  1. Correction: limited air to ground mode with F-15 cockpit, but still usable for dumb bombs & rockets (admittedly not exactly what we would like to see for an F-16) Again, to be precise. Yes it is. Just no HUD & MFD/Radar display yet
  2. The only thing that bothers me with your "trick", A.S, is that whole range thing. It seems to me that if the ranges are not equal or do not possess a simple relationship between them, the estimate quickly lose accuracy. Nice thing for quick estimates, though. If I have the time, I'd probably go with the Bullseye Card toll used by Navy T-45s (which aren't equipped with digital Bullseye display, just like us), which is described here, page 179 (and is roughly equivalent to what Aero showed)
  3. It is basically a software that extracts data from Lock-on, and show you a God's eye radar view of the battlefield, in order to play Air Traffic Control or AWACS controller. There is a lot more to it, of course.
  4. You can always do the conversion when in the editor. Granted, not a perfect solution
  5. If you (or anyone) manages to do something about that, it would be a huge step  Keep up the good work
  6. Yeah, a fuel flow gauge would be much more efficient. Not to say that charts aren't a good thing (real flight manuals offer this kind of charts), but fuel flow is easier to use in flight, and does make a lot easier to make charts (if they are accurate enough). Looking forward to that ;)
  7. Have you deleted the keyboard.lua ? If you don't any changes you make in default.lua will not be taken in account. ATM, that's the only reason I can think of
  8. You mean, compared to reality ? It wouldn't surprise me, I must say. It was that way in 1.12 (all datas coming from in-game testing with little to none prediction), maybe they are higher in FC2. But it is a long and harassing task to make those, I don't know if I'll be able to motivate myself into upating them
  9. Wow, are you counting on the fact that HUD and MFD integration will be possible at a later point, with some plug-in release by ED ? Because the cockpit would be somewhat depressing if it hasn't working MFDs and HUD (not meant to discourage anybody, of course !) Anyway, it's amazing, and I'm glad that 3D cockpits are coming into Flaming Cliffs, finally
  10. No problem, happy to help :)
  11. If it can help, here are two charts that I made. Please note, they are for the Su-33, FC1 (Lock on 1.12), and a clean loadout. I haven't had time to make it for FC2, and I suspect they will differ. It'll give you the best airspeed for max range or time (endurance) at different altitudes Fuel flow against Specific range
  12. Check here
  13. Yeah, I would strongly advise to install the mod (or others of the same kind) in a separate copy of Lock-on
  14. If a fighter pilot tells it, it's a goddamn lie  Sorry, I couldn't resist
  15. No problem, I am myself working on a highly integrity check-failing mod for private use with friends (at the moment, at least) ;)
  16. I think the issue is due to the fact that the game engine (3D rendering) and the user interface (editor, etc...) are separated now (due to incompatibility between engines, that should be fixed in a later DCS module IIRC), so you won't see any 3D in the editor. It's quite annoying, of course, but oh well, you kinda get used to it
  17. Unfortunately, for SEAD, you'll need to use the Su-25T cockpit (and add a phantasmagoria pod to your aircraft). Don't know about online servers
  18. Here's how it works : if you run out of activations (try not to waste them however, because it could seam suspicious), send an e-mail to this address, with required info. ED will then check your activation history to try and detect hacks and piracy (ex: if it has been activated all over the world), and will usually answer with a new serial number.
  19. Yes it is :) Easy to check with the F-15, which has both TAS and GS indicated on the Radar display
  20. For music, go to Sound\Editor\LOP\ and put whatever .ogg music files you want. It will play them randomly, if I'm not mistaken For Background images and such, try FUI\Common\
  21. By the way, I suppose there's nothing new in that, but where would you put the corner (or corner) velocity (or velocities) in FC2 ? Do you feel like they have changed from 1.12 ? And lastly, about corner velocity -IAS, CAS or Mach ? -Depending on altitude ? Has somebody made (or plan to make) an E-M chart for the birds in FC2 ? I think Yo-Yo intended to work on something like that (turn performances). The Su-27SK flight manual doesn't have this kind of info (at least not the volume I was able to grab)
  22. It definitely was a bug in 1.1, but it is indeed fixed now  By the way, if anyone wonders, the "atmosphere" modeled in FC2 is still the same as in 1.1 in terms of TAS/IAS/Mach relation. I remember the temperature didn't change anything in 1.12, not sure how it is now (but my bet would be it's still the same)
  23. Well, say, you're at 300 knots TAS (relative to the air around you). If you've got a 30 knots headwind, then your ground speed will actually be 300-30 = 270 knots. So you have TAS > GS. (TAS is the speed relative to the air - check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airspeed)
  24. Lagarto : I'm sorry, I can't really help you with that GlobalAviator: you would be well advised not to use that in public servers (you probably couldn't due to integrity check). However, for personnal/private use, here is what you want to do: - look at .\Scripts\Database\db_weapons.lua with a text editor (a more advanced editor than Notepad is adviced) - make a search for R-77 - copy its CLSID (written domething like "CLSID = {CS3JLD235H3NJKL3IH35GI35}" - open .\Scripts\Database\planes\Su-27.lua - look for pylons definition - on the pylon you want, you'll see various lines with CSLIDs. This is weapon attribution - add a line to the pylon, with the R-77 CLSID -done ;) Hope it helps
  25. In 1.12 you could make more than 500 km by fuel ton, with well-chosen airspeed and altitude (clean aircraft)
