That really put me on the edge of my seat! That's a great way to start off a new thread.

Nosewheel goes haywire in high speed runway landings
Krebs20 replied to TeeJay82's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I cannot view the track right now. But, most aircraft use a shimmy dampener on the nose wheel so it doesn't shake like hell. When it goes bad, the wheel will shake when it is under a load at high speed. The more weight you put on the wheel, the more shaking it will do. This can be a very violent event in a small aircraft. Good practice would be to ease on to the nose wheel at a slow speed. I try to ride the main wheels only in the shark. It will slow down faster on landing with backpressure on the cycling to hold the nose off while holding the brakes. -
The catch is with tacviews, I can only see what is wrong with the public build. It's useful to see a picture of whats going on. The track I can replay in a test build to isolate the issue. Your tracks will play differently on a test build than on your release. In this case. We can see if the problem was corrected before we report it. Or if the issue has some other change coming that will affect it. I don't see anything wrong with your request. Your not whining or making it a problem for anyone. Viper is simply requesting a track over a tacview. ED testers are not PR people. We just test things. Over and over and over. I'm no missile expert. I spend my time with the uh1. But I agree the ER behavior is strange. I hope we can get some improvement.

Rage, I will watch the new tracks. But I am busy with family and holiday this weekend. Your going to have to wait till Monday for me to do so.

I am watching the tracks now. I only see that ECM + Chaff is very effective. Any launch around 10NM or farther seems to track the Chaff off the rails. The reason I mentioned ECM is because it will increase the effectiveness of chaff. I should of worded my sample test to you better. I want to see what a test of chaff only (no ECM) would do for the ER seeker. Would a 10NM shot track the chaff at launch without ECM running? If it tracks the Chaff with no difference. Then I would say we can report something. If you launch on a target at the same range with no ECM and it tracks correctly. Then we can look at ECM and see how effective it really is. I can say that the devs know that the seeker logic is "Old Code." No idea when they plan to update it. That's there information. I hope this helps Rage. Everyone knows there is room for improvement for all missiles.

Please Rage, look at this from my point of view. I have nothing that can be reported yet. I need to see data that can support the claim. And the minimum circumstances that will repeat the results. As GGTharos said, no seeker logic has been changed. There will be room for improvement. We just have to find a result that will allow a proper change request to be made. I am unable to watch tacviews until I get home.

Hello Rage, I guess the 1st thing you should try is a test fire on an aircraft with any chaff on board at set ranges. Test 1, get an average hit-miss at 30km 25km 20km 15km 10km. Without chaff. Try 10 missiles at each range. Test 2, load 5 chaff on each aircraft, test each range with the same launches. Test 3, load max chaff, retest again. You have to established a baseline before you can test counter measures. Also, repeat all test with ECM on. Disclaimer, all missiles are still in beta. When the next patch comes out. All of your work could no longer be valid.

Thrustmaster: F/A-18c Grip for Warthog?
Krebs20 replied to Ebs's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I would be willing to pay for a replacement stick for the F18 and F15. Not knowing how much difference there is between them. I would be willing to settle for a "Stick of fiction" to accomplish both aircraft. -
The .miz file is really only a text file. The mission editor is only a GUI to generate it. You could build a GUI on a tablet to make a miz file. This is a project that the community can build if it chooses to. It would be a lot of work.

Anyone seen this Lockon SU-27SM cockpit (WIP) footage?
Krebs20 replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Looks nice! Who's making that? -
Information for making a map not on edge. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=41814

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1674855&postcount=6 No delays because of a 27 cockpit. Please read through the official updates thread. It's is a surprisingly complete list of projects. No big secrets. It is what it is.

What do helicopter pilots make then? Babies?
-
Looks like the legal issues are getting sorted. Cant wait to watch everyone fall out of the sky!
-
I want to drop a CBU soo bad right now. Keep up the good work.
-
I recommend the KA-50 unless you have something against helicopters.
-
 Thats why it falls off! Just kidding.

Sova, you went off topic and claimed many evil bad things. I called you out. Now you refuse to answer for your rant because its off topic. You are a hypocrite troll now.
-
Sova, I am calling you out as a troll. Can you respond to my last post?
-
Are you just trolling now? What are you talking about? DCS world (FC3) is extremely flexible. You can change just about anything. I've seen ka50s flying with hellfires, Su with r77s, every aircraft in the game flyable. What can't I do in FC3? Name one thing I cannot do? ANYONE can host FC3. If you lack the knowlege to do so, that's your problem. If your angry about unstable connections in 1.2.2, so is the testing team. It's being worked on to make it better than your glory days. What dictatorship? Your so far into left field I starting to think your trying to be a troll.
