Quick question on the lag pursuit roll. The description suggests that you maintain visual when performing the roll but as you start it in lag pursuit when you roll away you will lose visual for a few seconds. The image provided shows the maneuverer starting from lead pursuit inside the turn circle where I see how you would maintain visual. The other two versions from the NAVAIR 01-245FDB-1T show inside the tun circle and outside with a high angle off. Am I missing something or is it expected to lose sight for a couple of seconds?

Not sure if this is a bug or as intended - with TGT Find selected the pipper doesn't depress when the MILS are changed?

Thank you - I really appreciate the time and effort looking into this. There is clearly something not quite right as what I am seeing in the game is different to what you are seeing in the tracks. Can you elaborate on the radar performance switch, if its the option for lower spec computers then I don't have that selected. Track 1 My guess is the contact didn't appear on my screen until 10m which is why that's the first time I pressed the Jester button. Track 2 From memory it was closer but otherwise no comments. Track 3 No contact in game until the short range. I purposefully didn't use boresight as it was a Jester test. Track 4 No contact in game until the short range. I purposefully didn't use boresight as it was a Jester test. Track 5 No contact in game. I think I will try and video the tracks to see if there is a discrepancy between what I am seeing in the game and what the tracks are showing. I'm genuinely hopeful its just me being stupid.

Ok - here is 5 additional tracks, this time I didn't tell Jester to do anything, except on the 2 occasions he did detect a contact. In summary BVR 0% detection and 0% lock. WVR 40% detection and 40% lock. Bearing in mind I knew where the targets were and was below them, so just trying to understand if this is normal behaviour or if I am doing something wrong? bvr 1a.trk bvr 2a.trk bvr 3a.trk bvr 4a.trk bvr 5a.trk

I’ll have to replay the track and take a look however I am pretty sure in the actual flight there was no radar contact.

Thanks for the prompt response but I wouldn’t say it was “constantly”. Of the 5 tracks I don’t recall seeing a single contact on the radar. To clarify if you press the context button and Jester says “I can’t do that” do you need to wait a set time just in case he can before pressing the context button again?

I have not done much air to air in the Phantom so decided to give the 2v2 instant action on the Marianas a try. As each fight is only a few minutes long I flew the mission 9 times. From memory Jester spotted the targets on radar maybe 3 times at sub 10 miles and I believe a similar number of locks. I think it was on 2 occasions I managed to get a sparrow off pre-merge. In every attempt I was below the migs. Not sure if this expected behaviour or not.

I’m away for a week but will do when back. I follow the dash 1 checklist for start up and had both power and hydraulics. Prior to the patch it worked as required. regarding the seat I raised it to carry out AAR. When I tried to lower the seat I could see the switch moving but the seat didn’t. -
The AAR hatch wont open until the second engine is started. I raised the seat for AAR but it wouldn't come down again afterwards.

I find the differential braking works fine - maybe even too good.

Slightly related is the brightness of the sight, even when turned down to the lowest setting the glare combined with the glass makes it near impossible to see anything. -
Does anyone have access to a CG calculator for the F4E?
