  1. I just tried Sochi, it worked well. You might have done a mistake in CP/PD and waypoint. Nothing is required in ME. The ME landing waypoint just fills out CP/PD with proper values. It looks like your CP is the default 000.0 This would indeed redirect you to the north
  2. What did you set for CP and PD?
  3. I can’t read the whole article since it requires a subscription. But this is an article, not a documentation. I don’t think all modes are detailed. Documentation are classified. There is a DEC mode on the RDI that is very close to what has been added to DCS. This article mentions ground mapping, which isn’t an actual mode in the RDI. They likely refer to the same thing. Actual ground mapping modes are DEC and VISU. BFR mode also shows the ground returns.
  4. The ILS approach doesn't forgive any error in the CP/PD, from times to time I either forget a zero in the CP, or set the wrong DEST waypoint (PREP shows CP/PD but DEST is on another waypoint). It is super prone to mistakes
  5. Could you post a screenshot? Before and after you enable autopilot
  6. Which documentation did you see ?
  7. Thanks to Frederf for its detailed and accurate answer. But still I give you a E for not trying to read the D+ documentation Documentation page 35: Documentation page 228: Documentation page 229:
  8. I'm not sure that a country need for air defense and the enthusiast wish for a game expansion can be called the "same reason". That's somewhat a stretch. And yes, a 2000-5 module could not go beyond FC3 level modelling. Just remember that some developers went to jail for doing this with US aircraft. And all russian aircraft stay FC3 for this reason. Doing a high fidelity module would require a contract with both AdA and Dassault, which is also in the professional simulator market by licensing to Thales. So good luck... 2000-C systems are somewhat abandonware, that's why it's feasible (but even then some elements such as the radar are not disclosed and thus can't be realistic)
  9. S/Z is ANG/ALT. It's true that they could have the same name in the binds, as angle and altitude translate well to english.
  10. I think there is an option for this in the special options, but I'm not sure
  11. Master caution is ding dong, not boop boop
  12. You don’t actually need the waypoint coordinates, only CP and PD are required. LAT and LON don’t have any effect. Don’t forget QFE setting too.
  13. What is boop boop?
  14. Didn't meant to be nasty, apologies... Actually this was more a Matrix reference The radar is definitely taking the red pill.
  15. Welcome to the real world! When a friendly and a hostile are together in the beam at the same distance, there is no way with radar and IFF to tell which one is friendly. IFF is very precise in range and number of contacts, but imprecise in azimuth. Radar is basically the opposite.
  16. I bet this is by design... you are not supposed to do an air show and bomb strike in the same flight
  17. You have a radar lock. Magic is IR so it’s not locked. magic lock is a circle and a tone. If you have a double radar + IR lock it turns to a triangle. You should watch some tutorials !
  18. Yes the range indication is not accurate, but AFAIK it does not prevent a missile launch. No you never had any magic lock tone in that video . That’s why it didn’t launch. When you have a radar lock, you should press magic slave so that the magic searches towards the radar lock. Then you have a round flashing inside the square to show its in magic slave search mode, changing to a triangle when you have a lock. And front facing IR lock is more difficult
  19. You will get a much lower detection range if the adversary is facing you. Also, you didn't magic slave (unless the video compression washed it out)
  20. Seems the animation speed was increased in latest release, which kinda solves the issue (at the expense of style as animations are much faster)

    M-2000C WIP

    Ah no you're right, it's in 2.7
  22. According to another thread, the INS has a backup battery which lasts for a short time. You are probably wanting to relight before it's empty.
  23. Try either passing the INS in SEC mode or the aux ADI in forced mode (forward) but it’s likely that you can’t. If your ins gyro is down that message is there to force you looking at auxiliary horizon on the dash.
  24. It's not a bug per se, it's DCS way of refuelling.
  25. I own VPC panel #1, a throttle, a base+grip, and pedals. And I know how to use the VPC software... Yes, the flip switches are ON/OFF/ON. The ON triggered by the cover is associated to two logical buttons, one direct (13), one with inverted mode (14). And if I push the lever it triggers a third logical button (15) And these are used as binds as on the previous DCS screenshot. It then just works exactly as it should regarding the jettison control.
