The skin you Downloaded REPLACES one of the default skins already ingame. You cannnot litterally ADD a skin. Therefore, under the payload section, if you download a Thunderbirds skin, It WILL NOT say "USAF thunderbirds," But instead, it will say "V-212. Eagle-Ragers" for example. However, When you click on the default eagle rangers skin slot, the Skin itself WILL be the USAF Thunderbirds skin. Just look through all the skins for that particular airplane type until you find the one you downloaded and installed.

Yes, the Su-30MKI and the out of service Su-37 utilize Thrust vectoring to drastically change their direction using sheer thrust at minimal speeds. They can be going at mach 1, Pull up, Bleed speed like a rock, and snap around 180 degrees in a completely new direction in moments.

I just checked. It plays just fine. You have to give it a moment to finish "buffering" and loading the video and it should start playing just fine. You dont need any codecs or anything....Just windows media player.

Hey guys...I dont speak Russian at all, But I found a very clear and high quality video of the Ka-50, and thought you guys in particular would like to see it. There was no Ka-50 mod thread posted over there in the english section, so I came over and just posted it here. :] I know one big problem of creating a whole new aircraft from scratch is finding good sounds and such. Just wanted to show you guys a great representation of the beauties to the Flanker, and especially the Su-30MKI, in this case. Even after seeing video after video, and picture after picture, Watching another Flanker perform is still nothing short of amazing. heh..sorry, that was a major typo. Looking at it again, I have no idea what I really meant back then :) Anyway, My point was that at that early stage, the nose was pretty off the accurate shape..Seem's like you're aware of that, and that it has improved, so no comments here. BTW, Do you have FS9? If so, it would be a GREAT deal of help and Reference to just download and view the fokker-100 from FS9 ingame. You would be able to get detailed and up close views of any part of the aircraft. The F-100 that they did is Very detailed, and is the most detailed F-100 available for Fs9...pretty much should be a fantastic template for you to follow off of.

Jeez, those are breathtaking shots, very dramatic! I could only imagine see'ing that in real life, in the heat of battle.

heh...Actually, I took a major shortcut for this one. Using the Flyable su-30, I set myself as a single plane to takeoff from the Kuz with the mission editor. Ingame, I immediately hit Alt-J to jump out of my aircraft, and allow the AI to take over. Instead of taking off for me, The AI just turned around from its launch position, and started taxiing over to a free parking slot. It moved in, opened the canopy, got the ladder, shut down engines, and folded the wingtips. I then hit RCVR and walla, another plane popped up at launch. I continued to do this over and over and over till' the carrier's deck was full to capacity. Sure is a MUCH easier way to set up a busy deck for some screenies and videos! Too bad this could only work for the Russian Kuz and its flyable su-33. ;)

yeesh..now thats a long haul! Good representation of the more boring side to the fighterjock life. Dont get me wrong though, I Love missions that requre long legs where you must always be awake and alert, and not dosing off...short-circuiting the hud as you drool all over it. Having to hit the tanker multiple times in one mission sure is something!

Wait so this mod is purely a Seat Texture replacement? Does it work with 1.02? If so, Thats fantastic news. In 1.02, they never suspected us to mod camera angles that far back, so there was this great big Clear strip in the middle of the Flanker Seat. Because of this, You only could (or wanted) to look back only so far. Did you really fill that strip in?
