Thought I would share this Configuration and Lua files for the like minded, to try and get some use out of the TM Warthog Hotas. I haven't delegated any HOTAS switches in regard to engine start up, mainly to do with Throttle, Prop Control Lever, Trim, Knee Board, Gun/Bomb/Rocket selection. The engine " Start Up" and maintenance of systems in its extant form is still simple and better to use the "in cockpit switches" until future patches open further controls. I am also playing around with an idea in its early stages of getting some name plates cut etched and sized from plastic / perspex type material to replace the switch and button name plate on the throttle block, they basically screw off and are easily fitted, this will be slow, but i will try to get there. This will be initially for BS 2 and later for Mustang. Shouldn't be too hard, but time is my enemy. Please find attached the Lua's for Throttle. Joystick and rudders and a PDF of Throttle / joystick/ Saitek Rudder assignments. Any constructive feedback welcome. Improving the Lua's by adding more switches, will post soon. :pilotfly: Some people have asked how to use the Lua files , read the following: The Lua files are for the HOTAS /Throttle and Joystick and a set of SAITEK Combat Rudders and they tell the Warthog HOTAS the commands to use. It is easy to change them. 1. First download and save them to a folder. 2. Open the game, 3. Open Options then Controls, 4. There is a column assigned to each device, ie, one for the Joystick, one for the Rudders (if you have them) etc etc 5. Highlight the first line in the column of the device you want and clear it using "Clear Category", this will clear the column, if you want to reset it to the default settings, just highlight again and hit the "default" settings. This will reset the factory settings. 6. So to use the Lua files do the following - for example once you have cleared the "joystick" column then re-highlighted that column Load the lua from the folder you saved them in from the "Load Profile" button. Do the same for each device if you want to use that Lua file. 7. Make sure you save the Profile when your done before you leave the settings page Thats it.... There is plenty of info in the forum about doing this, it isnt hard. A friend of mine has been working of this: A Manned Manouvering Unit sim, coming soon to iOS (iPhone and iPod) Flying this thing around is surprisingly rewarding. The best bit is the attention to detail on those models. He is not cutting any corners! More stuff on his blog, if you are interested in his day-to-day coding and modelling adventures... :) http://www.astronautgame.blogspot.co.uk/1 point

I don't care. I don't strip down my processes so I figure the more the merrier, programs are going to run in the background. I am having no issues, I run great.1 point

Yes, it would be better. Do not mix everything up, my files are free. Thank you for the stars. R11 point

Its a rotatable knob. Try rotating your mouse wheel while the cursor is above it. If that doesn't work, you can use keyboard commands (RShift + RAlt + A)Move knob to left (RShift + RCtl + A) move knob to right, and you can pull the knob out by using (RShift + A). Thanks for trying out my mission. :thumbup:1 point

I would guess would be it's the phase hanger. If the hanger doors are closed the foam will potentially fill up the entire hanger. If I'm conducting maintenance in the hanger and the alarm goes the guys working with me will only see a*shole and elbows as I'm running out the door :D. That being said, there are some unhappy crew chiefs because they'll be pulling panels on these jets to clean because of how corrosive the agent is.1 point

1) You can launch the R-27ET with radar lock, but the radar lock is not doing anything for the guidance of the missile. The missile will need to use it's own seeker to lock. Better to use EOS and wait for the LA confirmation. 2) Cloud thermal signature is not modelled. 3) No warning is given. 4) No. The missile is completely autonomous using it's own thermal seeker 5) You can't use EOS to launch a radar missile. As mentioned, you can lock with EOS and fire a R-77, but the R-77 will use it's own seeker. 6) +-30° in azimuth (slewable left and right to a max of +-60°) and +-5° in elevation (slewable up and down to a max of +-30°). 7) Not very long at all. I believe that there is a 4 bar scan pattern implemented. Really, it pretty much instantaneous if there is a contact in the scan area and the aspect and distance is such that your radar will detect it.1 point

((1 point

1. I believe the seeker on the ET needs to acquire the target. It is a heat seeking missile, with an electro-optical seeker. 2. In FC2, yes I believe so. I don't think clouds affect radar or EO systems in FC2. 3. No. The radar does not change modes when the ET is fired. With semi active radar homing missiles, the radar on the launch plane changes modes which is detected by the target. This is not the case with the ET missile. 4. No. Radar lock is needed just for radar guided missiles (semi active and most active for longer ranges). 5. I think the only missile that can be launched like this is the r-77, which is active radar homing. Once fired, I'm guessing the r-77's onboard radar would go active to track the target. The enemy's RWR/RWS system would pick up the incoming missile. 6. 30 degrees sounds about right for horizontal, not sure about vertical. 7. No idea but I would guess the way it's modeled in FC2 it would be under 2 seconds. This being said, you will never get a complete scan of the sky as distance, target altitude, target aspect, your altitude and target radar cross section will all affect if detection occurs. Also, I believe high pulse return frequency scans faster than medium pulse return frequency.1 point

I would pay for such a DC modul that combines the dcs planes. I am coming from the Falcon community. The only reason, why i buy A-10 is the info about developing a DC. Yes, i want to play the most realistic Simulation, but i need a sandbox system around me. I dont know why, but to play a dynamic campaigne over weeks is really fun. If you have ever played a dynamic campaigne it gets to one of the most important reasons, to buy a new simulator. Perhaps not for all, but for me.1 point

I've devised/discovered a formula that can predict within ~10 seconds of usage when the Laser on the ka-50 will burn out from over use Here is a Video proof of concept The formula itself is when [Number of activations]*8 + [Actual laser burn time] > 1050 it burns out where an activation = firing a vikhr or pressing the "lock" button causing it to rangefind and actual burn time is what it shows on the left side of the hud Video explains it pretty well, I tried several scenarios where I used it for a bit , keeping track of what a did, then used the formula to predict how much more i could do and the worst it was off was by two 8-second rangefind/locks1 point

It would be nice if everyone would just contribute to the ED Wiki. There was another wiki at one point, and it had a lot of great material, and there was much bally-hoo regarding the fact that it was completely separate from ED. Then one day it went *poof*. ED's wiki is still here, and it will continue ot be here, and anyone can contribute to it. The reason it's sparse now is because not enough people know about it and not enough of those people contribute to it.1 point

New issues. -If a carrier has moving and a airplane stuck other, the damaged airplane float on the position, leaving the carrier. -Somewhere, the S-3 engines turn transparent1 point
