  1. OpenBeta Sd QNH No wind 5 mk83 release Interval 150 CCIP mode
  2. Tested as follow : OpenBeta Sd QNH No wind 5 mk83 release Interval 150 AUTO mode
  3. Tested with mk83 in a 15° dive angle (I know, I should not use this kind of bomb for this dive angle due to fragment, but it is for test ony). 9000ft QNH / 6000ft AGL Sd QNH No wind 5 attacks and 5 bombs on target or very close to. Should be interesting to know if real F/A-18 pilots use the AUTO mode in level flight.
  4. I was using single release, 30° (18000ft AGL) and 45° (24000ft AGL) dive. Apprently, a level flight of even a 5° or 10° does not work. Is the AUTO mode supposed to work in level flight ?
  5. Mk82, mk83 and mk84 all in the target (or very close). I was excited like Riel in Jetstream.
  6. I forgotten the Jestream video (probably one of the best and the most interresting) and decided to test the AUTO mode during a dive attack, 45° and 30°. AND IT WORKS WITH THE MK82 !! Several tests later, I was a able to put the mk82 sometimes on the target, sometimes close enought to damage it. So, finally, CORRECT AS IS is apparently the correct label for this threat. But the question now is : is the AUTO mode supposed to work in level flight ?
  7. I saw the video several time, very interesting. But he says that the mk82 is falling long, and there are falling very short in my tests, quitely the same position than the mk84 in the video (points red, 12:16).
  8. Exactly the problem I have after a lot of tests. I would like ED team do some tests as well, if time permit for sure, have a look at my track, and tell me what I am doing wrong. Maybe this is bug that came back after an update?
  9. Hi Wizard, Don't worry, thanks for your help, sorry if I feel upset but saying correct as is and showing that's not correct is something I don't really understand. I would interested to have the opinion of Ed about my track file.
  10. I have made a comparaison between the mission editor coordinates and the coordinates displayed on the DDI, and there are exactly the same. I tried a repair already, no change. Bad technique ? Flying level and pushing a button when the cue is appearing is not so difficult. And I look some video about the AUTO bombing mode. I don't think my technique is poor. That's why I upload a track. The only mod I have is the 476th objects. Unless someone show me my error, the AUTO bomb mode is definitely still bugged in OB in my opinion.
  11. Unfortunately, I have the same issue with the openbeta, but the TTI is correct. Track attached. No wind sd QNH 9000ft QNH 6000ft AGL Waypoint elevation set to 3033ft I am using waypont designate. On the track, I can see that the diamond is on the target. I was about to forgot to select the AUTO mode. So, from this track, is someone can tell me what is wrong ? Thanks. Test AUTO mk83.trk
  12. Ok, I find something. I have made all tests with the stable version. I made a quick test with the openbeta version, and the TTI indicate 22 and the bombs seems to fall at the correct point. I cannot confirm that because I forgot to update the 476th objects (How stupid I am!). So, I am going to do some tests tomorrow with the openbeta. My initial question if the first post was : Is someone can confirm the AUTO bomb mode still inaccurate with the stable version ?
  13. Tested with Mk-83 (Several time, same results). 9000ft QNH, 6000ft AGL Target 3033ft QNH 29.77 Light wind Diamond confirmed to be on target Bombs fall far from the target and don't tell me is due to the wind, t° and so on. I am ok that the AUTO mode is not really accurate, but I can believe that is so inaccurate. Edit : I forgot, after bomb release, the TTI indicate 99 !
  14. Modeled correctly ? 3000ft AGL No wind Standard QNH First pass to confirm the diamond is right on the target Second pass drop in level flight Mk-82 definitely far from the target!
  15. The test was in level flight, QNH set, and with the correct target elevation (3033ft). I have tried with no wind, and have the same inaccuracy. The question was is it still inacurrate, without entering in debate about is it the correct weapon, etc. Apparently, yes, it is still bugged.
  16. Yes, I know that there is a lot of parameters that influence the accuracy, mainly a mk-82. I will made some more test, without wind this time, but the AUTO mode seem still quite inaccurate.
  17. Hi everybody, Is someone can confirm the AUTO bomb mode still inaccurate with the stable version ? After selecting correctly the target altitude and dropping at 10000ft, the mk-82 is still far before the target (See screenshot) I have made a research on the forum, but didn't find the related subject. Thanks, Vincent
  18. ok, I understand. So, this post should be moved to the bug section. Thanks for the explanations.
  19. If I understand "If you fly the carrot on the command steering marker that is a wind corrected direct to course to whatever you're flying to", this is not correct. Fly a quite long straight line toward a WP with crosswing, having the command steering aligned with the ^, and the aircraft will not fly direct to this WP. I think also that WW and the heading tape are 1:1. The NATOPS manual I-2-102 (174/902) does not specify a difference of scale and says "The VV represents the point toward which the aircraft is flying". So, the informations displayed on the HUD is not correct.
  20. Hi, I am just confused with the relation between the ground track pointer on the HSI and the FPV on the HUD. I am not flying the F/A-18C in reality, but the 737NG (equipped with also the FPV on the EADI). So, on the image1.png, the command steering is not aligned with the FPV, while image1a.png, the ground track pointer is aligned with the waypoint bearing pointer. In my opinion, the command steering should be aligned with the FPV, see image1b.png. Is it correct or do I missed something ? Thanks, Vincent
  21. Hi, I far as remember, before the F/A-18 was available in EA, dev (or someone else) was planning for a 2 1/2 year development. That's quite a good estimation in my opinion, so don't expect having all the system working in EA. Concerning the TGP, I suspect that bugs appears on working system due to its introduction. Personnaly, I don't expect the TGP before end of september. Think also that it's summer time, everybody need vacation, mainly when I read some guys on this forum. Flying the F/A-18 is very fun in my opinion, and if you want an aircraft with full systems available, buy the A-10C. My only concern is why dev does not finish some features already implemented for some time now. Have a nice hollyday time all!
  22. Yes, but the aircraft is rolling slowly left or right according to the wind direction.
  23. Hi, There was a bug concerning the wind influencing the roll of the aircraft 2 or 3 updates ago. The problem was supposed to be solved, but I have the feeling after some tests that the bug is still there, with less influence.
