  1. I have FSX myself with some higher-realism addons. I have the T-6 from Alpha-Sim, PMDG's J-41, RealAir's SF260 and Duke, A2A simulatons' Stratocruiser with Accu-Sim, Captian Sim's 757, the L-39 from LotusSim and VoxATC. I don't have any scenery addons, though, I'm more into reading the 500 pages just to know how to start the engines!:book::D I saw that same show about the airports, too. Most of those fields are not represented very well in default FSX scenery. If you want to make the most out of visiting them, get some addon packs that include these fields. One airport I think they forgot to include: Innsbruck. One of the default missions has you flying the LOC DME west in a snowstorm! Fun. If you have any instrument-related questions, ask away!
  2. Another way to tell that it's inert: the color. Blue usually means a training round. Also, the missiles closest to the wingtips have no forward fins. I don't know if the live versons of that missile (idk what it is) have guidance fins up front, but the guidance package is usually removed from training ordance, leaving just the seeker so that pilots can still lock the weapon to a target.
  3. I did. Methinks he may have gone negative-g and some fuel worked its way to the vent.
  4. Alright, I guess I have to wait then. Hey Wags, where's note #3?:D
  5. Okay then, if you have a previously stored point, how is the symboligy different than where it is currently looking?
  6. Is that where the sensor is currently looking, or a stored point?
  7. I know what the TAD is, but what is a SPI?
  8. They are bigger, and have more buttons. There is a dimesnsioned drawing somewhere on the forums here. As a starting point, the visible area of the screen inside the bezel is 5 inches by 5 inches.
  9. Nice job and good luck!
  10. That second picture just looks so wrong! I read the comments and one poster said that to him it looked like the right engine failed. I generally agree with his logic, based on the nozzles being at different positions, and the flames at impact. However, it seems to me that the failure of one engine would not cause such an uncontrollable roll rate given that they are right next to each other. Would the roll authority not be enough to counter that?
  11. He must be coming back from a mission, I don't see any Vikhrs on the wings.:D
  12. I don't think so, given its distance from Nellis, and the fact that it's in the opposite direction from the training ranges, AFAIK.
  13. Hey, whatever it takes to win the fight!:D That's the right attitude!
  14. Yeah, but there is no more of the 130 octane leaded avgas it used. I guess you could put a turboprop on the front though...:music_whistling:
  15. :lol::thumbup:
  16. Well, as the saying goes, "Once the paperwork equals the takeoff weight of the airplane, then you can fly.":D
  17. All right, here's one that's not covered by NDA. How is the NVIS lighting applied to the engine gauges? Are the post lights just white or two-color? Is the NVIS lighting inside the gauge, like the others?
  18. Yup.:chair:
  19. Ummm, a "landing alarm" instead of a backup alarm?:dunno: As in, "Get outta my way, I'm landing!":D
  20. Both of those are correct.
  21. Interesting idea! But then looking up/down and tilting left/right would be affected.
  22. :megalol:
