  1. I actually run a cube like that with 4x 24" monitors + 2 touch screens its not perfect but it works great. Considering putting up a 5th as up as the front up covers half the view compared to the sides Cant do that in a10 with 1 6970 tho it kills the fps with all them cams

To get the Glass method working you would have to edit the originalPit.lom file using a hex editor to remove some geometry that does not have textures assigned to it.You would need to assign materials id's to the specific geometry so that i can be removed from the file together with the other texture assigned geo. Then rename your pit model file to -GLASS.lom so that it would be displayed over the blank pit you made and mirrors can be moved about. It takes quite a bit of work to get done. but if you want mirrors its the only way to go. Afraid i cant help you with that part sadly as i dont have the time or the will to learn how.

  4. Careful when uninstalling 12.1 pretty much killed my system, well made everything into a massive artifact. Was a real mess trying to get the graphics up and running properly after.
  5. If only they could make 1920x1920 (or something like that) monitors instead so we could get a proper 5x portrait instead of this horrific bezel nightmare. (you can also by some Tv's) And besides you can get this setup much cheaper with about 1 cm bezels if you just place the monitor behind on the sides and on top. (its still horrific tho) Other than that, pretty nice. but i got this kind of setup and believe me when i say flying on my 1 screen 42" 3d tv is way cooler for flightsims , i'd sell the other if i hadnt opened them all up for less bezels
  6. Thanks, think i'm screwed on this one either way tho since the only way to get it correct would be to remove the top monitor put the sides above me and zoom out. Not really an issue about alignment in single screen etc, works just fine in 1 - 3 screen.

Thanks for the Answer Dayglow, but i'm afraid i know all this from before, ofc in my post i come off as quite clueless so my fault. as you can see in the config file too i'm running a 5x monitors in portrait (in combined res), i can also run 6x2 but bezel nightmare and 3x1 is to narrow. Anyways tho anything above 3 screens dont affect performance all that much (mostly they have sky view) . But on closer inspection this issue seems related to the aspect being reversed. that is the horizontal res is less than the vertical. You can see this by putting on 3 screen on a 1920x1080 (or any monitor really) and you will get the same effect. Its a real shame as i'd love to use a 3 screen setup on my 42" 3d TV, its slightly distorted due to the way you need to angle your monitors to get a proper view but slightly zoomed in its only marginal and the fact that you loose the fisheye makes its highly usable (especially for formation flying) Is also only in the sky so perhaps its a shader or texture issue. I hope Eagle dynamics can provide a fix for this as it has these issue in all its current titles. In black shark and A10 you get a blue line instead of the constant artifacts however so its not as intrusive. Hope you can add a fix for this in FC3 or preferable a quick fix sooner. And to add iz3d and BS2 latest DCS does not work, hoping you can sort that, IZ3d development has grinded to a halt d3d9.dll error on start.

  9. Hello. Got my 6 monitor setup up and running today and i'm trying to get the 6 camera to work. The problem however is that if i zoom out a little the top left and right starts to tilt and no longer align with the rest. Any help here would be appreciated but i'm guessing it cant be fixed.   10. This is something i've been curious on for a while. Seeing as A-10 is quite demanding on hardware i would really like to see the ability to run your sim over 2 or more computers with a lan connection. Now the computers dont really know about each other but you would set one computer to run the main view the next computer for left and so on, then you would sync these trough Lan so that you could move trackir etc and have it send its commands to the rest of the computers. Now this would only be available trough a password protected system so not to allow other users to enter your cockpit and just available over lan. Would i be correct to assume that the military version has this ability to interconnect computers? If anything this is a top priority for me as i'd like to run a 6 camera setup and performance is starting to become an issue I apologize if this has been brought up before, i did not find any on search
  11. A much preferred i would say is to have it in the way its done in MS flight sims with the ability to drag it around (undock) and having it on a second graphic card without the loss of performance
  12. An interesting game indeed, real shame about the horrific UI for pc tho, wish they could do a better job on it. As for graphics being the same as console i dont mind, i prefer good gameplay over graphics any day. Will probably end up bying it for xbox (when it comes down in price) and have some good couch action over going trough it on pc, i just cant deal with ports.

On the note of Fsx if you turn water to 0 you can pretty much run every other slider on full, even on a 5x1 setup. i used a 6970 with a general fps of 60 and about 35 in payware airports etc.Fsx really dont use much gpu power tho, mostly pross (even 60fps with anaglyph 3d, something you should try, makes fsx more vibrant too. iz3d free driver) Had this setup for about a week, then smoke came out of one monitor and its now dead, i knew it was too good to be true.

  17. I wouldnt bet on it, its not a sim its a game and that has been the emphasis all along. The current clickable content is limited to startup and shutdown (atc on) . not to mention you only fly in one city (+asia map) It will be nothing like fsx or xplane

  19. Given this a few tests with some old printer motor and the effect is fantastic to say the least, will be interesting to see what the engines i ordered can do or if i need to get a bigger one. This one comes highly recommended to any rotorheads

Thought i'd share my idea with everyone as i've never really seen anyone do it (apart from force feedback tho) I'm planning on putting a couple of vibrating motors on my cyclic/collective, i've been trying it with a buttkicker and the results are quite good but rather weak when connected to everything else.   22. It does look amazing and i cant wait to get rocking on sling loads, i bet its going to eat my 6970 alive tho and even worse when putting 3d on, perhaps time for another one, just upgraded to 5x1 too (amazing)

Here's the exact code you need, can copy paste. if LockOn_Options.flight.easy_radar then purposes = {render_purpose.GENERAL,render_purpose.HUD_ONLY_VIEW,render_purpose.SCREENSPACE_OUTSIDE_COCKPIT} else purposes = {render_purpose.HUD_ONLY_VIEW} end Also as an example if it does not have this in the file as is the case with the pvi 800 you can add purposes = {render_purpose.HUD_ONLY_VIEW} Also you need to sign these up as viewports for use in your monitor config files, follow this thread.
