Hey guys I heard some guys saying that the fire and explosion mod looked awesome..... Any idea what they're talking about and where we can find it.
-
I'm not naming names here, but there were a few in the 104th server doing it- they are both in the same squadron- and another one was doing it in another server after the 104th crashed last night, and doing it repeatedly. Also- I was shot down- they fired first then i fired- after I was in the aircraft selection menu- I seen them pop into the spec area. seconds after me being killed. I don't think this is coincidental, they were close to their airfield having not been airborne for long. It is the same route these players take every round, I'm not looking for an excuse for me being a noob- I know this is happening, and there needs to be a way to stop it............ I have tacview going- I'll look for it. Edit: I added images of the engagment. It shows exactly what happen. In tacview it shows that I hit him, but he did exit the the battlefield and entered the spec area before I destroyed him, because I didnt get credit for the kill. And he didnt get a lose A/C.

I am not by far an experienced pilot here in FC2- and BS playing in MP. I might not know how to evade a missiles or even fire a missile at the right time to get a kill, But I get lucky sometimes and one of my 120s will find its bandit. Most of the time I get shot down and the bandit evades my attack, more so than not. But just recently I noticed something. Heres how it goes- The bandit fires first, then I fire, then I get hit, then I notice that the pilot I fired on "All of a sudden ends up in the spectate area" Or leaves the server and comes back. I just noticed this and more so when the 104th server just stopped and I went to another- and a player would do this. I'm noticing it more and more- and I'm sure its happening alot more then I think. I think its pretty lame.

Awesome man. Good read. -
Will there be a Su-25A template?
DetroitDieseL replied to Mechanist's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I'd like a template for all the aircraft................. -
Yeah I believe I have it working now. I appreciate it alot buddy, you simplified the instructions- I just realized where they were being saved- is there a way to change the dir. to where they're being saved??
-
I think I got it working- but like Hawk said- how do we get the normal names instead of just the aircraft type. Also how can we change the folder they are saved to?
-
Thanks alot for your help buddy. I just copied your defualts to my export folder and changed it to true in the config file and added the line at the bottom of the export file. Still didn't work. Do I need to do anything in tacview?? Here is my export folder attached. Export.rar
-
I did it and it still doesn't work, I used your file also. I edited the file to true for exporting. Still nothing. I need the defualt files config and export if anybocy would upload them. I may have screwed somthing up- I think if I started over it might work, I didnt back anything up.
-
Can someone just upload these 3 files- I can't find them anywhere- all broken links-
-
Does FC2 support tacview. If so, then I must have it set up wrong- it says that is recording, but when i run it i get nothing. Any ideas guys??

When Tanks (M1-Series) fire a round wheather its a Heat or sabot round it glows til it splashes. So I know its possible for that beast of a cannon to do the same.
-
Rgr that. Try going to an older driver. Edit: I just looked at your dxdiag, and you do have 4Gigs in- take a stick out buddy. I also see your overclocking your cpu- are you sure you have sufficent cooling for that??
-
We fired on alot of older M-60s after the Marines recieved the old M1s and what they didn't sink in the ocean for reef- we used as hard targets. I swear I remember the A-10s blazing on them- and I'm not saying tracers, but, their rounds were glowing. I specifically remember because all the hair on my entire body stood straight up like a hard-on and I got the chills -- saying to the pilot, " Now thats some Shock and Awe. "
-
First thing is I don't even think Win7 x86 supports 4 Gigs- only 3 afaik....Not saying thats your problem, but it could very well be.
-
Are we allowed to use custom skins?- If yes, How??
-
@ Havoc-I don't know about all that- I just know what I saw. I'm sure all the dust and debri and sparks and shrapnel is not there to save frame rates, and to keep your pc from crashing.
-
Sorry but I honestly don't understand where you guys are getting your info. I was in the 2nd AD on Hood- I've seen A-10s at work- from the porkchop in my ear to their CVC. I seen a blaze of tracers coming out of that cannon, and I'm not mistaking. Also depending on the velocity of a round, it doesn't need to be a tracer to glow like that. And I also seen with my own eyes rounds from a A-10 cannon bouncing off of hard targets-glowing. I see some members posts here saying they seen the exact opposite. Not sure maybe different rounds- At anyrate, I know what I seen. Besides no debri flying up as rounds hit the deck, I think ED did an awesome job replicating the A-10.

Just wondering- since this is the Official 3D model Thread- So I can use Maya to make models for FC2?? Or I can, I would just need to import them into max to do the animations and mapping?? I will not be very happy if I wouldn't be able to do everything in maya, I'm kind of P'ed about all this Maya discrimination when it comes to modding games.

Hey Little-dog, what do I need to do to the KC-135 to make it able for use in FC2- Landing gear- flaps ( all of them )- The boom is rigged already for animation. But is there anything else I need to do to it??

I wonder thou if they could implement it like 1946 when you eject in your territory your good to go, but captured if your across the line. It still counts as a eject and not a death, so I guess thats better then being dead. Going back to base has no effect on how it counts, unless your spotted by the enemy and get smoked by AAA or sam. I RTB'ed last night and refueled and rearmed (instant action) and I'm on the runway powering up my engines- a SU-30 comes along and strafes me with guns and kills me........I was like what, "Vulchers". -
Does it matter that the water is rendered under the terrian, for players using min recommended video cards.
-
If you need any help with models let me know- I have a few already, and could make some changes if need be. I have a KC-135 stratotanker. http://www.motorcity3d.com

I didn't touch him. I made a pitstop after ejecting- came back and he was walking in first person. I hit F2 and panned back and he was heading towards Base.
