Can you advise which modules support FFB? I have the Bruner CLS-E and do not really get any FFB on the modules I regularly use, the F-86 and the A-10C II. I am sure I tried the P-51 and did not get any FFB effects. When i look at the Profile in in CLS2sim, i do not see any tab for effects, whereas in Prepar3D i see multiple entries for effects. I do see the tab for trim effects. If anyone can help getting my CLS-E to work with DCS I would be grateful

I have the Gunfighter MkIII base and the F14 grip as well as the VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base with the WarBRD grip, both mounted on the MonsterTech Desk Mount with 200mm extension, and all I acn say is you will not be disappointed with either selection. My slight preference is the Gunfighter MKIII combination as it is so smooth with no discernible center off set and the clutch mechanism is good. The Virpil also has no discerbible offset but he quality of the plastic seems less than the VKB. That said I also have the Vipril CM2 throttle and Control Panel 1 and am delighted by the quality. I will say the Virpil is built like a tank. As I say you cannot go at all wrong with either. As a personal note I would not install any thrustmaster grip on the Virpil, they are simply too heavy when using a curved extension I do have the Realsimulator grips which are much lighter but I use them with the Realsimulator FSSB R3 lighting and the Bruuner CLS-E. The precision of the realsimulator FSSB R3 is amazing for Fly by Wire, whilst the Brunner CLS-E is very much for Warbirds - if only DCS modules allowed for effects like Prepar3D

Installed in the main Eagle Dynamics Directory after the latest updates from Eagle Dynamics so that the directories/files were installed into the existing core mods and mods directory and the F-80 is mpw available - many thanks
-
Downloaded the files. Are there any instructions as to how to install the files. I have placed the F86 folder in the directory C:\Users\XXXXXX\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\Aircraft, but when I ataet DCS I cannot find the F-80C. An iconic plane that I would like to fly. Any help is appreciated

I bought the Winwing Super Taurus and the Super Libra at the start of the year but never really used them, I will be honest that they occupy a lot of real estate and I prefer my current set up, as phusical detents are not something I really need. I have them both on MonsterTech desk mounts as well as the original Winwing mounts and the Super Libra has the extension but not the Z axis. The Super Taurus has a switch on the right hand throttle that snapped off, still working after repairing with super glue and I sourced a replacement from Winwing but not installed it - that I will provide too I am based in the UK and can ship to EU, but these are large pieces of equipment so shipping will not be cheap - i think it was several hundred $ from china. I can provide photographs and if I work out video on the iphone a video to demonstrate the equipment. I also have a Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle - again with a super glued swith, the red switch on the right hand throttle updated with the deltasim modification - circular cover but rectangular cover still available https://deltasimelectronics.com/ all of these seem to be in short supply so posting here first before ebay

I have the Virpil Control Panel 1 and recently received the Virpil CM2 Throttle. I usae these across DCS, Il-2 BOS and LM Prepar3D and am trying to program them to be consistent across sims. I downloaded a template for the CM2 Throttle to make a reference and to be consistent, but I have not had any success in finding a templaye for the Control Panel 1 - are there any out there? Thanks

Please excuse if this has already been posted I did a quick check but could not find a similar thread. I recieved my Virpil Thottle last week and been setting up and trialling things out and very impressed. Gernerally fly warbirds and 1st generation jets but do also have the Mirage 2000, Mig 21, F-14, F-16 amd F-18 though dont use them much - with The Mirage F-1 and the Mig-23 on the horizon that will change. By having a selector switch I can have full range (e.g. upto 98%) for planes without afterburner (and the Mig 19 as that has an afterburner switch?) and then mil throttle range for planes with afterburners Tried the virtual throttle detents - pretty straightfiorward to configure, apart from what % do you set full throttle action no afterburner, it differs from plane to plane. My crude experiemts in DCS are: Mirage 2000 87% Mig 21 92% F-14, F-16, F-18 all 80% If someone who has done more extensive testing has better numbers please advise Thanks

Virpil Mongoose CM2 Throttle Feedback and Reviews?
Lynchsl62 replied to Lynchsl62's topic in VIRPIL Controls
I recieved the throttle 3 days ago and have set it up in DCS, Prepar3D and Il-2 BOS. All I can say is I have no regrets. The throttle is really impressive. Thanks to all who made me take the leap of faith. I know that there is a CM3 - but as I fly piston and early generation jets, can't say that this is an issue for me. I am sure the CM3 will be as superb as the CM2 -
Not too sure I bought the Control Panel first to augment the Warthog HOTAS Throttle which had meagre switches. Was impressed with the control panel and feedback on the CM2 Throttle that I decided to purchase that. Early days of the set up but so far satisfied. The Throttle and Control Panel can be set up in to different sections for switches such as avionics and general setting on the control panel and weapons on the throttle - but yes there are a lot of functions on the 2 devices. Add to this mix a Realsimulator F18 Grip which has 8 modes for all the buttons and switches and there is more than I can remember. If you have not looked at Realsimulator gear I can only recommend it, the grip quality surpasses anything out there and added to a FSSB R3 base - flying modern FBW jets is a joy I fly a lot in LM Prepar3D and the Control Panel helps out a lot there

MonsterTech do a mounting plate for the CM2 Throttle, the CM2 Throttle has the same mounting configuration as the Control Panel and using the mounting kit from Virpil you can mount both on the MonsterTech desk stand, this is my latest configuration. https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-desk-mount-v2-v3-adapter-control-panel.html The CM2 was delivered yesterday shipping just before the CM3 was announced. Personally I don't fly afterburner jets much, prefer the simpler early generation jets, but with the F-8, F-1 and Mig 23 on the distant horizon that may change, but for the time being got more than enough to play with

Do not tell the better half she will have words for sure.... The Virpil CM2 base with 20 cm extension moves approx 4.5" from center in the X and Y direction Yes the issue with the longer desk mount is the clash with the chair as the standard height for a desk is approx 72 cm, so with a 38 cm desk mount your charir can only be 34cm or 14" from the floor - that is not comfortable for me
-
The trouble with the longer desk mount is that the height of the chair becomes an issue - or the chair is too far back. I have not tried the 38 cm extension as I have committed to the standard desk mount. I would say that a 10 cm extension on the standard monster tech is ideal, this is the configuration for the FSSB and the Realsimulator F18 grip - possibly the best combination for flying FBW jets, don't look at the cost though. use the VKB for piston engine and 1st gen jets and the Virpil for the 2nd/3rd gen jets. The silver extension is by Sahaj extension - custom made for the Realsimulator FSSB and F18 Grip
-
I have both the Virpil Mongoose CM2 with 20 extension and the VKB Gunfighter III with 20 cm extension on the standard MonsterTech Desk Mount. Realistically both put the grip too high for extended use, though between the two the VKB is the better of the two as the base sits lower due to the size of the base and the connector is more compact. The Virpil base is massive and the mounting means that the chair needs to be lowered so as to access the pedals. The Virpil allows for compatibility with TM and more importantly with RealSimulator

I ordered the following from Virpil Item Order Date Shipping Date Delivery Date CM2 Base Order 20/08 Shipped 21/09 Received 25/09 Control Panel 1 Order 27/09 Shipped 08/10 Received 14/10 Warbrd Grip Order 27/10 Shipped 20/11 Received 26/11 CM2 Throttle Order 21/10 Shipped 02/12 Received --/-- I am guessing combination of COVID supply disruption plus the disruption in Belarus after the election has slowed things down, but it looks like 4-5 weeks after placing the order the item is shipped. they are shipped from Lithuania rather than Belarus so the delay from receiving the invoice to shipping will be due to assembly, packaging and onward delivery to Vilnius. I know that during the height of the political demonstrations there was a significant delay from the invoice to the shipping for the CM2 base and I dis receive an email about the delay

Fantastic new......The Mirage F-1 is one of my most awaited planes, and along with the F-8 Crusader and the Mig 23 it will complete the set up I am looking for.
-
Ordered the throttle in August and it arrived yesterday. Set up with MonsterTech Mount, the plate is not listed on the MonsterTech Website but ids available if you email directly. So far very impressed. Plan to use the throttle for WW@ fighters and early gen Jets like F86 and Mig 15, and use the warthog for later gen jets and the WinWing Taurus for F18 etc. Ordered a Virpil Throttle to replace the warthog.

The product looks good and the offer is good as well, risk free, either way get an excellent product from a dedicated developer....pledged

I have the Brunner CLS-E FFB Joystick base for a year now and use it with Prepar3D especially for propeller and early jets, adds so much. I have imstalled the script as per the instructions for DCS, but when I run the software to connect it will not connect to DCS and acts a dumb base. My DCS installation is on the 2nd drive, the D: drive but I have copied the *.lua files over and still does not work - really want to use it for DCS propeller and 1st/2nd Generation Jets - anyone got it working and what am i doing wrong

Virpil Mongoose CM2 Throttle Feedback and Reviews?
Lynchsl62 replied to Lynchsl62's topic in VIRPIL Controls
Thanks for all the feedback, after considering the feedback I have decided to go ahead and replace the Warthog HOTAS with the Virpil. Placed an order, just got to wait -

Got the MonsterTech mount for pretty much everything, Winwing, Thrustmaster, Realsimulator, VKB and soon Virpil. The qulaity is outstsanding, it takes literally 5 minutest to set up and when mounted nothing is loose. Check out the size of rhe Winwing Super Taurus and the Brunner CLS-E and they are rock steady. My only issue with MonsterTech is the shipping costs - 30 Euros to the UK from Germany regardless of the item - an extra mouting plate for say 46 Euros incurs a shipping fee of 30 Euros - too much for a simple plate that can go in regular post Rant over, never been let down by MonsterTech
