  1. Poor Butter-Bar Fillmore. Stalled/snap-rolled/augered in, scissoring in the weeds with a coupla veteran bf-109 pilots, after being jumped while attempting to finish off kill #75. Hell of a pilot. Bowie
  2. ... of which there are exactly - none. Starter pack - P-51D-25-NA/357th FG: (not like you don't already have the liveries) Bowie 357th Fighter Group 362nd Fighter Squadron 363rd Fighter Squadron 364th Fighter Squadron
  3. Yes, a very nice effect. Thanks DCS/Dev. Bowie
  4. Came here to post on this very problem RE: the P-51D-25-NA. @NineLine Please Advise. Bowie
  5. It gets worse. The track runs with the invisible "kills". But the Player A/C Takes New Damage. This was an unscathed, Four-"kill" Track. Zombie plane came back on the same Track, shot to hell w/ a dead engine, lands and taxis on phantom landing gear. Please advise. Bowie Four-Score.trk
  6. All the personal "kills" in the missions are now Invisible, just shooting into empty space. WTH, Over. On MT version. Please advise. Bowie Ace (Killer)-in-a-Day.trk
  7. Have the "Allies Rangfinder (DRT)" added, and resupply truck in range. Neither the QF 3.7 In. nor the 40 MM Bofors Activated for "Fighter Sweep" fighters. When some Sections were changed to "Ground Attack", Both activated. The OF 3.7 Tracks, but does Not Fire. The 40MM Bofors Does Track and Fire. Guess would be the "Allies Rangfinder (DRT)" unit. The Axis AAA is working just fine, both heavy and light. This Bug is relatively new, could be since the last big update. Please Advise. Bowie
  8. Moved/Delete Bowie
  9. Logitech EXTREME 3D PRO. $30 at the river. All ya need, nothin' ya don't. Bowie
  10. Think this one is fixed. Have run several multi-Section missions, and there is now a little, natural hunting for station, that looks good. They probably just missed a decimal point or something and corrected it. Thank you, DCS/Dev. Bowie
  11. Now that DCS/Dev has the tote board workin' correctly again. Flew Ten(10) combat missions, 12 v. 12, from Cricqueville, meeting the enemy somewhere around the town of Clec'y, in the mountains along the Orne river, between Caen and Flers. - One Flight (Player) with 1 Section of P-51's - One Flight with 2 Sections of P-51's - One Flight with 2 Sections of bf109's - One Flight with 1 Section of FW190's Section Skill Levels: First Section - Ace, Veteran, Veteran, Trained. Second Section - Veteran, Trained, Veteran, Trained. Started from a cold, dark aircraft: - fight started @ 12,000 feet, 15 minutes away, with takeoff/climb/patrol. - No Cheats (zoom/labels/map), just instruments, terrain, Mk.1 eyeball. - RTB'd Seven missions. - Dead-sticked Three, into either a river beach or tree enclosed "bocage" field. Thirty-Five kills. Lived to fight another day. Bowie.
  12. When the F4U and F6F get fielded - you'll be qualified. Bowie.
  13. Have recently run the Gamma down from 1.7 to 1.5. Really likin'it. The instrument panel is now flat black, instead of what was assumed as gray, and most of the mid-day glare and haze that would obscure and mask aircraft at distance is all but gone. Even at dawn/dusk, there is more detail of A/C in low light, instead of them disappearing in the shadows. The lighting appears as a ~ 15 minute shift toward darkness, but otherwise the same, with better detail. All together a visual win. Bowie
  14. Am seeing some stable formations of late, on some new missions set up on the old format. Was this a stealth resolution? Whatever, am likin' the formations either way. Will continue to investigate to see if it is systemic. Bowie.
  15. Optimists - are constantly disappointed. Pessimists - are pleasantly surprised. CFS2 got me wedded to the PTO. But with all the work on the P-51D-25 N/A, both the DCS upgrades such as flight and damage mdl's, combined with the new 40-30deg view settings and 1.5 Gama, the Mustang has become an outstanding piece of fightin' machine. And that's what matters, the gun platform performance. With this setup - no zooming/labels/maps. Jump into a cold/dark A/C, navigate by instruments and terrain, find and fight with the Mk.1 eyeball and the seat of your pants, and them make it back home in one piece. 98% of the simulation. Bowie
  16. Flashy Air Corps stuff, for the ground crews. You're still drivin' it on. Try the Navy way. Dead-stick. Bowie
  17. Got this from an F4U pilot, but it's all the same: Approach - Lined Up/1,000 ft/250 mph - - Prop RPM to Full. - Trim Rudder. (~ 5° Left, or 3 seconds on the button) Over the ramp/runway - - Chop Throttle. (and don't touch it until you taxi off) 1st 90° of turn - (Break) - Break Left 60°/Level. - Open Canopy. - Look for Ramp/Runway. 2nd 90° of turn - (Down Wind) - Drop Landing Gear. - Trim Pitch. (~ 5° Up, or 3 seconds on the button) - One notch of Flaps. - Begin descent. 3rd 90° of turn - (Cross Wind) - Roll out of bank/set up final approach parameters. - Second, then third notch of flaps. 4th 90° of turn - (Final) - Fourth notch of flaps. - Bring the nose around toward the centerline of the ramp/runway. - Fifth/Full flaps. - Flare. - Stick the Tail Wheel as the nose comes to centerline and the wings level and stall. - Roll out/raise flaps. - Brake/exit runway. So, chop the power, screw down to the ramp, plant the tail wheel at the stall. (the last few degrees a pirouette) ... dead-stick. Jedi skill. Bowie
  18. Trivia is like that. The point is - This requires that one points their nose to see a different ~ 60° view window, head on a swivel. No "game" panorama views. And it feels 3D, like being inside, not just looking at a picture of something. Useful detection range is 1.5-2.0 MN, depending on background and lighting. And when you lose a bandit in a knife fight - it requires that you point your nose/maneuver your aircraft to reacquire, Not just "look over there," but maintaining your 3D situational awareness so that you can extrapolate/maneuver/pan to get then back into view, then drag'em into the gunsight. Jedi skill. Bowie
  19. Any takers on this? If a Simulator is what you're about... Bowie
  20. Will confirm this BUG. This is on a 4K monitor. And it's new, probably the last big, or the following small, update. Bowie
  21. As the title states. New BUG w/ this update. Please Advise. Bowie
  22. This looks exactly what was here to post a request for, reducing the max breaking gain to a percentage that will be functional w/ differential repeater keys. Pulled a copy of the folder and file over to the user install, and will mod and see if it works over there. Thank you for this, as WWII fighters are the real pilot stuff, from start-up to shut-down.
