  1. So does that insure Exclusive Fullscreen? This guide from NVIDIA suggest to run in Exclusive Fullscreen. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/guides/system-latency-optimization-guide/ This is from the DCS manual. I though having the box checked was ensuring Exclusive Full screen. Is there a way to put something in the autoexec.cfg file that automatically uses ALT+ENTER? hehe
  2. I stopped using Depth of Field after I saw this in the manual. Until I read that I had no idea what Bokeh was hehe.
  3. I've been in the process of analyzing and benchmarking my system so I would personally know what 'does' and 'does not' affect my FPS. I decided to do this because many of the DCS guides related to FPS performance contradict each other and even contradict what's in the manual. A quick look at my data and I've found that SSLR doesn't affect my FPS as much as SSAA does. I've been testing different settings individually and haven't gotten to SSLR yet but thought I'd run a quick test to see if I have the same performance hit as you do. Test = F-18 Mission - Supercarrier Deck Population Template (only changed SSLR setting) SSLR ON = FPS is 93 SSLR OFF = FPS is 103 SSLR drops my FPS by 10 That's nothing compared to what SSAA does. These are from a test I did this past weekend and are averages from 5 different plane\missions. NVIDIA Control Panel all settings on DEFAULT DCS Settings on HIGH (SSLR is ON) - each number\color is a separate test null x = from the DCS 2020 manual As you can see, SSAA 2x has the biggest hit on FPS; it's using 82% of my GPU to generate 46 FPS. While MSAA 4x uses 70% of my GPU to generate 67 FPS. Again, these are averages and SSLR is ON. My set-up: 27" curved 144Hz @ 2560 x 1440 | AMD 5800X | NVIDIA 3080 | 64GB Corsair RAM | 1TB M.2 SSD I know your hardware is different than mine but from my test SSLR doesn't hammer my FPS as hard as it does yours. But it could also be that extra 28" you have!
  4. @joemama619"the whole reason I was trying to trim to level flight was that my nose kept pitching up" I have that problem with all of the FC3 planes and it's a result of the rudder setting. Go into controls and clear the rudder setting and fly the plane again. I just had to do that on the A-10A because the nose kept pitching up. I deleted the rudder settings and that went away. I can't explain why either.
  5. I didn't link the forum post I pulled that from but it was from a one I created asking if the fuel weight/balance was causing my trim problems. Didn't think you'd want to read it so I didn't link it.
  6. And here's my post explaining how I figured out.
  7. Are you flying on one of these maps? Currently available maps: Caucasus, Nevada, Syria and Persian Gulf (auto-detect on mission start).
  8. I thought the same thing when I was having issues flying the F-15. I found out that the F-15 fly's extremely well without using trim and I haven't used trim in over a month. My landing 'alive' rate has increased exponentially because of it too! Test it. Try flying without using trim and you'll understand. It wasn't until I tried it that I understood. Oz
  9. A bit more data for the devs. I've seen this too but only on the Normandy map. It's happened during one of the quick start missions for the P-51, F-15, F-16 and F-18. AND it's happened on both of my computers. i7-2600k, GTX 1060, 32GB ram Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX 3080, 64GB ram (within the last week)
  10. (Windows OS only at the moment).
  11. Some words of wisdom. If its cheap, buy a lot, now. We are just one earthquake away from memory prices skyrocketing over-night.
  12. I used MSI Afterburner to overclock my 1060. Found a great youtube video that walked me through the whole process, one of which was fine-tuning how the fan should behave at certain temps. My DCS settings were a combination of Low and Mid range settings and the graphics card temps averaged around 87\C. It never got higher than 90C. How hot does yours get?
  13. Same settings as above but on my new computer. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X MB: ASUS TUF Gaming X570-PLUS RAM: 64GB DDR4 3200 Corsair VENGEANCE LPX GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3080 EAGLE OC 10GB HD: 2TB of SSD space Monitor: Samsung 27-Inch (2560 x 1440) 144Hz 4ms Curved Gaming -------- FPS 130 interestingly, it jumps up to 150 when the mirrors are disabled ( it doesn't change that much using my own settings )
  14. Well it did run, now Windows says there's a Trojan in the file. It changed the .exe file to end in .exe.manifest and now it won't run. I've tried unzipping it several times now and end up with the same results.
  15. Nice! Had it up and running in only a matter of minutes @BergisonGood Job and Thanks for sharing!
  16. Hello, @rexehuk Wanted to leave my feedback on this program. I just tried this and it worked but only for my Throttle, it doesn't recognize my stick. T16000 Flight Pack - Stick, Throttle and Rudder Pedals It outputs a file for the Throttle but has this message for the stick. Export Started No Template for: T.16000M Joystick Export Finished Quick fix: I copied and renamed one of the T16000 templates to; T.16000M Joystick and it output both files. Test run on my F-15C setup. Stick Top portion of Stick missing all key binds. Doesn't even show the POV-Hat switch as available. Bottom of stick displays everything OK Throttle Modifier button = No Bind POV_Hat switch = doesn't display my keybinds. Everything else is OK Thanks for your hard work! GREAT TOOL!
  17. I had an overclocked GTX 1060 3GB and it was always running at 100% with Full RAM usage. It took a while for me to find the quality and performance settings that I could live with but in the end, it was a pretty good setup. Here's a video showing my FPS on the Persian Gulf map. There are A LOT of factors that go into how the game looks and performs. Finding that sweet spot is a never ending odyssey - like searching for Moby Dick! I'm not certain but I think that your video card will have to run at or near 100% to get the kind of look and performance you want. And as for your next card, if you can find a 2060 for a decent price - grab it, but you'll be able to fly just as well with the 1660. And it all depends on how much you are willing to pay.
  18. @ElvisDaKang I feel your pain! This has happened to me several times and it's demoralizing when it happens. It seems to happen most often with the FC3 aircraft. Nothing worse than logging in to try a little take off and landing practice and finding out that the switch I had set up for TRIM is now reconfigured for quick-views. ON all of the FC3 planes, not just one of them! I haven't read about setting the controls while in the plane, I usually do it before I get in the plane. Does that actually help?
  19. I thought I would try this on my low spec computer. CPU: i7-2600K 3.4GHz ( overclocked to 4.4GHz ) MB: MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) RAM: 32GB DDR3-1600 Corsair GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (overclocked) HD: 2TB of SSD space Monitor: Samsung 27-Inch (2560 x 1440) 144Hz 4ms Curved Gaming -------- FPS 37-40
  20. Yes that will run DCS because it runs on my computer which I build in 2011. - CPU - i7-2600K 3.4GHz - installed 2011 - MB - MSI P67A-GD65 - installed 2011 - RAM - 32GB DDR3-1600 Corsair RAM - upgraded 2020 - GPU - GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (overclocked) - installed 2018 - DCS installed on SSD MSI Afterburner Benchmark results using these benchmark mission files: Gryz's DCS Benchmark Files (digitalcombatsimulator.com) 2021 Jan 10, 10:31:39 DCS.exe benchmark completed, 11392 frames rendered in 218.688 s benchmark v1 complex mission Average framerate : 52.0 FPS Minimum framerate : 32.6 FPS Maximum framerate : 75.5 FPS 1% low framerate : 28.5 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 3.6 FPS 2021 Jan 10, 10:35:14 DCS.exe benchmark completed, 9634 frames rendered in 142.657 s benchmark v2 empty mission Average framerate : 67.5 FPS Minimum framerate : 31.5 FPS Maximum framerate : 93.9 FPS 1% low framerate : 47.4 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 1.9 FPS Your set-up should get better results than these.
  21. I haven't used it but I read that Win10 has one. Windows 10 is finally getting a built-in FPS counter (windowslatest.com) If you have an NIVIDIA GPU and NIVIDIA GeForce Experience is installed you can use its built in FPS counter.
  22. I did not buy the aircraft separately, I bought FC3 and all of the aircraft in FC3 are available for me to fly. I just thought it was strange that it shows I own all but one of the FC3 aircraft. Thanks for your answers!
  23. @737Driver Here's a list of things that helped me figure out why my plane had problems with autopilot. I'll list them here just in case one might be of help. Have you changed any of your controls? If not then Attitude HOLD should be A and Altitude HOLD should be H on your keyboard. Autopilot min/max Plane must be within these limits. *Attitude HOLD PITCH +/- 45 degrees ROLL +/- 60 degrees G between 0g and 4g *Altitude HOLD Attitude HOLD engaged first. CLIMB\DESCEND rate below 2000\ft min *credit = @N22YF F-15C Training Missions! - Page 2 - F-15C for DCS World - ED Forums (eagle.ru) Mission 4. Navigation, autopilot, and fuel management First thing you should do is make sure your keyboard bindings are set up correctly and that they are not conflicting with something else. Open the CONTROLS menu and select the F15. Then hit H on your keyboard and see if the Autopilot - Altitude Hold action is highlighted and then check A the same way. You'll see a RED marker if it's in conflict with another control. While you are in here check your Pitch, Yaw and Rudder settings. (I had problems with my Rudder settings that prevented me from using Autopilot, so my advice is to double check this). If everything is set up and working as it should, then jump into a Free Flight Instant Action mission. First thing to check when the mission starts is where your throttle is set - make sure it's not in the OFF position. Get the plane up around 350-400\knots and manualy get it to fly level. Then hit A on your keyboard. Check to see if the Attitude HOLD light is on in the panel on the lower right. If it is on then hit H and see if the Altitude HOLD light comes on. IF both of those are on, then your autopilot is working. Small stick adjustments can be made without disengaging the autopilot but large stick movements will disengage the autopilot. Double check all of this and try a Free Flight mission and let me know if the Autopilot lights ever come on. Good Luck! Oz
  24. As you can see from the picture below I own FC3. The module purchase page does show that I have all of the FC3 aircraft except the SU-27. Anybody know why? Thanks, Oz
