That missile slider must really be stuck to your head. Most people do not mind that setting at all nor do even pay attention to it. They just have fun and enjoy the sim rather than put it under a microscope and find something wrong with it. I have told one of your members (609 Recon I think) who also posted about the 'Missile slider setting. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=8391&page=4&pp=10 Your squad is invited for a friendly match with the S77th with your preferred 'missile slider' setting. Drop us a line and we would gladly arrange something so that you don't get bored. You can also join the Lomac League and play against other squads. Sorry that the missile slider setting bothers you so much. I am sure our server is not the only one out there. Do not feel that you have to play with the maximum missile setting. I see many servers in HL all the time. Jabog, dreyou, 169th, 44th and 504th. Pick a server which suits your needs. Peace!

Yes I agree GOYA is pretty deadly with that F-15. Souless is also another good F-15 driver. We had some great times playing in the Lomac League. You will find some great competition from squad that are in it. Plus the Lomac League held a little tournament with Flaming Cliffs as the prize. 609 Recon, Sorry that you will not be playing just because of the 'Missile settings'. It is also not fair to blame the server owners for having specific settings in their server. If we set our missile slider to your preffered setting. Would your squad like to play a friendly match? Let me know and I would ask to change the Missile Slider setting so that you can play without worrying about it. Take care!

Yes it does but Quake 4 will be focused more for multiplayer which is the only thing I care about. Let's cross our fingers :)

Quake is a great game. I have played Quake 1, 2 and 3 so you can say I played Quake for about 5 years (multiplayer). I also stopped when I got into Lock On but I'm hoping to get back into it when Quake 4 is released. Take a look at this site http://www.quakecon.org/index.php It is an event held by ID Software each year. This year more of Quake 4 will be shown in Quakecon. Nice to see a fellow Quake player here. Flaming Cliffs uses a different 'Angle of view (zoomed out)'. Lock On 1.02 used a default '60' Angle of view. This setting was used for all the planes. In FC 1.1 each plane has a different 'Angle of view' setting. The reason why the SU-25 HUD is clear because the 'Angle of view' for that plane is much closer than the others. You said it yourself when you zoom in the HUD becomes clear :). You can still configure the view to make it look like 1.02. Unfortunately this is no longer done in the OPTIONs menu. You will have to look at the snapviews.lua file to change the Angle of View for each plane. Why are you so obsessed about the 'Missile Slider' setting? You have always been against 'Missile Slider' set to maximum since day one. It is true that the devs mentioned that 'MID' setting is supposed to be closer to real life but does this mean that a server with this setting unplayable to you? So my question here is does this setting also set missile effectiveness for online play? If anyone here can clear that up I am sure Vosxod will appreciate it. Thank you.

Not taking away from the other contirbutors but BSR Locsta, Glowing Amraam and zzzspace (not sure if he has one yet) gets my vote. So far they are the ones that I can think of who have contributed to the community and never asked for anything in return. They do it because they love Lock On and share with the community. Unlike some others who expects comments for their work in desperate need of recognition. Give it to someone who deserves it most and not to someone just because they have a large number of posts in Lock On forums. Peace and good luck to everyone.
