That mod is not texture mod. There is no conflict. Again, use mod manager and it'll tell you when there is mod conflict.

I thought he was being sarcastic towards ED since he said "nobody needs such an improvement". It's pretty funny either way.

Doesn't matter. Most mods simply overwrite default files. As long as the mods overwrite different files, order doesn't matter. If two mods overwrite same default files, then you have conflict and you need to figure out the order. Mod managers should tell you if mods conflict.

I just make mods for myself and just sharing them. I don't do multiplayer so it doesn't bother me but I do feel the pain for those who do and disagree with ED's approach on this one. As it's not just my mods but bunch of other mods that got affected. Should've only blocked the dot files. Not the whole shaders folder.

Barthek's no problem but other cockpit mods that doesn't go into SavedGames, would probably conflict. This mod optimizes majority of DCS content. And if one or two isn't optimized, shouldn't hurt that much unless it's ridiculously large. If you want to install other high res mods, just install on top of this one. You can optimize the Roughmet and Normal map of the high res mod if you want to.

Core has Reduced included. I just updated IFLOLS mod files to include optimization. I've forgotten about that mod. I need a list of my mod to keep track of for myself. Yes to your procedure. I wasn't sure what Surik75's file does, I'm assuming it optimizes the ones I didn't bother to optimize. If that is the case, install it as separate mod and shouldn't conflict. That's basically what I do on every DCS update.

No file in this mod was altered. I don't have much time to test this weekend. I just flew for couple minutes and didn't see any issues. Maybe you can tell me if there are issues. -

Everything in Bazar/shaders are off limits now. You pretty much have to go vanilla if you want to play on public server. -

I agree it's not a bug but I do recognize the issue. I don't think ED would do anything about it but it is an issue nonetheless. Need to look at what height is average and dominant. Not "huge trees do exist somewhere." This is Kobuleti. Mostly 2-3 story high. Taller trees do exist but not many. This is Kobuleti in DCS. Mostly 7-8 story trees average and 2-3 story are few like the one by the house in front.

It'll work if the server's IC setting doesn't require Pure Texture. Enigma's server for example doesn't.

Grass used to be possible to be modified though files in Bazar/shaders/metashders/. That folder as we know has been encrypted.

Small Training Cursor (for VR)

I forgot I made this. Wasn't this for 2.5? I thought ED fixed it in 2.8 or 2.7? I haven't done a training mission for a while so I'm not sure. I injured my finger so I can't play DCS so I'll take a look after I get better. -
You need to enable use mouse on in DCS but it works like with it off if you don't move the mouse. I prefer it this way actually since I have the option to use the mouse during cold start. I have it bound to same key as ptt button but you can assign it to anything or use voice control. null For some reason I have to enable "Animate movement" for move to center to work in DCS. But not for moving it down 80 pixels. This is also good way to bring up the cursor without accidentally pushing any button while the cursor is hidden. That's another thing ED should change. Pressing the mouse button while the cursor is hidden shouldn't work as click but only to make the cursor visible.

I don't think giving away a module is entirely up to Razbam as I'm sure the revenue goes to both Razbam and ED. I just thought there would be temporary license for beta testers but I guess not. I'd purchase it if it was little less but $56 is price of a whole game and I'm not that interested in South Atlantic. I actually haven't played any real mission on Syria yet either. Plus I don't even have drive space for all the terrains. I will have to uninstall Syria to install SA.

SA map is not available for trial. I talked with Razbam on if there's way I can help but don't think it's possible. They did say it'll be available for trial "soon" so we'll see.

I just compensated the difference in time manually to be right on time. I set WP4 as TGT and went slightly slower than what the caret was telling me to go. And kiss off option comes on after you get the Charlie signal from the carrier. I don't know if it made a difference but I made a big circle around the carrier (10nm+) so I get the Charlie signal just before breaking. Which of these was deduction in points, I don't know.

Can we at least get a confirmation on whether this is mistake on the website and free trial for Normandy 2.0 is actually not available like South Atlantic? Or is this some issue on the DCS install on our end? Is anyone actually playing the 2.0 under trial license?- 10 replies

Also same issue. I was gonna try South Atlantic but that wasn't on the trial list. Then I saw Normandy 2.0 so decided give that a try. But what it downloaded was Normandy 1944. I confirmed that it's not 2.0 by flying over to Big Ben and saw the low res textures.- 10 replies
