  1. I did some testing and I agree. The flight profile of the HHQ-9 doesn't work very well against the PrSM. I will make a note of it for the next update.
  2. Thanks for reporting issues! FYI, here is the current list of fixes that will be included in the Military Asset Pack USA version 1.1.2 fixpack. MAP USA 1.1.2 - WIP Fixed THAAD AN/TPY-2 missing sound Fixed THAAD AN/TPY-2 missing wheel rotation Fixed HIMARS GLSDB missing desert livery Fixed HIMARS PrSM AShM missing desert livery Fixed HEMTT M983 missing desert livery
  3. Thanks, I was sure I had fixed the wheel issue. But it seems I only fixed one side. The LAV-AD is already available in desert. The HIMARS also comes with desert liveries. But there seem to be an issue with it on the GLSDB and PrSM AShM versions. All the others have working desert liveries.
  4. Thanks! I see the issue, it's the target type. In order to make my DF-21 reasonable accurate in regards to precision I had to be inventive. It uses radar homing, and your target ship doesn't have a radar. If I had used the standard GPS tracking it would be 0 millimeter accurate, which wouldn't be very realistic.
  5. Military Asset Pack USA 1.1.1 released! Changelog Version 1.1.1 Fixed Arleigh Burke Flight III Destroyer missing glass textures New update distribution model I'm trying something new with this update. It's available in two versions: The standard full download (for users who haven't downloaded the 1.1.0 version yet and of course want the fixed version). The incremental download which updates 1.1.0 to 1.1.1 and contains only the changed files. You apply it by overwriting your 1.1.0 installation. My plan is to release fixes (the last digit in the version number) this way going forward. To avoid unnecessary download, but still being able to fix annoying issues.
  6. I just sunk a ship at 480 nm, no issues. Send me a simple test mission with the issue and I'll take a look.
  7. Unfortunately it has to go into the DCS core folder, not saved games.
  8. Unfortunately I don't have the F-15E Strike Eagle module, so I don't know how it operates, nor can I test it.
  9. I've added a weapon ranges table for each of the new/changed ships.
  10. Thanks for noticing, it's the picture that's wrong. Edit: The site has been updated.
  11. Thanks, I've fixed it internally! It seems inevitable that some of these slip through. Well, we'll see if other things pop up the next couple of days and I'll release fixed version.
  12. RWR and HARM ID 1.4.0 released! Changelog Version 1.4.0 Added Arleigh Burke Flight III Destroyer Added Arleigh Burke Flight IIA Destroyer Added Ticonderoga Cruiser Added Ticonderoga CMP Cruiser Added Constellation Frigate Added MIM-140 AN/MPQ-65 HEMTT Added MIM-140 AN/MPQ-65A HEMTT Added MIM-140 LTAMDS HEMTT Added THAAD AN/TPY-2 Removed Arleigh Burke Flight III Destroyer AShM Removed Arleigh Burke Flight III Destroyer LACM Removed Arleigh Burke Flight III Destroyer SAM Removed Ticonderoga CMP Cruiser AShM Removed Ticonderoga CMP Cruiser LACM Removed Ticonderoga CMP Cruiser SAM
  13. Agree. I did a lot of testing in regards to this a while ago. But unfortunately I couldn't find a way to make a helicopter with AWACS attributes in DCS.
  14. I mostly make one version of my assets, but in the rare cases I make exceptions. For example when an asset have very different weapons, like the HIMARS, and there is no way of controlling it efficiently without having multiple different assets. Or in the case of the Arleigh Burke, where the ship in itself is such a centerpiece of the US Navy, and has been for such a long time (unlike other ships like the Chinese Type 055 which is very new). In this case I wanted to make both an older and a newer versions for users to be able to play out different era scenarios. Only having the Flight III with every new and shiny weapon would easily become very anachronistic in scenarios taking place before yesterday. Continuing with the Arleigh Burke example, there is something in there for everyone. If you just want to play with the new toys, use the Flight III with the radar seeker missiles and new TLAM with antiship capability. But if your scenario takes place 5-10 years ago (or earlier), use the IIA with the semi-active missiles guided by the fire control radars and its limitations with the number of simultaneous targets etc.
  15. Nice! Don't forget that you can add a PAC-3 launcher to the THAAD system also. It'll use the TPY-2 radar. Haha, everything is a competition.
  16. Yep, OvGME seem to be unable to handle larger zips. Haven't found a way around this yet. So the heavy zip will need unzipping. I guess the best workaround for the time being would be another module manager. But I really like OvGME, so I stick with it despite this issue.
  17. Yeah, I like to surprise. Now let's see how the download links hold up...

  19. No, there are around 60 assets in total in the US pack. With every update I have to go through and test all the assets to make sure they work as intended. Also, more or less every asset get some sort of change with every update. No matter how small the change is, I have to perform the tests. Because in DCS, a single comma at the wrong place will ruin your day.
  20. I think sometimes it's hard to grasp the amount of time any form of (even basic) testing takes. The US pack contains around 60 different assets, imagine performing 10 tests per asset. That's 600 tests. There's also a lot of work involving the release, everything from cleaning up the folders, removing redundant files to creating the loadout spec sheets and updating the web. That said, we're almost there now. The testers received a RC1 of the US update yesterday. If nothing major has broken I'm releasing it very soon.
  21. The only time I can't add a custom engine sound is when the unit is equipped with radar. Due to a DCS bug, the engine sound will then be locked in position, so the vehicle will drive away from the sound. Very strange bug.
  22. I've said it before. For every update I'm going through all the weapons and radars and updating them. For example, the SM-3 will behave differently in the upcoming USA pack update.
  23. I started the work on the Buk M3 but didn't have time to finish it before I the last release of the Russia pack. But it will most likely be included in the next.
