  1. I don't see this bug listed to be fixed in the next update. It seems unrealistic to get a new aircraft since this will cause you to lose your score. This problem happen's to me whenever I land and shutdown the aircraft for repairs in multiplayer mode. I cannot get the CDU, EGI or DTS to start back up. The CDU display remains empty even after I turn the power back on and I cannot get the the DTS to reload.
  2. I'm looking foward to playing a little Russion Roulette with the Bellagio Hotel and a pair of CBU-97.
  3. Thanks guys, all fixed. I unstalled the motherboard sound drivers and then reinstalled them, and that seemed to do the trick. ED you might want to pass this along since this has happen to a few people. I am not sure what caused the problem, but I can tell you is was that I was flying for 6 hours last night when I was dropped by the server and when I came back online I notice that DCS was not showing any servers online and was forced to connect via a dirrect IP address when the problem occured. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I thought it is worth mentioning. Thanks for the help:)
  4. I checked the mixer and it looks ok. I only seem to have no in game audio, but my teamspeak is working just fine while I am in game. I just tried unstalling the sim and reinstalling, but that did not seem to help. All my windows audio still seems to be working just fine. Is there away to only mute DCS?
  5. I was playing online during the flyin with the 104th last night when the DCS server stop showing any server names in the list. I connected directly to the 104th server by viewing my history and selecting the IP address. After logging back-in, I notice I had no sound in the game. I still have sound with all my other applications. I am currently using a headset and I believe my soundboard is built into the motherboard. Not sure where to begin to try and fix this problem. I tried plugging in my Bose Speakers into a USB port and I noticed the audio played out of my speakers. Not sure why they stopped playing out of my head phones. Any ideas how to fix this problem. 6. I have the same problem, lost all sound in the game last night. I have sound with all my other apps. Really don't no where to begin. Currently I am using a headset and I believe my soundboard is built into the motherboard. Not sure where to begin to try and fix this problem, I could really use some help.
  7. Very helpful Viper, like always. Nice Job!
  8. Would it be possible for someone at ED to let us know if this glich introduced by the 1.1.0.9 patch can be fix in the future? We were really hoping to add DCS A-10C operations to our squad, but everything has been put on hold since 1.1.0.9 patch. We are not able to rollout any training tutorials. They just don't make any sense without a mouse pointer. The viewer really need's to know the location of the switch, gauge, or system being talked about in order to follow the tutorial. The mouse pointer was the only way I know of to make this work. Unfortunately, we cannot go back to the 1.1.0.8 build. I would really appreciate some help so that we can generate some interest in DCS A-10C again. :)
  9. Because of some changes to switch position and cockpit functionality, I have been trying to redo some of my training videos for our squad. Unfortunately, it just does not work without the mouse pointer. The mouse pointer would help draw the viewer's attention to a specific switch or gauge in the cockpit. This does not seem to be a drivers issues since people with both ATI and Nvidia are have the same issue. The mouse shows up on screen, it's just not being exporting after selecting Record AVI in the Mission Editor. Instead all I get is a white box where the mouse pointer is supposed to be. Our squad is adding support for DCS A-10C, but without training videos to help with the steep learning curve, I am afraid interest is going to fade. I am currently using Final Cut X to make our training videos using exported tracks from DCS A-10C version 1.1.0.9. I have tried other tools like FRAPS to export file, but the ability to work with a track files gives us the most flexibility and there is no frame rate hit. If anyone has a way around this issue I think a few of us would be grateful for some feedback.
  10. I was trying a new mission I built last night that had two separate JTAC controllers on different frequencies. Basically, I flew as flight lead in one group and my buddy flew in the second group. The mission seem to work really well. We both took turns contacting our JTAC controllers at different times. I would hold at a specific Waypoint while my friend would get his 9-line brief and complete his task. Then I would do the same after he checked out. The really fun part came when my friend suggested that we flly the same mission again, but this time he wanted to see what would happen if we both tried to contact our respective JTAC controllers at the same time and prosecute the attack. I have to say I did not expect it to work, but to my surprise it worked quite well. The mission was a great sucess. I thought you guys might want to know so you could explore this in your own mission building as well.:)
  11. I am trying to redo my training videos to accommodate changes in the startup procedures in the 1.1.0.9 patch. The mouse pointer is showing up as a white box after exporting the track? Anyone know what might be causing this and how I can get rid it. I did not have this problem in the 1.1.0.8 patch.
  12. I noticed when exporting a track out to an AVI file in the Mission Editor the mouse cursor shows up as a White Box. Could this have something to do with the Cockpit Textures now being separate from World Textures. It looks fine while watching the track, it only happens on exporting to an AVI file. See attached screen shot of the mouse cursor around the Battery Switch on the Electrical Panel.
  13. If you look at the center of RWR you will see the mouse cursor as a white box in the center. I noticed that if I watch the track the mouse cursor looks fine, but when I select the Record AVI in the Mission Editor and export it, the mouse cursor is shown as a white box while it exports. I tried both AVI and Theora codecs.
  14. I tried to update my mission training tracks last night and noticed that in all the tracks when I exported them out of the mission editor using the AVI Record feature, the mouse pointer is replaced with a solid white box. Any ideas what would cause this? I did not see this in the 1.1.0.8 patch and I have not changed any of my graphics settings.
  15. Toby I think your onto something. I reset the video setting to their defaults like you said and then made my adjustments accordingly. Keep in mind that I still have a little cloud flicker, but it's a lot less than what I had before and when I get close to a cloud it stops flickering all together. Also, I am still running the MFCD's in 1024K every frame, because it looks much sharper, but the key here is you are right about your setting being an improvement. I am no longer dropping into the 20 FPS range. It seems to be holding above 35 FPS with TGP on and in the WHOT mode and the MAVs online as well. Nice work:))))
  16. I will give it try. Thanks for all the effort by the way. I know everyone appreciates you trying to make it work. :)
  17. Toby I tried your settings on my rig and unfortunatly they did not help regarding the huge performance hit or the cloud flicker. The only thing that helps is reducing the MFCD to 512K ever frame from 1024K every frame, but that just gives me 2 or 3 more FPS. The lower res looks fuzzy and out of focus, which is why I don't use it. The other setting make no difference. I have vsync on so when I use the TGP in WHOT/BHOT I still get a 35 frame hit from 60 down 25 FPS and in CCD mode it a 30 FPS hit. Either way it is a big performance hit.
  18. I appreciate the feedback, I was hoping to find a new direction to improve performance. I guess what your saying is multi-processor mother boards is not the solution to improve frame rate.
  19. I was wondering if anyone has tried or has some feedback to share regarding the use of a multi-processor motherboard build to improve Frame Rate in DCS A-10C? I have tried several builds over the past few years and have concluded that in the end it does not matter whether you have two video boards or one, six core processors or two, because most hardcore flight simulations do not support the use of SLI or multi-core processors. It always comes down to the CPU doing most of the work and that seems to be where the bottleneck lies. I understand that their are exceptions to the above depending on whether you are running more than one monitor, and extra cores can help the operating system keep from using resources that might not be available for the flight simulation otherwise. My question is simple, would a multi processor motherboard be a better solution to improving frame rate, and would DCS A-10C run on this kind of platform uninhibited without any support from the simulation?;)
  20. Is the use of DirectX11 tied to the use of SLI and multi GPU processing?
  21. Why yes it does. And I add just a touch of SLI and Multi GPU processing because I hate drinking my coffee black. When I say black, I do not mean sRGB black. I mean fullly calibrated SpectraView II DICOM black. Oh and it taste good too. Pure Jamacan Blue Mountain PeaBerry whole bean. :drink:. I think I can say without a doubt that good coffee starts with the freshness of the been and the hardware (technology) used to makes it. Good coffee is all about the extraction of the Crema (oil) from the bean. See here is an example where technology can improve the quality (I mean taste) of something. Actually Sobek you raise an interesting question. Is it true that DirectX11 by itself is no faster than DirectX9 maybe even slower, and if so why are all the new DirectX11 games that come out running so fast?
  22. Windows 7 x64
  23. Just because the APU Generator is no longer supplying power to the Main Bus, does not mean its not still charging the batteries and supplying power to the APU oil cooling system according to you. Anyway the A-10C APU supplies more Bleed air then electrical power anyway, so most pilots leave it on during a hot day to provide more air-condition and as a backup incase of an electrical failure. But it is always shut down during the preflight taxi check.
  24. I believe the APU Generator is suppossed to trip offline automaticly once the the Left and Right Generators are supplying powering to the Main Bus. I believe the actual APU is left on until the right engine is started and the Right Generator in brought online to reduce the electrical load on the left Generator. Then the APU is shut down.
  25. Nate, which way do I have to turn the MFCD knob; CW or CCW to get it to turn on? I can't find it in the manual. :) hehehehehehe
