make sure the .38 is loaded, then pull big yellow handle. 3. Look outside and see what's missing. So that's why the rudder doesn't do much now. 4. Dump stores. You know, I don't really want to make a *bigger* fireball if I explode. 5. Fuel leak? Is that what I smell? Nurse as far back home as possible. 6. Start planning shortest most threat free way back to base. Good thing I reviewed the briefing and have general vectors to get back to base pre-planned, even if only mentally. 7. Can I restart the black boxes at all? 8. Once closer, check systems to see if it's worth putting the gear down. Don't want it stuck now. Sometimes the belly is more gentle. 9. Try the most gentle landing I can. Oh, and make sure the meat wagon is rolling. I think I got a hangnail putting my flight gloves on earlier. 10. Enjoy drink at O-club or leave the base feet first.1 point

I would do this with two continuous triggers Continuous > Unit Alive AND flag 1 false > message "taking fire" AND set flag 1 true Continuous > Time since flag 1 (60) > set flag 1 false First trigger checks if unit is still alive and if flag is false. If flag false it will display message and set flag 1 true. The second trigger will then turn the flag off again after 60 seconds which will trigger the first trigger again. To control when it starts set flag 1 true at mission start and make it false once you want the messaging to start.1 point

The continuous triggers check the conditions ever second or two I think. Once it starts have it activate another flag. Use this other flag to start your timer. Basically you need something like, Continuous, unit alive, flag 1 on Once, flag 1 on, set flag 2 on have a new set of conditions that is a repeatable trigger that checks for flag 2 every XX seconds. Also have it check that flag 3 is false. in the activation have it display the message, then turn flag 2 off and back on. and in XX seconds it will repeat its actions. When unit dies or is killed add a new condition that sets flag 3 to true, and it will stop.1 point

I know that Moa from the 104th wrote a stats mod that does this. However, it was broken with the 1.1.0.8 patch. I am working with him to try to fix it. So yea, you can capture pilot events quite easily. In the mod I made, Slmod, I put a global variable right at the beginning, that if you set to true, will output the latest events to a file in your Saved Games/Logs folder (assuming you are the multiplayer host). Have an external program read that file, and that is how you can track stats.1 point
