  1. FYI, When an aircraft breaks the sound barrier, the "vapor sonic boom" is NOT not something that automatically happens every single time as a given. The vapor you are looking for depends on several more factors, including humidity, altitude, temperate, ect. This would be overwhelmingly complicated and difficult to model into LOMAC.

  3. Not sure if this is what anyone's getting at, But Initially, I never intended to say flat out, the "Flanker pwns all." Just thought you guys had to see something more than beautiful and amazing. Andrew caught on pretty well.
  4. I dont know about you guys, But a lot of guys I feel worthy havn't been recognized. -Locsta, D-Scythe, Oxdy, Archer, skypat, Migmag, Britgliderpilot, BritRadarDude, Alexander, Varun, Mitch Janson, Teka, Flanker, Glowing, SilentE, ZZZspace, Strikemax, KnellKnell- I'm sure most above already have one, But hypothetically, if everyone had nothing more than a penny to spare, then they definitely get my vote! You guys may wonder why for a few, Ask, and i'll be sure to tell ya.
  5. Beautiful shot! Your shots are Very crisp and well done. Love the grass. The F-18 is so detailed because it was one of the last models to be modeled into the game. They really did a good job on it. The Flanker, as you may be able to tell, was one of the first. ;)
  6. Yea...Always zoom in on those and wonder what they refered to. Any ideas?
  7. Sweet shots for the billionth time! LOMAC could pass anyday as a full blown ship-born naval sim if someone were to only get a look at screenies like these. BTW, What is up with the smoke trail in the first few shots? Seems more like the horrendous smoke trails from the IL2 series. Il2 is a Beautiful game, I just dont get why the HECK the smoke is friggen 2D. Edit: Ooh, nevermind, Just remembered that zooming out all the way for the fish-eye type of effect brings it to 2D. (lomac)
  8. Will definitely make a point for this to be one of my first installed mods when I get 1.1!
  9. Wow..The cloud shadows on land terrain is now Real time??
  10. First of all, being a "next-generation" fighter relevant to another doesnt automatically mean that the next generation plane is always better at all. There is way more to it than that. Second, the Su-30MKI is a next-generation aicraft, that will continue to fight into the same era as the F-22. The Su-30MKI is the newest and most modern of the Flanker series, and is constantly being upgraded from its systems to its engines, as it is exported to other countries like India and Taiwan. -- No, The S-37 Berkut will not enter service as a full production fighter of any sort. It is a pure experimental aircraft to reach out and explore new aerodynamic and cockpit system technology. You can consider it Russia’s version of the X-29.
  11. hmm..Well this seems more of a thing where people would want to PM you what they think they contributed. Its just a bit unconfortable telling everyone flat out what one thinks he or she has done, for others to see and such.
  12. A free Tir2? Count me in! A trackIR is the only single thing i'm missing to really get the fullest out of the lomac experience that everyone already is. So what are the terms here?
  13. Sure thing. You planning to start skinning?
  14. ...So has anybody been able to view the video? And if so, Has it been of any help?
  15. Yep, Aonei is one of the greatest skinners out there, yet stays not really known by the community. His work really as detailed as you can get, with every rivet, bolt, and weathering done well. Try browsing through his site even though its in Japanese, and look at what he's got!
  16. Actually, Though both the Su-37 and 30MKI have Thrust vectoring, only the Su30MKI has the nozzles that are able to swivel in all directions, 360 degrees. The Su-37's can only move through verticle and horizontal axis's. To my knowledge, there have only been 2 flanker losses, in addition to a third that landed with its gear up, at airshows. Of the 2 true crashes, the Su-30MKI crashed when the plane performed an extra roll then planned as it neared the ground and was unable to pull out before its engine nozzles scrapped the ground, and the second was a renown crash with many pictures on the net as the Su-27 plunged and cartwheeled into the crowd. The flanker that landed with its gear up, was easily repaired and put back into service. How the Heck?! :) ..And to Andrew, your replies are very well put. Some things I just couldnt have said better.
