  1. I must have been sleeping all day when this was posted! This opens the doors for some great possibilities! I just exported the CDU screen and put my CDU panel over top of it and I got shivers!! Especially when all the LSK buttons lined up with the appropriate lines! Awesome work to everyone who found and made this possible!!! Side thought... has this been capable in the sim for awhile (during the betas) or is it only in the final? I know I've seen discussions where people were hoping ED would make this possible. Did they put in and just not mention it? Inquiring minds want to know. :D

    HogBox

Wow! :shocking: And I was hesitant to remove the metal panels from the sides of my WH!! Looking good!!
  3. Hmmm, never got into the ARMA series, but this may be worth looking at. Even if it's not full fidelity like the DCS titles, it might be a fun break from flying the hog. :)
  4. Where does the time go!?! Work has been keeping me busy and slowed me down on the pit project. :( However, I have completed (hopefully :D) my UFC design. If all goes well, I hope to fabricate and assemble all the parts in the next week or so. I'll use standoffs to hold the backplate at the correct distance so all the UFC buttons to rest on top of the pushbutton switches. If there's any problem with that design, I'll just drill a shallow recess into the bottom of each button so that it rests on the switch actuator. I hope to use an illuminate pushbutton behind the master caution button so that I can back light that. Backlighting the rest of the buttons and the panel will be possible, but probably not done this time around.
  5. +1 Thanks!!!
  6. Nice work as usual! Those are about the same numbers I came up with measuring the UFC from drawings using screen calipers (after I calibrated them to the MFD display of 5"). I rounded mine up to 9x2 to allow for a little extra room. :D

    My Pit

    Very nice Paul!
  8. That's almost worth going back to school for!!
  9. Very nice Keith!! I wish I could afford solidworks - those are some great renders!
  10. Wow! I'd love to have that monitor setup!!
  11. Thanks very much gents!!
  12. Thanks! I appreciate the ideas. I'll give those a try. :)
  13. I have a Nvidia GTX 480 card and added a Geforce 6200 card to run the MFD's for the A-10 on. With the 6200 card installed but no monitor connected to it, everything is fine. If I connect any monitor to the 6200 card, the computer takes about a minute longer to log in. Then if I make any changes to resolution, screen positions, etc. all the screens go black. I have a mouse cursor but that's all. Same thing happens if I start DCS A-10 and then exit. I've installed the latest nvidia drivers (266.58). I verified both card can use the same drivers too. I'd appreciate some suggestions on things to try to figure out what's causing this.
  14. Thanks! I've been considering those, but waiting to hear what others thought first. :)
  15. Looking good! How do you like those rudder pedals??
  16. The first TrackIR device I had was version 3 and I can say without reservation that TrackIR 5 blows it away. The 6DOF is really impressive and once you've used it, you won't regret it! :D Can't comment on the Chachya software.
  17. Here's me being optimistic that I'll have working guages in my pit one day! :D Guage faceplate drawings... not yet to scale.
  18. Does anyone know or have a source for the diameter of the various guages in the A-10?
  19. Yes, it is yellow and white, but I think that would add to much time and be much more difficult to get good results. What I did was to paint the panel black, then overlay a stencil that I lasered and used that to paint a solid yellow border. Then, after the paint was dry, I overlayed another stencil to paint back on the black separations. My first attempt just using one stencil to paint on the yellow border with separations did not yield very good results. I definitely could do all the painting and just laser etch the border, but the time on the laser would be about twice what it is now. Wanted something was of good quality but still affordable. I may still try some other methods to see if I can get better results, but I am happy with these at the moment. :)
  20. I think I've found a good way to produce the yellow border on the EFCP panel. It's not perfect, but it's very good. Best part is this should only bump up the price about $10-$15. What do you all think??
  21. Hi, I don't know what will work, but have you tried any of the software/drivers from th e ELO site? http://www.elotouch.com/Support/Downloads/dnld.asp
  22. Have you tried any older version of your video drivers? I always keep one or two levels of the old drivers on hand since on more than one occasion, the video driver has been the culprit in some crashes with other games. :)
  23. Thanks for the reference Deadman! I'll look that up. :)
  24. Sure thing. I'll need to find a scale, but I'll get that to you as soon as I can.
