  1. Managed to catch it mobile while I was busy moving (almost done, been a heck of a last month.) Wags, don't feel bad - for some reason, I always manage to hit the battery switch at the most inopportune moments as well :D Absolutely stunning. I can not wait.
  2. Another request I have as a pitbuilder, is that all toggles and rotary switches are exposed in the LUA as absolute values vs incremental. For example, Instead of simply being "increment/decrement rotary X" it would be exposed as "Rotary X Pos 1, Rotary X Pos 2, Rotary X Pos 3, etc." This obviously would not apply to potentiometer or encoder outputs. 3. For something this level of detail, I'll happily pay the 60 to 100 bucks it will cost.
  4. Haven't actually done this, but check the Calibration page: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Calibration
  5. Some great advice, Crash. I was just looking at the Snaptron site last night. I'll have to request a sample/design guide from them. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  6. That is correct. I misspoke. You place it on the pads, then cover it with adhesive-backed rubber, which afixes it to the PCB. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  7. Its basically a metal dome. It gets soldered onto 4 solder pads, with a center pad underneath it. When the switch gets pushed, it completes the circuit by shorting the center pads with the 4 others in it's footprint. I'm going to order a bunch.
  8. Been working on my PCB designs for the F/A-18C UFC, and has anyone played with the SMD dome switches? (Like these?) If so, what are your thoughts on them? I'm getting more into SMD, and curious why I was so afraid of them for so long. I'm digging the extra trace room on the opposite sides of boards.
  9. Id be a fan of having the option to spawn with wings folded or down (per mission editor) and having no collisions on flight deck be a server option for more casual servers.
  10. Burns, yes they are. They are used for enabling channel select and selecting channels for comm 1 & comm 2. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  11. BB, can you shed some light into what push/pull encoder you used for the channel select knobs on your ICP? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  12. See, I feel the other way. I prefer putting in the smallest of details, as it makes things easier to orient/understand during assembly and for generating shop drawings. I have multiple simplified configurations for different manufacturing operations.
  13. BB, I found your tumblr while I was doing some research on youtube. Great resource. Thanks for that!
  14. I use SolidWorks, but I use it professionally.
  15. The NATOPS illustrations should be taken with a grain of salt. They are close, but frequently missing little details for simplicity. Make sure to cross reference each item with photos so you don't miss any details. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks for the comments Deadman. I don't go over there much anymore myself. I've wanted to dabble in SMD LEDs...do you have any suggestions as to your preferred part numbers for green, red, amber and white? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  17. Already posted in the mini-updates thread, but yes. Quite pleased. :)
  18. So, just found this while doing some research. Going to try it out later this month when I get the shop up and fully running. Has anyone else tried this? Basically, etch a 1mm grid into a clear sheet, top with thin white, top with legend plate. Edgelight the grid sheet with LED strip.
  19. Wags, awesome update! Didn't even know mine conversions like that existed. Didn't realize you were in my backyard either!
  20. Hey Ian, it appears the discord invite expired! I'd love to come chat with y'all.
  21. Thanks BB! Your work is absolutely inspiring. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  22. Hey BB, would you be willing to share your part numbers for the key switches, rotary, pots, and monitor for the MFDs? I'm deep into my main panel on my F18 sim, and working on MFDs next. Really incredible work.
  23. Where can I buy the X40.189 dual steppers? It is basically two X27.169 stacked on top of each other with concentric needles. My googling has been weak.
  24. Looking fantastic Deadman! Great work so far.
  25. Thanks Deadman! The one I'll build will be about half the price of that one, and far less headache. (It's one cheap stepper and switch, and 85% parts commonality with the VVI and Airspeed gauge.) Guts are mostly 3D printed, and the gauge itself is based on the AAU-3A spec. The only spec I haven't been able to find yet is for the attitude indicator, and the drawing for the RWR display isn't available from my source. I haven't found all the specs yet for the 1.5" gauges either.
