Just checked the mission, this isn't affected by the bug I mentioned (that is for the AI using GBU-12). Ran a short test but couldn't reproduce any issues, Chief cycled through all the available targets as he should in sequence. If anyone else sees any issues on this mission please let me know and I'll take another look.

Hi, had a look through the mission triggers, was wondering if I'd set another condition that triggers the abort...but nope nothing in there that would do that. Is there any possibility you may have accidentally selected the abort option, or do you use anything like voice attack that would select an F10 option for you? Only other possibility would be DCS randomly turning a trigger on on it's own, which I wouldn't rule out but I've never seen happen.

I'll have a check, there's a new bug affecting the AI when using certain weapons so I'll see what's going on.

Thanks, glad you've enjoyed the campaign so far. There's a new bug affecting the AI when it drops a GBU-12, after dropping the weapon the AI does what you've seen and flies away and cannot be controlled further. This mission is designed to have the wingman support you in taking out targets so this is a real pain in the backside. I have isolated the bug and reported to ED so hopefully we'll see a fix soon, in the meantime I will update the mission to swap out the GBU-12 to 38s instead.

Thanks very much

Thanks v much, good news, think we've found the reason for the same bug thats been troubling me for a while on my Viper campaign, was seeing the same post drop 'fly away' behavior on a mission there. The common factor is the GBU-12, I've tested other weapons and it's this bomb that breaks things - I'll report to ED. For anyone else that runs into this error while we wait for a fix, the mission has fail safe triggers built in so just wait and the mission will progress no problem and your wingman will re-spawn in working order.

Thanks very much, great to hear you had a good time with it . I'm with you on it ending too soon though, just ran out of fresh ideas in the end so went for quality over quantity!

Mission 10 Due South Part 2
ChillNG replied to speed-of-heat's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
If the SA-10 can target you then you got too far from the protective jamming by the Growlers. Recommend staying between waypoint 6 and 7 when searching for targets, you should be safer there. -
HI everyone, just checked and on M3 elevation isn't given, never used to be an issue but the Harrier has had quite of few updates since this mission was built so possible the WP/TGP behavior has changed. Correct elevation is 3519, I'll update the mission.

Hi, the blind call means the JTAC can't see you, which is because you are too high and above the cloud layer. Get below the clouds and all should be ok. Only thing to bear in mind is that since the mission was designed moving clouds were introduced so if the clouds were actually still blocking his line of sight I don't know...might require a slight suspension of belief if not.

Hi thanks for the comments, great to hear you're enjoying! That's something I'd not considered to be honest but it's a good point. I'll have a look at it soon as I can. Should be no issue adding into the missions, just the modification of the briefings/KBs that will be a bit of work.

Mission 3 not progressing
ChillNG replied to Jayhawk1971's topic in A-10C Operation Persian Freedom Campaign
I'll take another look at it, I couldn't replicate and I couldn't see anything that would cause an issue...time shouldn't be a factor. But a fresh look might help. -
It's quite a way up the road from the blue smoke, so from the the smoke go 2 miles NE, first set of buildings on the east side of the road - there is a ruin, you'll see the IED in there. Further help in spoiler if you want it.

Nice one, enjoy!

You should be able to spot on your TPOD, make sure you are coming in from the briefed direction as the mountains make it more challenging to get the correct viewing angle. Higher is better as well to look over the peaks. Exact location in the spoiler if you want it.

Hi thanks v much, glad you're enjoying! It's a tricky target, what are you struggling with, locating the target?
-
Thank you, that's great to hear, and glad you like the briefings!

Thanks very much for the comments, glad you're enjoying!

Ok thanks for the update, sounds like an issue with the livery folder in the campaign directory so I'll dig a little deeper.

Thank you very much

Ok let me know how you get on, mods can be very bizarre and affect all sorts of seemingly unrelated things so you never know...
