Can anyone suggest what keys I should use to map my track IR keys so they don't interfer with any of DCS keys?
-
Go back and watch TV that is if you can figure out how to work the remote. I hear Sponge Bob Square pant's is on.
-
I plan to buy it again when the box version comes out. ED thanks for letting us know about the delay. Best wishes to you in the New Year.

Do you relize how many hours maintanence is going to have put in to replace that tire and inspect that aircraft. I sure hope you are on good terms with your chief of maintance. I suggest flowers and chocolate. Nice video:)

error in Mission builder Encyclopedia There is an error in the Encyclopedia, it does not contain the correct AGM-65's modeled in the sim. Can you please update the Mission Builder Encyclopaedia to contain all four Mavericks available to the A-10C sim. It is currently missing G and H varients and it contains the E varient which is not included in the sim. Also I believe the TNT charge size is incorrect for those varients included.

To everyone at ED thanks for getting Beta 4 out in time for the holidays. To everyone else have a very Merry Christmas.:yay:
-
This is not the chat room for confessions, but since it's Christmas eve I offer you this: be a father first, children have an amazing gift to forgive. Be a father first before that door closes forever. If you love your daughter, you will find away to put her first. Let her know that she is loved and help her to understand that the world has infinite possibilities as long as you try. Your daughter does not want a super hero as father, she just wants a father. I hope the both of you have a Merry Christmas.

I thought they were also required to bench press four DCS A-10C manuals and two DCS Blackshark Self Help guide.:)
-
Happy Happy b-day. 107 wow! Maybe it time for a few upgrades and a bug fix/functional enhancement .:yay:

Happy holiday's back to you viper.:pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly:

:lol:Rudolph got laid off when Santa installed a FLIR, INS/GPS and all weather radar into the sleigh.:megalol:

You would think Santa would have asked ED to install a chaff and flare counter measure system by now. I guess that's what happens when you operate in red.:lol::lol:
-
:thumbup:Cheers right back to you mate.:)
-
It was just a little holiday cheer. I've been out sourced.:lol::lol:;););)

All I want for Christmas is a pair of fully loaded A-10C's, so I can take-out Santa's workshop. Real estate prices at the South Pole are dropping like the temperature. Santa needs to pack-up shop, layoff about a third of his labor force, out-source the remaining two thirds and move to the South Pole. Maybe keep on a few managment heads in Switzerland for a lower coporate tax rate. While were at it; lets have a little M&A (merger and acquisition) activity and buy out Amazon.com and move Santa's call center to India. Did you know that the cost of health care for an elf has sky rocketed and it only covers about a third of what it used too. Maybe we can get the elfs some universal health care, while raising there Capital Gains Tax and increasing the mandatory retirement age to 412. Also, let's see if we can get Santa some of that government bail-out money since he's been operating in the Red for the last 2 thousand years.

Training-Takoff and Handling Mission EvilBivol-1, Just finished testing the takeoff and handle mission. Everything went well up to the point where I completed the mission with the 360 degree turn to the left. After completing the turn, it told me nice job via both text and voice, but after a few seconds a text message appeared at the top of the screen saying: "Well Done, we will end our training flight here". I decided to land at the nearest airport when it started to warn me about my change in altitude and heading. Shouldn't it just let me take control of the jet and land if I want, without being yelled at for deviating from my assigned heading if were done? All in all the mission went well, nice work.

Unguided Bombs Training Mission I notice that the TGP and Laser were set to "On" even though they are not loaded on the aircraft. Might want to set right MFCD to CDU since there is no TGP and turn off the TGP and Laser since their not being used. Also, still getting "CCRP Invalid" in the HUD when I switch to CCRP mode to drop High Drag MK-82 at the range. EvilBivol-1 It's really shaping up nicely. Keep up the good work.
-
I reset my SPI to Steerpoint TMS AFT LONG before heading to the range. It always says CCRP Invalid in the HUD when I switch to CCRP mode. Also I haven't even designated a SPI just reset it when I see the error. Anyone else see this message? Also, should we be flying in low and level when we drop the MK-82 High Drag bombs when set to N/T fusing?

Anyone know why I always get a CCRP Invalid in the HUD when I switch to CCRP mode in this training mission?

Video board GTX 480 vs GTX 580
Gonzo01 replied to Gonzo01's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
As I said earlier there is realty no noticable frame rate increase from Beta 2 to Beta 3. I tried 1 EVGA 480 GTX, 2 EVGA 480 GTX in SLI and now 1 EVGA 580 GTX. All are great cards and will give you good performance, but they will all get bog down when you flying low over Batumi airfield and look at the city, or by using both the Mav Sensor and TGP at the same time. I have seen the same frame rates from all 3 setups running an Intel core i7 980X Extreme Edition Processor. (14 to 63 fps.). I think the real test will be after ED starts to performance tunes the next release. By the way, GTX 580 runs about 15% cooler. I guess I won't be able to heat my office this winter with my computer. -
Video board GTX 480 vs GTX 580
Gonzo01 replied to Gonzo01's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I ran the same setup as described above with the same mission, the only difference is that I am now using Beta 3. I have to say the frame rate might be 1 or 2 fps second better, but really about the same. I can't say that 1 or 2 fps increase is being caused by the card or just how I am sitting with track IR. The only good thing is that I am not seeing the GTX 580 SC maxed out like the GTX 480 SC was while measuring the GPU usage. Not sure how to mess with CPU settings in bios so everything is set to default. Hope this helps. Gonzo -
I just replaced my GTX 480 SC with a GTX 580 SC and I did not notice and changes in frame rate. I am running with all settings at high except Civ Traffic which is turned off. My resolution 1920x1200. MSAA 8x. Sitting in a power-down cockpit at Batumi looking straight ahead, I get about 35 fps. If I look to my right at the buildings and trees the frame rate drops to about 17 fps. After take-off I make a right departure turn and follow the coastline, if I look to the left at the sun and ocean I get about 60 fps, and if I look to the right down at Batumi city it drops to about 17 fps. While flying with both TGP/MAV on both MFCD's I get about 16 to 11 fps depending on where I am. The good news is that the GTX 580 runs about 15% cooler. Downloading Beta 3 update now will update you later if I notice any changes frame rate. Gonzo :)

I have the sound sliders all the way up and I still don't here the fuel pump when turned on. I am also using head phones so I should be able to hear something. Just a note, I did a clean install of just beta 2.

Engines wont cut off once fuel pump down-why ?!
Gonzo01 replied to slimakwielki's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Nate is right, they also supply a steady flow of fuel during high G maneuvers.
