Been there, done that. Must have missed the info on Visability nodes in the Model viewer. I did see the argument numbers.
-
I am still looking for a way to add key commands for the collective to the AH-6J.
-
Finally, after weeks of Googling, I came across the answer to making the blades disappear / switch to a blurry image. This is from the Blender edm plugin Readme. A VisibilityNode is the way to let an object appear oder disappear with an argument. This is the only thing which has to be animated on an object directly. Select the Object which should get a VisibilityNode in Object Mode. Open dopesheet editor and switch to Action Editor. Create a new Action. Setup Export to EDM and argument. In Object Properties at Visibility there is a property named „Show in Renders“. Move mouse over it, change the value as you need and press „I“ to insert a keyframe. Change frame and the value and repeat. To export the VisibilityNode the action has to kept in the animaton data of the object. The animation data of the object is independent of the animation data of the armature.

Why does the black engine not look black on right side? Tried different ways of uv mapping{smart uv project, project from view, etc) from but always the same.

My son flies using an xbox controller. It does not have an axis slider. The AH-6J mod only has the option to control collective from joystick, but not keyboard. How can I add this function?
-
None that I could find. Have a look at the Ah-6J mod efm. I learned more from that than the FM template.

So the problem turned out to be that I was compiling the dll in debug mode instead of release mode. Makes all the difference.

Damianntrix Thank you for posting this. Unfortunately I am using Blender. Any chance you or anyone could export that as an fbx file?

Rato65, Nice job on the Jayhawk. I also have to say thank you to Nibbylot. People sharing what they have learned only helps to get others to try their hand at improving this game. His efm gave me the motivation and now I am doing something similar with the Super Cobra. Long way to go before it is even close to your model. I can't tell from your pics, but I assume the blades are actually turning. It took me weeks of googling and experiments before I got them to rotate. Still have not found out how to get them to look blurry like the default helicopters.

Anyone know how to replace an animated propeller with a blurred image file half way through the animation using Blender? Over 100 views and no one knows? Here is the answer for anyone else searching for this. A VisibilityNode is the way to let an object appear or disappear with an argument. OK, I made a little progress. Installed VS on my Win10 gaming machine. Now the dll works on that computer. It does not work on two other win 10 machines that do not have VS instaled on them.
-
Has anyone tried editing the AH-6 FM and created a new ah6.dll? I have done this on a win 7 machine and it works. If I use that same dll on win 10, it does not work. I used Visual Studio 2019 to create the dll.

Thank you.

How to respawn a unit/group if they have been despawn?
HungryCoyote replied to josh-109's topic in Mission Editor
mist.respawnGroup('Sa-10', true) -
Hello, I can spawn and despawn a Sam unit using the F10 radio menu. Dcs only allows this to be done once. I would like to be able to use Moose so that this can be done repeatedly on a 24-hour server. I have no idea what code to use for this. Any help greatly appreciated.

How do I prevent this. Not in any mission I have downloaded but in all mine.

Or turn up the Density in the Weather section of mission editor. Made a big difference for me. -

Newer version with more aircraft on the George Washington and Tarawa. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4395729#post4395729 -
Just a simple mission to practice launch and recovery with some ai coming and going. You can start on the elevator by switching slots. Otherwise planes will be backed up waiting for you to get out of their way to the cat. Busy_Carrier.miz

No problem. For some reason, when they come back to land, they get a lot of wave offs, even though they are not loaded with weapons and the deck is empty. -

Start mission on elevator Here you go. This mission has cold and hot start options. When you first select a plane, it will position you blocking other plane's access to catapult. By switching positions, you will then be back on deck but on the elevator and out of the way. start_on_elevator 02.miz -
+1 Thank very much. Your F-18 profile is great. I really can't afford Vaicom Pro right not but this seems to do just about everything I need. By studying your commands, I was even able to create a few of my own like a Tacan call that puts in the freq without me having to say the numbers each time since I use the same mission all the time. One question, is there any way to have a command read the comms menu(\) so that it always selects the correct F-key for the Supercarrier? Every time I fly, it is at a different place in the atc menu, so I almost always get the dreaded Go to Alternate. INBOUND Press \ key and hold for 0.01 seconds and release Press F5 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release Press F9 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release (this line needs help) Press F1 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release Press F12 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
