  1. From youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhVK1jnnYVY Till May 2nd
  2. Got it, great thanks more dimensions to play with
  3. Double clicking on the main axis button does nothing, just opens this screen same a single click. Double click on the individual axis results in this screen - getting there
  4. For the axis to buttopns screen I can only see four (sorry thought there was five) axis to buittons options. I have chosen the rZ (Flaps) to give button outpputs at open, closed and mid position for the planes that do not use analgue axis for flaps such as the FW-190. The rY (RH Thottle grip) gives an ouput when closed to stop engines. I wouldd really like to add more buttons to Axis but cannot see how
  5. I am limited to 5 axis choices for axis to buttons. I choose Flap 0-5% down 30-60% for Take Off and 95-100% for down, and throttle grip 1 and throttle grip 2 4-8% for idle. This is all the options that I have. Am I missing how to assign more axis to buttons?
  6. Just bought the F5 module with 50% discount. Other modules are also discounted, but no announcement
  7. Just bought the F5 module with 50% discount. Other modules are also discounted, worth having a look....
  8. Interesting, and pardon my curiosity but between the A-10CII, Mirage-2000, F/A-18 and F-14 planes in real life ? I went to USS Midway and saw the Tomcat, but was much more interested in the F9F and the F-8. I am hoping that Magnitude LLC eventually complete the F-8 as that would be another plane to attempt to master. I have tried the A-10 C and enjoyed the sound of the gun, the Mirage-2000 is super handling plane. My only concern is undertaking a “Masters” degree to learn the systems etc, I think the investment in time will be in 100+ hours
  9. My favourite is Bf-109 G variants - early models, but they are not in DCS. I have all the warbirds though and flt the Bf-109 the most then the same amount for the P-51 and FW-190 For non Warbirds it is without a doubt the F-86F, an all time fan of the aircraft. Visited the Planes of Fame museum in Chino, CA several times and it was always the one I spent most time admiring. The Bucket List includes a return to the Planes of Fame this time to see an airshow and see the real deal in flight and not just on the ground. This year it has been delayed to Oct 30th and 31st, though with COVID still lurking not sure whether this is the year to try https://planesoffame.org I definitely prefer the attempt to master the plane in flight rather give an input to a simulated computer on a computer
  10. I have experienced the same issue and my workaround is to unplug completely the Brunner from the power and the USB and then reinstate power and USB to allow Windows to recognise the devise. This typically occurs when stopping and starting DCS in the same Windows session and occasionally between DCS flights. Not a show stopper for me compared to the outstanding benefits. there are reports that there is a thermal cut out which causes the Brunner to switch off, this at well be the issue but it has never occurred inflight.
  11. That does solve the problem, assigning the command to a button and the radar display or VTB is dispalyed in the Cubesim Monitor Thanks
  12. I have the TM MFD's along with the Cubesim Displays. On other modules the digital screen are exported to the Cubesim monitors and the MFD buttons correlate to the TM MFD buttons but in the curremt configuration this does not natively occur. For the RAZBAM AV8B there is keyborad command for external MFD but I cannot find the same export command. Am I missing something about using external monitors for the M-2000C or is this not implemented in this module Thanks
  13. I have the MFG Crosswind with the hegykc damper and pedal modification - superb for fixed wing and I am sure will be good for rotary wing. I have a Realsimulator FSSB for digital joystick and the Virpil CM3 Throttle - hopefully these precise digital controls will allow precise rotary wing control - it is a question of time and learning and rewards for the accomplishments Hegykc link https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/257933-mfg-crosswind-combat-pedals-and-hydraulic-damper-mod/ After the rotary wing recommendations have pre ordered the Hind - not sure what to expect, but am hoping something between warbirds and 3rd generation jets.
  14. Thanks for all the feedback, I was not expecting to master a module in 50 hours - definitely not based on my latest experience in the Bf-109K-4 the module I have the most time in . Some great advice - to summarise no bad modules just lots of learning. I have tried the F/A-18 in Air to Air and it is gratification but complex systems. So far the modules that sound like the next level seem to be the F-86/MiG-15, F-5 (will wait for the next sale) and the MiG-21, evolutionary systems in each generation. I have never thought about helicopters - though who does not want to fly a Hind the original Beast of Afghanistan, just wonder how the controls are with a joystick and a throttle rather than a cyclic and collective
  15. Hi, I know this will be asked a lot but here goes…. I have just about mastered the Warbirds, take off, land and manoeuvre and then engage in combat without dying too often. The modules are like the planes relatively straightforward as there are not too many systems on board, but are rewarding due to energy management and propeller induced effects. Each module takes at least 10 hours to learn and more to master Looking for the next challenge to learn. My favourite plane is without doubt the F-86 an evolution from the warbirds but with more systems, however the scenarios are limited and I understand that the AI Mig 15 is almost impossible to defeat - does not sound rewarding DCS requires an investment in time to learn the module, assign commands etc and I was looking for a module to learn in say 20 - 50 hours before attempting to master. I have the AV-8 and was thinking of that but the reporting of bugs is off putting. Same with the F-16 Any recommendations/feedback/comments are welcome. Based on a similar recent thread I was thinking A-10CII, Mirage-2000, F/A-18 and possibly F-14 but not sure how to live with Jester Thanks
  16. I have the Realsimulator F18 CGRH mounted on the FSSB R3 Lighting Base. I also have the Realsimulator F16 CERH mounted on the Brunner CLS-E Force Feedback Base with the Arduino module that allows true Force Feedback in DCS and IL-2. The Realsimulator FSSB R3 base is used for Fly by Wire and it superb for precision. I have set the axis force to 4 lbs for both Pitch and Roll though I believe that it can be increased to 8 lbs or more but this is uncomfortable and not precise due to the micro adjustments. With the FSSB R3 base there are lots of options for selecting settings, see the link below for the manual in a ONEDRIVE directory. With the Realsimulator F18 CGRH the software allows for upto 8 channels for the grip switches. Each grip switch is 5 way, up/down, left/right and push including the micro joystick, which means if you program it then there are 40 selections available excluding the trigger. I am not sure whether you need the Thrustmaster Base to start with, I originally modified the Thrustmaster Base and used one of the cards in the FSSB R3, though do not know whether this is necessary with the current implementation The Realsimulator F18 CGRH grip is superb quality the feel of the plastic is by far and away the best feel, the rough finish enhances the feel. The switches are all good quality, though the detent for the trigger 2 is heavy, at first I was not using it as it was so stiff I thought it had gone all the way. Note that there is no paddle lever with the F18 CGRH Grip. The mounting is a long aluminum collar that attaches to any Thrustmaster connection, e.g. the Vipril bases. I use a 10 cm Extension on the MonsterTech desk mount. The 10 cm extension is a special extension by Sahaj due to the internal dimensions of the collar. It will not fit over the Virpil 10 cm extension but will fit over the 20 cm curved extension. The Realsimulator F16 CERH comes with an additional cable that mounts to the collar and ends in a standard USB so it can be plugged into any power source for remote VR use. I do not use the grip like this. When it is attached to the Virpil, Thrustmaster or Brunner base it draws power through the base and is recognised as its own devise as well as the selected base. i.e. it appears twice in my set up under different names. The grip is good and I prefer it over the F18 grip - again each switch is a 5 ways switch and the grip is mounted on the same aluminum collar. It can be programmed again with 8 channels - though this is only possible in the F16 grip and not in the base grip. I actually prefer the surface finish of the F18 grip even though the CE grip is hand finished and it does include the paddle lever. The F16 CE RH has roll and pitch axis as well as yaw capability but as i use it on a base the yaw is not present In the ONEDRIVE folder you will see the manuals for the Realsimulator hardware and will get an idea of the capabilities and configurable options for the base and the grips - I will see that they take some reading, I also include some pictures of the set up of the grips and the base etc The Brunner CLS-E Base is the preferred base for all warbirds and early jets that use hydraulics, due to the force feedback. The base is superbly accurate and precise as it relies on linear actuators (i assume) rather than mechanical cams so it is similar to the FSSB in that regard. It is a huge base at a commensurate cost, but for Warbirds and Hydraulic Jets it is unbeatable, for Fly By Wire it is just a precise base. In the ONEDRIVE there is a video of the Force Feedback in action for weapons in IL-2 and buffeting in Il-2 (same effect in DCS) https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjnjfVEMwOnqjeM9uEPDCbzV5tAJiA?e=ujeP53 In summary I would recommend Fly By Wire - Realsimulator FSSB and RealSimulator Grip Warbirds - Realsimulator FSSB and RealSimulator Grip or VKB Gunfighter Mk III with MCG Ultimate Pro (with a standard MonsterTech mount no extension is needed) Warbirds / Fly By Wire with understanding wife Brunner CLS-E with Realsimulator F16 RH or CE-RH Very understanding Wife - all of the above
  17. VKB Gunfighter Mk III with MCG Ultimate Pro is outstanding, the Gunfighter base has clutches which act as dampers which dampen down the movement on release. The CAM’s have symmetrical response in the axis and the center is well defined with no/minimal play. The MCG Ultimate Pro is possibly the best grip out there apart from RealSimulator gear. You can swap out the TDC joystick to another hat - included in the set. The paddle is actually an axis which means you can vary the hydraulic pressure on the soviet aircraft as well as the spitfire. To me there is no comparison.
  18. I have the Virpil Throttle and CP1 and can’t wait for CP2. Throttle mode 1 - Start / Stop mode 2 - Flight Controls (this will be CP2 when it arrives) mode 3 - combat/weapons mode 4 - Aux Pilot Control CP1 Autopilot, Engine Controls Cooling, lights, Trim I try to use the same function across different modules which can be quite a challenge.
  19. Nice set up, now that you have CP2 I can only recommend the Virpil Throttle in place of the Warthog, I went from the Warthog to the Virpil Throttle and it was so much better - precision with programmable functionality and I personally have never had any QC issues. An investment I know but it is worth it. The Virpil software takes a bit of learning but once you understand it, it is actually really good
  20. I use the Samsung LC49RG90SSUXEN at 5120 x 1440 with 2080 Ti and it is superb, I have tried VR but the lack of resolution and detail is such a backward step never persevered. The monitor is effectively 2 x 27” which is how I use it in desktop mode allowing 2 full screens available for multiple tasks
  21. Can you post a review and pictures....
  22. I did a reinstal of DCS and redownloaded the F80. I have tried to place the VSN_F80C folder in: C:\Users\XXXXXX\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\Aircraft - the F80C could be seen in mission editor as a selectable aircraft but when attempting to fly only the map is displayed with F80 Icon moving Next C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Open Beta\MODS\Aircraft - the F80C was not displayed in Mission Editor C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Open Beta\CoreMods\Aircraft- the F80C was not displayed in Mission Editor C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Open Beta\DemoMods\Aircraft- the F80C was not displayed in Mission Editor Clearly I am doing something wrong and would appreciate assistance in getting access to the shooting star. Thanks
  23. Definitely interested in the F35 HOTAS, but the fact that the grips can be exchanged is a major feature in itself I do not use a chair mount instead use the MonsterTech desk mount, so would like to see either a dedicated mounting plate for MonsterTech or if possible make it dimensions the same as the warthog throttle so could be mounted on that plate
  24. Oh dear - I feel my wallet opening
  25. The program has been updated - yet to try it out, but was great to see the app actually informed me that there was an update. Great works thanks. As a tip for Il-2, I set the pitch and roll axis in the control settings, but this was for the CLS-E joystick and was joystick_0. I then opened the devises file in the input directory and cut and paste the Arduino joystick to the 0 configuration, and the CLS-E to the setting of the Arduino which in my case was 7 0,%220b136e90-6d56-11eb-0000545345440180%22,Arduino%20Micro| 7,%22f9041c70-3d47-11ea-0000545345440180%22,CLSE%20Joystick%20HOTAS| For £20 I get great force feed back effects in the simulator and the game. Outstanding, I cannot recommend this enough and looking forward to contimued development
