  1. Analogue planes are either modelled in DCS at full which doesn't mean "simple", as you know. And we're getting a bunch of them, in development now. Still not MAC or FC3 like .
  2. And does anyone having a real simulator like DCS really care about getting a lesser "gaming" product?
  3. Updater only checks for new releases once a day, if you'd already run the sim before update was live your install won't see it until the day after. Just update manually as suggested if you need MP or the like, if not tomorrow you'll get it.
  4. Plenty of them out there, so many I wouldn't really know which one to recommend in particular, TBH. To say something, you could start with something like this one, really simple and not specially good book (forget about the comments, there are a zillion way better and wider books about the subject), thought for modellers though but it has some the basic info you mean, https://www.amazon.com/Messerschmitt-Me109-1942-Planes-Pilots/dp/291390310 And if not that one in particular, just any similar book. If you look for deeper info and so there are others specific to the subject, Kagero publishing has many for instance, they get out of print quickly though.
  5. This is definitely K-4, the hatch in the fuselage is not square nor at that exact place in the late G models mimicking K features.
  7. Beautiful NZ skin . Hope it's not far from release now.
  8. What time stamp? Didn't notice any different than usual in that myself.
  9. Not at all, my suggestion is don't focus everything on that the way you apparently do, is it a bug? of course it is is it ugly? sure and I don't like that kind of ugliness neither, not even a bit should it be documented and reported?? Please, by all means do so right away Is it a horrendous bug so immersion killer I can't fly the module any more until they fix it right now or I'll get mad and stop breathing? Sorry mate, it is not, it's an ugly bit I don't even notice but barely enough from time to time, and since it is reported now that's all. The "I can't live any more like that" attitude is completely unnecessary because it's only in your head but don't expect we all to be the same. It's there, it's reported, so what more. That's what I'm saying. P.S. : not to mention it is already properly reported somewhere else, so all the fuss for nothing, others did it the right way and it is reported not because of you mate. More to my point… just breathe and chill a bit. It's ugly, Ok, I can live with until it's gone.
  10. Yep, maybe we read different quotes from the same developer in different ways. Not unheard of, definitely .
  11. I wouldn't mind having Crusader first, but either way I don't make their internal plans and v2.0 of something means a whole new module in my book so your assumption about "getting new code into old one" is only yours.
  12. Nope, I guess we never know but they've said some time it'd be next after Corsair.
  13. Yep, that. Only said they'll do it, no nothing yet but it'd be expectable a v2.0 remake should be up to modern DCS standards with regards to everything, 3D model, systems, and all. And about further versions... they talked about the possibility but for now it's only in our wishes.
  14. Yes, Bis was heavy, it's not just "weight" but as you pointed out thrust/weight ratio, hence wing load, yes those small wings highly loaded make it a heavy aircraft besides total weight. Size was barely the same all the time but weight wasn't, and bigger (so heavier) and more powerful engines didn't compensate for the overall weight increase, not to mention wings didn't get bigger so wing load didn't stop increasing. The real last model, not Bis but SMT, though not made in big numbers was a disaster due to weight increase with barely the same engine as Bis. Apparently pilots hated it. Why would it be so?
  15. You should have named the the thread more properly, with that title no forum moderator knows at first sight you mean there's a texture flickering on the flaps. Anyhow, it's ugly, should be reported, and all that, of course, yes, totally, but don't know about you but I don't fly looking at the flaps all the time. Perhaps your immersion killer is the pain in your neck you have because of that .
  16. Dunno really, but it's like they're map makers and only that and apparently they don't use or know the sim at all and just took it for the video. It'd make sense, perhaps, I guess, but well…
  17. Not true, MiG-21Bis Flight Model has been updated several times during it's life (since 2014) and the lasts updates came not long ago actually. As for your other assumptions, MiG-21Bis was a pretty heavy aircraft as expected since it was the last big iteration of the model, you can listen to some Finish pilot's interview on YT speaking about that and how he preferred MiG-21F-13 over Bis for actual combat, though that means dogfight and not any real modern BVR combat at all in which MiG-21 would be really limited facing capable contemporary counterparts, let alone more modern ones. So Bis is exactly what is expected to be as you can see in the actual real manual, MiG-21 wasn't really a dogfighter unless against contemporary aircraft with limited to none capacities in that regard, same as MiG-21. Against other more modern fighters it's no match without proper strategies. And as that it's depicted here. MiG-21Bis wasn't ever a nimble fighter aircraft, you're probably confusing and mixing different models.
  18. You mean, based on the pretty long whilists these threads quickly become. My guess, Aerges is a Spanish team, Spain had F-104G and that was the only version ever flying in Spain (aside from USAF ones, but those doesn't count like "available and accesible info"), so we'll get first and foremost F-104G and perhaps later on more F-104G updates since it may not be fully finished at release date, and that's all .
  19. Pitty you can't wait, but Chinese new year (with sales in previous years IIRC) I believe will be in February 10th. I know it's long whenever one is in the need, but…
  20. <profanity> happens. Pilots should be acquainted to using Zulu time and all, but still... As people say, don't worry, Chinese new year sale will be here soon enough and you'll have another chance, or maybe in Spring sale, or maybe Easter sale, or maybe pre Summer sale, or maybe Summer sale, or...
  21. So you haven't read the zillion threats at the proper place (M3 MiG-21 subforum...) where we've all said we'd like to see more variants and all aside from the MiG-21Bis overhaul promised to happen after F4U-1D release .
  22. They've already said a v2.0 is going to come, but that's after Corsair release. They keep being a rather small team.
  23. Yep, not unexpected since they already said there would be proper assets for the time of both aircraft (Corsair & Hellcat) but nice to see it confirmed.
  24. That's from the 2024 & Beyond video, I believe. Not completely new. Beautiful anyhow.
  25. No, it's not "the same", the one seen in the 2024&B vídeo is an early F6F-3 with it's characteristic exhaust cowling shape (that tiny bump, yes), the one in TFC (sadly no longer there) was a late F6F-3, or an early -5 (which also boasted the little back window) without that exhaust cowling shape. It doesn't mean they don't put in the module several versions in the end (it'd be really nice), but what we've seen so far is only an early -3, no more.
