wow, thanks for clarifying and going through the troubles of testing it as well MBot. Those were some very descriptive pictures there..showed exactly what we are talking about. I never knew this problem was to this scale. Im amazed to find out that All those missles are just flying strait through buildings. That is one heckuva major flaw that Ive overlooked until now. Well anywayse, its great to hear that it will at least be fixed in 1.2 for sure, BUT has it been rectified in 1.1? i wouldnt mind waiting longer for them to fix a major bug like this...especialy with the new feature just shown previously on how it is now possible to place objects like igla's on the roof's of buildings themselves!

From the UBI. forums: AMAZING job StrikeMax!! It Really has been one long long while since you given us an update, so thanks for doing so. I can see that all that time you Have been working, and it definitely is noticable. The model is looking great and spot on! :) So i really shouldnt say this, but I hope you get sick/hurt more often! :lol: Btw, Joao, that apache model is REALLY looking phenomenal! That has to be the most detailed heli i've EVER seen! Very very detailed, you have covered everything I could imagine on the apache that should be there. Even the virtual cockpit looks great..hope to see a sudden update just like Strikemax'S :P -
Sooo, anyone got a direct link? Archers mods are fantastic, and this one is great! It really makes a difference. I never wanted to turn on the nav lights before, as they awlays looked like crap. But ever since I had v1 of these, I couldnt turn them off...I just loved looking at them. Into dogfights, into battles, into whatever came my way, I went with all my lights on! :lol: Also, DONT forget his SOUND mod! Seriously, This has to be the SINGLE, SINGLE mod that has changed the lomac experience the MOST for me! I have NEVER EVER heard such amazingly Realistic sounds! His sounds are extracted purely and directly from real life aircraft...and I really cant tell the difference. The breathing is very realistic and definitely not annoying like i thought it would be before. Cockpit systems are amazingly authentic, water splash sounds like that of me dropping my toothbrush into the water filled sink...perfectly realistic, ect ect. Great job Archer, hope he keeps it up! :)

WOW..so it WAS an option!? DAng, now that makes all that replying a huge waste of tiem =P. Grrr shepski, u shoulda came along here earlier! Anywayse, do what shepski and cobra said, and that will solve all your problems and fullfill everything u were asking for.

Well, I can agree with you on the spinning fans. For lomac, or shall i say the A-10, the fan blades are basically a static skin texture. It is just plastered there and REALLY deminishes the sense of immersion right there. When viewing the hog from the front this really catches the eye and it is a noticable drawback. Im glad to hear it has been implemented into the 25...Hope they can mod it into the A10 one day. However, I CANT agree with you about lomac's lights. First of all, can you furthere evaluate about WHAT you are talking about. What dont you like about lomac's lights? IMO lomacs lights far surpass FS9's because they actually WORK and cast lighting on other objects, aircrafts, buildings, ect. Fs9's are just a white texture that, if you actually look at it, doesnt really light the object up. FS9's is just a simple work around. -
yea, agreed, If we do get any sort of helo, every ground object will really have to be redone and be actually solid or it what spoil the whole idea of flying a helo sim. You have to hide yourself behind anything you can find, trees, houses, buildings, ect. I hope we can therefore use the solid ground objects as part of our tactics. This will also give new life to flying down low and dirty in fighter jets, as then we would have to actually avoid trees...I've always flown right THROUGH them. :wink:

well one MAJOR update was the fact that the aerobatic smoke pods now actually work. So where ever you place them on the wing, smoke will stream from that location specifically and only. Also, you can adjust the color of the smoke to your liking..so no more Pure green and red wingtip smoke anymore! :D Another sort of aerobatic update is that multiplayer will be alot smoother with less lag and stutters, So flying formation should be easier and similar to the feeling of LAN. This info comes from one of the VFTC members.

lol..No, this IS NOT ingame and will NOT be with 1.1. The movie was just a render, and the harrier was Edited in. The pictures were harriers edited in as well. However, i presume the model itself IS real work TO be/Inteded to be implemented into Lomac. Its one of the 3rd party models being made by a fellow simmer for review by the Development team. If it makes it through, They might release it with as a free addon as an AI or flyable aircraft...though IF it does make it in, which odds are highly against cuz of the whole flight dynamic problem, then it probably will be an AI. My hope goes with this, in addition to other model projects which have progressed to THIS amazing stage as well. Several are basically done, I hope the dev's really take this into consideration. -

WTF?? AMAZING! :shock: This really was a project that suddenly popped out of nowhere! Really was surprised when viewing the pics and screenies, didnt expect to see a model intended for lomac..Thought they were gunna be some random ol' pics that an AV8B fan wanted to show :wink: The model is looking spot on, And my gawd, I dont care if it doesnt fit the time period or whatever at all, but if it has progressed THIS far, and the model is litteraly DONE, this has GOT to be added as at LEAST an AI aircraft! AMAZING! Looking PHenomenal as usual! I appreciate this work, as without LOMAN, lomac really would be several standards below then the way it is now. Really is a sinch to use! :P So this will install Over the older loman and keep all my Addons and such? And how were u able to make sure its 1.1 compliant, did you get to beta test it to make sure as well? :D -
Yup, Again..this was posted by the original author at the ubi forums, but I appreciate you bringing these back up for those few that havnt seen it yet. Indeed, this is an AWESOME mod. It very noticably changes all the lighting, and i have NEVER looked back. At first i was very satisfied with the default, but after trying this mod, it made the default lighting seem so dull, bland, and boring. :)

yup...the Devs sure got it right. They really have so many small detailed worked out and implimented..we dont even notice until they are actually brought up. Great job! The team Never fails to impress me. 8)

well I definitely dont know for sure, but WHY WOULD it be affected? I mean it doesnt really have anything to do with the new addons or anything implemented. All it is, is just a simplified radar, im sure you can have it with all the normal aircraft still.

hehe..sup man! But dont stop going over to the ubi forums though...thats where the majority still go. I've registered here n' all, but dont really post as I do over there at ubi, just isnt AS much life. Keep the fire burnin at ubi, but keep this one heated too! :)

Other than the UBI.forums, this IS the right place to post it. the only other place where the dev's look are all in russian, so that wouldnt be help to you. So you probably arent getting many replies/feedback because of the fact, like i said before, This is a feature implemented for the better. It is more realistic, more immersive, and more helpful for you getting a good situational awareness. So people really wouldnt bother thinking about taking away this feature, or even making it optional, as the majority absolutely love it. Again, just get used to it man..take it in stride! But anywaze, I dont really understand why you would be getting THAT much as for you to come on and really strive for it to be changed. I mean if your flying formation flying, How are you pulling so tightly, flying with so much AOA, or being so close to stalling? so again, and i bet your hoping this is the last, but get used to it :D

There is no easy landings option, thought it may SEEM like it as the landing model is very very over-simplified. This wont be the case with the 25T in the new addon tho! :D

Actually it does, to actually see the rivets and bolts, you need to have a high res skin, and that itself drops FPS. Having the rivents and lines made into the model would save ALOt of trouble for skinning and make the entire process for easier. You could then have alot lower res skins as well. -

mY MY My gosh, the model itself looks GREAT, as i've said before, it looks very round and detailed..but now with a skin, it looks better than ever! If you dont specialize in skinning or would like someone to help you out, mabey you should email someone like the renown Mitch to help you out in creating a realistic, worn, dirty skin. Keep up the work!! Keep posting shots :D -

o ya, I remember, I DID dl those helo skins part of the campaign, i never had time to try it, i might soon. The F-15C skin sounds promising as well, cant wait to get my hands on it once i find it. Well anywaze, Im sure the AI planes you ARE doing will be fantastic...i love the weathering, dirt, and old effects, thats what makes it realistic and awesome. Keep it up..updates and pics along the way would be nice. And last but not least, if you need any help with pics or skins, just give us a holla! :wink: BTw..could you give me a link to the simQ site, i dont have it bookmarked -

wow wow wow!! THat looks very very very nice :D The default lomac AI skins are pretty horrible. EXtremely LOW res, and low detail, look pretty much like cr/4p if it wasnt for the detailed models :wink: I have enjoyred all your heli skins/mods so far, You redoing ALL of the AI is a dream come true! Weathering and detailing like what you've done on that plane so far is exactly what we need. Dont stop, I hope you redo every skin! Btw...what happened to all your Heli skins that you posted screens of but never released?
