Hello my sim pilot colleagues :pilotfly: many people here are discussing their FPS results in BS2, but their lonesome numbers are useless for others, it has no comparable value, because you don't know their hardware, graphics settings and resolution and part of game where it was measured. So i decided to make a downloadable track, which can be used for common FPS measurement. Procedure 1/ download my track 2/ start BS2 3/ go to graphic settings and set it to HIGH 4/ load my track 5/ right after the start of the track press "RCtrl+Pause/Break" to see FPS rate in top left corner of your screen. You can also use FRAPS 6/ write down FPS values when the circle is drawn around it with cursor - now we have same track playing and same graphic settings :thumbup: You will get four values A/ cold & dark machine B/ machine with running engines C/ ...with map on Abris D/ ...with image on Shkval 7/ last and most important: Post your results here and don't forget to mention your hardware! My results: A/ 23 B/ 20 C/ 19 D/ 18 HW: Phenom II X4 955 BE @ 3.2 GHz, 4GB Ram, Ati 4870 512MB VRam, res. 1680x1050, W7 x64 Edit: Don't forget to mention also your Windows vesion (like I did :smilewink:) Edit 2: My new Sapphire 7870 OC just arrived today, so this test was the first thing, that i made ;) My results #2 - same settings A/ 34 B/ 31 C/ 28 D/ 24 - everything maxed out A/ 31 B/ 28 C/ 26 D/ 21 As you can see, if I want to have better results, I must upgrade also my CPU, I think that i72600 is the right choice... Edit 3: BS2 track doesnt work in World anymore. But stay tuned, I will make a new one, maybe SOON(*), maybe LATER(*) (*) - ED trademark :D But I can tell you, that there is no difference between new and old Black Shark graphic test.trk

Sorry but I don't want to read this entire thread. I just wanted to relay an experience I had today. Its been a struggle to go to the WH and BS Multiplayer browsers only to face the low population and the high numbers of locked servers. Today I bit the bullet and wiggled through all the Teamspeak hoops to get a password for the 74th. Well honestly "all the Teamspeak hoops" took a total of 30 seconds. But the result was one of the most enjoyable multiplayer experiences I've had since Flamming Cliffs. I flew no. 3 in a flight of 3 Ka50's. What a feaking blast. In the end we were defeated by 2 Mi28s but the experience was fantastic. The advantage DCS enjoys when compared to other MP flight sims like IL2 is that the population doesn't need to be high. The missions are Co-op, not H2H. Two professional players beats 20 jerkoffs any day of the week. Adding FC3 might well kill what I think is currently a very enjoyable high CAS/low-CAS dynamic. But right now I don't care about the meager online population. The people who do show up do so with a sense of mission. Kudos to the squads and mission designers who keep it fun and professional, whatever the population.

You just want to have as little pitch in the blades as possible, so the only control position that will help is center the pedals, center the cyclic, and make sure the collective is full down. In fact, I tried your track, and the blades barely moved until I pulled up on the collective, and then they took off spinning. Before they hit, I lowered the collective and put the rotor brake back on, and they never hit. I only tried the startup once, and the blades did not hit each other, but I can see how it's kind of a hit or miss thing. HAHA get it!? HIT or MISS! HAHAHA!! Sorry.

All the reviews I've seen suggest improvement over the 6970 of nearly 30%, so this could very well be worth the upgrade, in my case.

You might want to re-read my post. ;) Your video is BS1. Not BS2. Big difference. I strongly doubt you were uploading videos of BS2 before it was released... ;)

Review at Techpowerup made me rethink of getting it, I like the overall relative performance summary page, it seems for my resolution (I run 1920x1800 with 3 monitors) I might get about 50% increase over HD5870 which is actually not that bad http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/HD_7970/28.html

You should consider a 6970 with 2GB. I run 4 monitors off of that and am very pleased. Price has probably dropped now, too.

The report gives some hints of the incredible performance of the raptor; 1.6 Mach no burners and a climb to more than 15700m, holly crap! I think that the 1.7 maximal speed is bs; Imagine what is the max celling of that jet! Probably close to foxbat levels!

It might be worth checking out posts 7 and 8 in this threadhttp://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65901&highlight=thrustmaster+calibration I had a similar issue with my TM stick, a noticeable right hand bias, a quick calibration solved the issue

Триммировать надо и педали. После нажатия Т надо будет педали вернуть в среднее положение, иначе после отпускания Т, вертолет начнет разворачивать вокруг оси. Галка на "Ждать возврата в среднее" ставить не надо. На возврат педалей в 0 будет примерно 1 секунда. Либо попробуй второй вариант, нажми Т и не отпуская верни педали в 0, а затем отпусти Т. Должно оттримировать без рывков по курсу.

Да. Но вот с триммером то сложности )) Ладно я вас понял )) Вернусь с отпуска буду активно заниматься :joystick: :D

Well, I'm not sure I find it a good read. The reports seems to me too assertive in blaming the pilot for failing to save his own life. It would have been more decent to point at the combination of factors and acknowledge that a hazardous situation arose from the bleed air malfunction. But I'm sure the board president will take the air in an F-22 to show how the pilot should have responded.

There are alarms on all aircraft, but when you are disoriented and don't know which way is up, the alarm won't help you. At that mach speed, how many seconds would it take to hit the ground? 10, 12? Seem like a long time when you are looking at the clock, completely different when you are task saturated, suffering for hypoxia, a combination of both or what ever affected the pilot.

I read the conclusion of the report Antartis gave a link to and I have 2 questions guys: 1. Isn't it a normal reaction if you are experiencing breathing issues to get off the mask, cause the investigation found out the pilot wore his mask all the way down? 2. The aircraft hit the ground at an angle of 48 degrees and with speed of Mach 1.1, isn't there an alarm in the Raptor to warn the pilot when the aircraft is on a crash course? I didn't see one mentioned in the report, but the maneuverable this aircraft is after hearing such warning it should be fairly easy to level it manually or even to press a single button to activate the autopilot and maintain a level flight.
