Hi, thanks for the comments. I'm not sure why you're seeing the wrong skins, I've just checked my installed version of the campaign and I'm seeing them ok. Have you got any mods running? If so worth checking without.

That's great to hear! Thanks so much, I hope the rest of the campaign continues in the same way for you .

For info: Persian Freedom will require a minor update for the A-10C II version following the introduction of the ARC 210 radio. Until this is released the radio presets will not function so you will need to manually tune the radio. Due to the way the campaign was originally programmed you will always need to observe the following rules: - All Comms listed as VHF AM should be done through the ARC 210 radio. - All Comms listed as UHF should be done through the original UHF radio. Do not use the ARC 210, the mission will not detect UHF frequencies on this radio. - The VHF FM radio is unchanged.

8 mission second and third task
ChillNG replied to MichTerran's topic in A-10C Operation Persian Freedom Campaign
Second task (tanks) the approach is pretty much the same as with the first task, just a slightly different heading I think. The third task (troops in contact) you need to be a few miles south of the TIC, next to the road to the south you'll see a radio tower, if you're roughly over this tower and on the assigned heading you should get cleared hot. Note it's OK to attack the target if not cleared hot, you'll lose score and get told off but the mission will still work just fine. -
Yep finally inbound! Thanks hope you enjoy this one as much

Yes absolutely, would be quite happy for you to do so. Thanks

Yeah you would have dropped points for having Eboy complete the attack, IIRC the score is awarded for a kill while cleared hot by the JTAC. Usually if you're having trouble getting the cleared hot call it's down to not being correctly over the IP. -
Make sure you've set the radio correctly - the correct frequencies are in the knee boards, don't use the default DCS freqs for Incirlik that you'll see in the F10 map/in game briefing screen. Whenever you change the radio channel/enter a new freq it's good practice to press enter on the UFC - the Hornet's triggers won't always detect the radio change until this is done. Hope that helps.

TACAN / TCN counter freezes
ChillNG replied to Tozzifan's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
OK thanks, shouldn't be anything campaign specific that should affect either of these. -

F10 map is locked to hide all information in the campaign. Not sure on what's happening with your rad alt, maybe someone else reading this can offer any thoughts? With DL, are you pressing the DL button twice before pressing ON?, this changed a few months ago as the ACLS was introduced. -
If you're not part of my Discord, you should be...you can grab mission 1 of First In - Weasels Over Syria as an early demo right now! https://discord.gg/F6x7G4buJk

TACAN / TCN counter freezes
ChillNG replied to Tozzifan's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
No I never managed to pin it down unfortunately, I suspect it's a Syria map bug, I'm not aware of any major TACAN Hornet bugs and DCS core seems ok as AFAIK it works fine on other modules. Unfortunately this ones out of my hands, however your initial waypoint and usually your final WP are set to Incirilk so you can just use these for navigation. -
Mission 10 Due South Part 2
ChillNG replied to speed-of-heat's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
No need to spot the MANPADS, stay high and out of their range. First target is all based off PP coords for your JSOW so no spotting needed. Second target is a lot harder for spotting, you need to have good SA to work out where it is. Second task is a lot harder, deliberately so, this is why it is not mandatory to complete it. If you have to roll in and get within MANPAD range, do it fast and with lots of flares. -
mission manpad in target airport

Sa9 and 19 are the priorities. They are the biggest threats to the Tornados, AAA still poses a threat but IIRC most of the Tornados should still make it through.
