  1. Adding to the list of assets with functionality issues, thanks to relentless testing efforts from a dedicated tester. These assets are a separate category through, but will also need tailored solutions: AFT-10 HJ-10 CV9050 Spike LR2 RBS 58 FGM-148
  2. Thank you @Abburo and @Timex3 - and everyone else supporting the development! Status update Weapon issues with DCS 2.9.5.55300 As you remember, there are currently two issues at hand. 1) Affecting all SAMs using TVC - making them go haywire and flying everywhere All affected missiles in all the affected country packs have been fixed. We are running final tests now. 2) Affecting all missiles using the old DCS missile parameter set - making them fall short of the intended target As I mentioned before, this issue is a bit more tricky as it can't be reproduced with DCS core units (as ED has migrated all their weapons to newer parameter sets), and therefore we can't submit a proper error report to ED. I'm working weapon for weapon to see what I can come up with. I'm currently working on the guided 155 mm shells and think I have a viable solution. Here's the preliminary list of assets affected by issue #2: HIMARS ATACMS HIMARS PrSM HIMARS PrSM antiship HIMARS GLSDB HIMARS GMLRS M270 GLSDB M270 GMLRS M270 ATACMS M777 Excalibur B-21 AGM-88G DF-21D PCL-181 GP155 Type 055 YJ-21 Iskander 9M723 Grigorovich Frigate RBU-6000 Artillerisystem 08 Excalibur PzH 2000 Excalibur
  3. It's because I always try to emulate the real thing as close as possible. This often means I have to be creative with the tools I'm given. This also means I often have to use the more advanced parameters. In this case it's the thrust vectoring parameter that has changed in the core game missile API. For example, my Tor actually cold launches its missiles, like it should, but this is only possible thanks to the more advanced missile parameter setups. That's why I sometimes ponder if I should stick to the older and more basic setups, in order to avoid these issues. But in this case we can see that the most basic missile parameter setup has been even more affected (that's why the HIMARS, YJ-21, GPS-guided shells etc aren't working). So my conclusion would be to just continue as is, and repair stuff when this happens. It's not like the 3rd parties are unaffected of core changes, just check Dekas changelogs about missile changes over time.
  4. Well, I don't want more broken assets than necessary, so I'll probably release fixes for the SAMs and deactivate the non-working stuff until I have solutions for them. Cool! Thanks for the info! Not really. It's the TVC parameter in Modeldata that has changed in the missile API. We'll see when they take if further. At the moment it's only a single PAC-3 MSE in a Mk41 cell. It's probably physically possible to cram two of them in a cell, without changing the missile. The older CRI would probably fit four of them. Yep, they all need to be individually solved. I'm considering making cold war era assets in the near future. The majority of my SAMs are out of action with the latest DCS update.
  5. Status update Weapon issues with DCS 2.9.5.55300 There seem to be two different issues with the latest DCS update. 1) Affecting all SAMs using TVC - making them go haywire and flying everywhere This is the issue I found earlier and it's been confirmed by ED. I'm in progress of making the necessary changes to all affected missiles. 2) Affecting all missiles using the old DCS missile parameter set - making them fall short of the intended target This is the newly found issue. It affects all weapons using the old DCS missile parameter set. The reason for using this set is because of specific needs for specific weapons (like long range ballistic type) as DCS doesn't support them officially yet, like YJ-21, DF-21D, Excalibur, PrSM and ATACMS etc. Unfortunately I haven't found a suitable way to update these weapons to the modern DCS missile parameter set. It will probably take a lot of time, since I will have to find a specific new solution for each of the affected weapons. I haven't decided exactly what to do yet. But as I want to release the fixpacks for issue #1 I might disable all the non-functioning weapons until further notice.
  6. We're looking for the TRML-4D AESA radar.
  7. I’m still on the lookout for a model of the TRML-4D radar system.
  8. Status update I've identified the issues and which assets and weapons that are affected. I'm now working on fixes for them. First up is the Chinese fixpack, which now is out for testing before release. China (Testing) Russia Sweden UK USA (WIP)
  9. MANTIS is the german military name for the Rheinmetall (Oerlikan) Skyshield concept (used for defending air bases, now transferred to Slovakia). Using the 35 mm revolver gun primarily with AHEAD, air burst ammunition in the VSHORAD/C-RAM role. It's available in combined systems (gun and AESA/EOS) and separate radar systems with several gun systems linked together. The Skyshield is the successor to the Skyguard from the 50-60s. The mobile version is called Skyranger and is available in 30 and 35 mm versions. I have added the 30 mm version with the integrated Stinger launcher to one of my Boxer assets.
  10. Status update Military Asset Pack Germany I'm around 75% done with the Germany pack updates. There will be a total of around 15+ new assets in the upcoming release. Missile issues with DCS 2.9.5.55300 I also noticed issues with some of my missiles with the latest DCS update. ED has changed some core parameters which mean I have to create fix updates for all packs containing modern missiles. I will make these updates incremental as they only need to update some of the code. It looks like it's the missile thrust vectoring that's completely changed. The fixes will unfortunately take a lot of time and I will have to release fix updates for the following country packs: China Russia Sweden UK USA This will put the Germany asset pack update on hold for now.
  11. Strange, I just ran a test mission with SCUDs vs THAAD and Arleigh Burke Flight III SM-3. They worked just fine. Any particular mission setup you're using?
  12. Hey! Check my FAQ: https://www.currenthill.com/faq
  13. I was playing around with the Skynex on HX truck and recorded some.
  14. I didn't add it because it's primarily for export, and I've already added the Bastion-P and Bal.
  15. Haha, yep. Even though I already have Patriot systems for both USA and Sweden I really wanted to add the German version since it's unique as it's mounted on a truck. Which is very good for quick deployments, like in Ukraine. And I also chose to implement the current older German systems, which is the PAC-2 GEM and MPQ-53 radar (none of which are featured in my USA or Sweden pack).
  16. If you have disabled all my and other mods and DCS still doesn't work, you need to repair DCS. And yes, one conflicting asset in any mod package can make all units disappear. That's how DCS work.
  17. There is a conflict. Either it's one or more of my older single asset packs (which are now included in my country packs). Or maybe it's the Admiral Kasatonov ship, which is replaced by my Admiral Gorshkov in my Russia pack.
  18. I'll stay away from going into details about things I don't know enough about, like EDs business model and such. But when it comes to my models, the majority of them would be safe to distribute with a game. In simple terms, the most common license type stipulates that redistribution 3D model file in its native format is forbidden. But it's okay if it's exported in a proprietary format like EDM, that requires reverse engineering to obtain. That's actually one of the main reasons they are for sale in the first place. It's often a large part of the advertisement, and also why the original creator have to accept the standardized license agreement when selling them through these sites (like Turbosquid and CGTrader etc).
  19. Here are my guiding principles on liveries for my assets: Avoid markings since I need the assets to be able to be used by several countries without having to redo all the textures Two liveries: camouflage and desert (if user countries doesn't use camouflage it will instead be green) You have to remember that every added bit of work becomes enormous with scaling. I have almost 200 assets to maintain, if I want to add a livery type to each, it'll take a long time since I have to make 200 new liveries. Some of my older assets doesn't follow this yet, but as I update each country pack I add the missing liveries.
