So, i tried with no wind, and the bomb is hitting the target. The wind seems to be the problem. When is the bomb supposed to correct for the wind ? Seems that the LGB bombs are not able to correct for the wind component. Is there a wind limitations for those kind of bombs ?
-
Yes. By the way, I posted some tracks to check. I tried also with GBU-16 and -10, and those bombs have the same flight path.
-
Hi, I don't know if you can see that on tracks, but I observed the bomb maneuvering to the target. 15 seconds TTI, I set the laser ON and the bomb attempt to capture the laser point, but still not flying to the target. The bomb try to correct the impact point in the last few hundred feet, 2-3 seconds before impact, and obviously unable to hit the target. I hope this help.

Hi, To answer those question first : - The waypoint is not designated (not boxed), not necessary for LGW, - I am first release the weapon and then lase the target 15 seconds TTI (I have tried also 20, 25 and 30 seconds) - I have tried to spot the base and the middle of the vehicle Here's a track with the stable version, giving the same result : https://drive.google.com/open?id=16gqV7866KOeG3aBYSzlpxdFvyvXuKe5X This is not caused by the wind because the bomb always falling on the left and slightly after the target, independently of the attack direction.

[CAN NOT REPRODUCE] GBU-12 won't release after using LSS
vctpil replied to neversaykever's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks, I will try again. Just one thinks : I have entered the laser code for the station 1, use step to go to station 2 and enter the code and I did not come back to station 1, but stay on station 2. Then the bomb did not release. I have tried a second time by selecting the station 1 after the procedure, and the bomb released. So, I will try again and post a track, but maybe it is a start. EDIT : The selected station should not be the cause, I tried several time from the second station, and the bomb is dropping. The bomb does not hit the target however. Track attached in the correct discussion. -
Hi, Just a screenshot to show the result. I hope for a fix this December. Thanks to the team. Track : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1G95f9dz5100zfLhVSUQ1HYzig3dycB37 I was thinking about a reflexion of the laser illuminated by the target, so I attack them from the other side (and also because the FLIR screen is readible, he!) Track 2 : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1P_8CW5QVjEPKKIEtBaLX4wqC_E9eas9H Same result : the first bomb always fall next to the target, the second bomb hit the ground at the same position. Now, question : is 21000ft AGL too high for a laser to illuminate correctly ? I just tried at 15000ft AGL and have the same result. Thanks

[CAN NOT REPRODUCE] GBU-12 won't release after using LSS
vctpil replied to neversaykever's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi, Just happen to me in single player missions. When pushing the release button, the fall line flash once, but the bomb does not drop. That was fine on the same mission yesterday, same procedure to configure aircraft and weapons. -
Hi, Is someone know if there is a standard call-out given by the tanker in real life to signify to aircraft refueling that is going to start the turn in a racetrack? Thanks Vincent

Hi, Reducing the audio size from 80mo to 22mo without lose of quality solve the problem. No need of the 10 seconds delay anymore. Thanks all for your suggestions.
-
Hi, I have tried the 10 seconds delay, and it works, but it take few minutes for the audio to start due to its size probably. Maybe something prevent (unintentionnaly) large audio to start if the mission is demanding in term of PC ressource. I din't know why, probably a bug, ceating a 1vs1 mission in TTR requires a lot of ressource! So, I reduces the size of the audio file, from 88mo to 20mo without reducing the quality, and I will try as soon as I get back to home.
-
I have had some times to try to convert som audio and insert them in a mission. So,I have converted a .ogg of +/-80Mo to a .ogg of 22Mo to simulate the ATC. Ihave also the three messages recorded by myself. When the mission start on the ground, no problem. When the mission start in-flight : 1. No ATC can be heard 2. I flew to the center of the trigger that transmit the ATC, but still not sound 3. Sometimes, one of the 3 messages I have recorded cannot be heard. It is not the same message each time, that is why I think about a conflict somwhere 4. I have left the three messages I have recorded to be heard first, then I switch to the ATC frequency, but still no sound Weird, isn't it ?
-
Ok, very good, thanks for advices. I will have a look at the audio file to reduce the size, but it will take some times (working!). Concerning the line of sight, do you mean that the trigger translmitting the audio take account of the altitude (peak of hill) ? Thanks once again, i will keep you informed.

Hi, Sorry, the mod installed is the 476th objects. I have tried 317.5 but I still can't hear the radio transmission. The other frequency use 254.4 does not work either. I am still convinced that the problem comes from in-flight start. I have another mission starting on ground, and I will have a try.
-
Hi, Here's the link to the mission. Frequencies are in the briefing. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CyUl-tDrOfRCmL-1Z2Xrbt88acJ3h4bM How do set the frequency in cockpit parameters ? I didn't find the options. Thanks a lot.
-
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I am agree that using sound or transmit is quite easy, but it simply does not work. See my triggers in attached. If I push play on the mission editor, there is no sound at all. If I listen the sound with VLC or playing the sound in missions where I start on the ground with engine running, I can hear the sound. In my opinion, the problem is coming when I start the mission in the air. I have tried also via Advanced Waypoint action, but no sound at all. If you want to try the mission, I can give google drive link.

I also tried to transmit a message from a waypoint vie tha Advanced waypoint action, but I can't hear anything. Any ideas ? Thanks

[NO BUG] Certain TACAN frequencies interfering with Datalink
vctpil replied to Pizzicato's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi, The A/A TACAN does not work with the 104Y. Any ideas why ? According to the attached table, it should work. Thanks. Edit : sorry, my mistake. TCAN was activated only from the point 1, so I was looking to reach the TACAN too earlier. Channel 104Y is working well. -
Hi, I have recorded some real ATC audio to include as radio transmission in missions (with a frequency and a trigger). It works great. however, on some missions where the airplane start in the air, I cannot hear the radio transmission (I am within the range). I have also included some audio recorded by me (use of trigger sound to all). Is the radio transmission does not work because the aircraft start in the air or because there is another audio coming, or both ? Thanks, Vincent Edit : When I use the play button on the ME, I cannot hear the radio transmission. If I reload the file and press play, I can hear the transmission. During the mission, it does not work. Edit 2 : sometimes, even by reloading the file, I cannot hear the transmission! To hear it in the ME, I have to select another audio file, then select the correct one. But still no sound during the mission. Edit 3 : I have removed all audio recorded by myself. Radio transmission are working, sometimes need a few seconds to start. Look like there is a conflict between radio transmission and sound to all when play in the same time. Hope this help.

Very great job guys. I will buy it for sure, even if I am a great fan of the F/A-18.
-
Hi, I am flying with the F/A-18C. 1. Is it possible to preset UHF radio for an in-flight start ? I have found the marater 39 in devices.lua, but the frequency does not change after several tests. Question 2 : stupide idiot I am, I should use "Sound to all" instead or "Radio transmission". Problem solved. Thanks a lot, Vincent
-
Answer from collegue (former F-16 pilot) : this is useful in case 2vs1 intercept. The covering aircraft may take a position to intercept the adversary from behind. The principle of the stern conversion is exactly the same, the problem become the precise moment to turn toward the target. Cheers,

Hi, I think I am not the only one, but an option to adjust the HUD FOV would be interesting. Some adjustment with the trackIR are sometimes requires, and this option will be very useful. Thanks, Vincent
-
Ok, very good, thank you very much. At least, not a bug.

Hi, See the attached picture. When loading only one rocket pod on each wing, the right pod is inside the pylon and the left pod is outside the pylon. Is it normal ar a bug ? Thanks, PS : don't tell me this is not a normal loadout, it is for training only!
