@BIGNEWY sounds like a few people are having issues with localisation settings in the eshop, not sure if this is normal or somethings not quite set right?
-
Let me know if it doesn't change and I'll flag it. Nothing to do with localisation settings is it?

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/f-16c_first_in_weasels_over_syria_campaign/ Should be here, it's in the e-shop but not the product section on the left of the menu bar.

Please check this quick video out if having problems accessing the F10 comms menu, three most common problems are not using the F10 menu option, setting the battery wrong at startup, having easy comms turned on or using the wrong key bind.
-
Are you selecting the F10 option on the comms menu, not the F5 option for ATC.
-
Check easy Comms is turned off in your game settings, that fixed it for another user.

Depends on how the campaign has been put together but for most campaigns this will not work, or if you're lucky mayber offer a limited/buggy experience. Two main issues, first is aircraft/weapons specific triggers that get broken, second is breaking the design/balance of the game-play.

Yeah, don't think I've said it publicly before, that's actually why it's based out of Incirlik with the Marines and not off the carrier as I'd already put a load of work into the ATC system so wanted to make use of it. Anyway it all worked out for the best, hopefully get back to the Hornet at some point!

Simple reason is that we wait for the module to be sufficiently developed enough before we start work on a campaign. Having features added as we develop is obviously a complication we have to deal with, but the Viper was very bare bones at launch as we all know. My Cerberus North campaign was actually supposed to be for the F-16, but I switched it to the Hornet when I realised just how much stuff was still missing. Once the module was in a better place, we (the campaign Devs) started work, which is why there's campaigns from Baltic Dragon, Reflected and myself all in development at the same time. These projects do however take a long time to complete. First In - Weasels Over Syria has taken a year of development, but the good news is a that release is very soon, fingers crossed it should drop on the 2.9 update, which has just been announced as the 19th. First mission is available as a demo from my discord, there's a link to it in the thread posted above by snakedoc.

Mission 8 - possible bug?
ChillNG replied to Pilot98's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
Hi, great to hear you're enjoying the campaign! Most likely you missed a trigger but I'll have a double check, were you put in the pattern by the tower? -
No confirmation yet on release window from ED , I'm hoping for next OB but can't promise.
-
Hi, thanks for picking the campaign up! You should be ok changing the TGP over, so long as it doesn't alter the weapons loadout. Some missions count the weapons as they release off the aircraft so altering the weapons loadout could mess some triggers up, but there are no triggers tied to the TGP itself. Same applies to fuel, but obviously you'll need to consider the fuel plan and if you'll have enough for the mission. Hope that helps!

Direction to land / takeoff not related to wind ?
ChillNG replied to lefuneste01's topic in AV-8B Kerman Campaign
Haven't a clue, but probably not. Luckily in DCS I get to control the wind so it's never an issue . -
Direction to land / takeoff not related to wind ?
ChillNG replied to lefuneste01's topic in AV-8B Kerman Campaign
It's based on the terrain and placement of the landing areas in relation to the rest of the base. Most of the runway is now ramp space so have to approach from certain directions to avoid coming in straight over parked aircraft at low level. -
No landing method specified, I know different people like to do it different so I don't dictate that. But if you do an overhead break you need to observe the noise abatement procedure and avoid overflying the town.
