C101 is quite regularly patched, fixed, and enhanced in a regular basis if you look at the changelogs every DCS patch. Anywhere near abandoned whatsoever, mate.

It was a bad move from Luthier since the beginning, but his thatothersim mind where K4 was the best and people only want to fly the best spoiled it all. ED just took over the wreckage remains that they found, and the K4 was already set in people's minds and wallet since we paid the kickstarter for a K4 . I knew back in the day it was a bad move, I'm sure many people back then knew it was a bad move, but the bulk of the people with their "I want the best" online competitive minds was too much to get over. Now we have what we have and the past can't be changed, just hope the WWII in DCS, which in my opinion is the best by far from the simulation realism perspective, just keeps going on and we get more content over time, more aircraft, appropriate aircraft, and more maps, more appropriate maps. It's all we can hope for. Very long story to cover it all, but BoB stuff was said to be coming to DCS at some point (I hope so), but it just happens to be the niche inside the niche and these modules are expensive and very time consuming items to develop. Not that easy to say "I'm developing this and that" and it's done in a couple of months. That only happens in other games, quite simpler games, but not here in a full simulation.

Can't recall where or when they said every word, but last time they said something about it was not long after Corsair release, here in these very forums (I don't follow all the media, I just read here), and they (some M3 dev) said that it is coming, not when of course, but it is. And from previous words they said it's even on the works, just Corsair was their goal at that moment, but they aimed to put more workforce into the MiG once the Corsair was released and working, so they've been already working since some time and it's coming. That's the thing. But the patience to wait for it is on us only . P.S.: oh, yes, there were some MiG-21 cockpit 3D scans somewhere in their more recent update, maybe a month or so ago, dunno where but probably this subforum, maybe this thread just previously, or any other around

I mean, really people?? you always find something to argue about, but I read nothing about the gorgeous looking 3D model, gorgeous looking cockpit, gorgeous looking physics of the landing gear and suspension system bouncing at start up and taxi like I hadn't seen before in DCS, then it slides a bit but shows how sturdy the gear is anyway and despite it's not on grass or rough earth, and the tail wheel also behaves sooo nicely and realistically. I can't tell about flight physics because I wasn't at the controls, but it looks good by now. Many things are seen in that video, and you all only argue about whether the obvious camera effect for climbing into the cockpit is an effect (it should be, we haven't that in DCS, yet) or not… The module looks amazing, will get it just to support Octopus amazing work and to experience that kind of engine management. I don't really care that much by now about the combat and possible missions and maps to be used on, but it's a must module looking so great and I'll have it.

It isn't optimism, it's just the obvious realism M3 already said it's coming. What they didn't say is when it'll arrive. Perhaps what you mean is you wish you had my patience .

I highly doubt it since the v2.0 is coming and that new version is the one which I suspect and expect to be coming with all the new bell & whistles.

It's only a guess, since Aviodev have already released a couple ex-Spanish Air Force aircraft and they're developing the third one we can expect sometime they manage to get their hands into the Mirage IIIEE (Spanish version) information and develop and release this one either for their next module after F-104. But to my knowledge it's just a good hope for the moment, not to mention anywhere close even if it goes like that in the end.

Wow, I mean WOW, 11 years!! There was a time a while ago when it was 7 years, then people started saying 8 years (neither of them true, make it 3-4), but apparently the time it took grows and grows every time someone uses that for an argument and now it's peaked at nothing less than 11 years!! WOWWW , it's the miracle of the M3 Corsair's ever growing development time . Next time I hear about it I'd expect it took not less than 15 years You all as always so positive people, but they've already said a MiG-21Bis v2.0 in on the works and it'll be coming. Obviously the new module should be using a tool, like RSBN is, unavailable at the time of release back in 2013. What else do you need to know? the current module has it's own RSBN system and it's working and usable.

Yep, and not that long ago they said the works had even already started, though only minor stuff since they were bogged down with the Corsair. Now it's released, and even though it's WIP and they'll keep polishing it for quite a while, let's hope the MiG-21 v2.0 comes sooner than later

Probably none of them, but engine management wise it's obviously something relatively close to P-47 and F4U. I don't think any of the others would be anything even vaguely similar to compare to.

I've learnt so much English in these very same forums, for the good, and for the bad, either from natives not very careful speakers-writers as well as non natives speaking-writing very good (or very bad) English. People's mistakes also help to learn when you spot them according to the grammar you've studied, as well as many idioms and expressions I wasn't aware of and people use daily. These forums are a gem for that, so, not only don't try to correct people, please, don't correct everything neither .

I don't see it in the screenshot, but, are you flying on an ISA conditions atmosphere? otherwise you'll never get the listed TAS. Remember, all your tests should be performed on international standard atmospheric conditions (ISA), meaning T=15º C, Pressure = 1013'25mb , otherwise numbers won't ever match.

And I do know because back in time when that happened I was in those discussion and many others about the same tiresome subject . Still stand on my point, "you might like or dislike it but that doesn't make it more realistic as many, and you, say it is just because they haven't the experience of the actual filthiness an aeroplane constantly grows" Just a hint, aeroplanes gross weight is never the one said at factory, in their airworthiness certificate it must be updated every now and then because aeroplanes gain weight!! Do you wonder why an aeroplane actually gains weight over their service lifetime?? Guess… Whatever it is, you dislike worn out aeroplanes, I love them. So?

No I can't dear ac5 because those high quality color kodachrome pictures costed a kidney and half your liver back in the day so why would they take any color picture of that small unimportant detail in the first place? But apparently you haven't seen a real aircraft in a daily use, and they got scratches and stained all over very quickly, even at the factory. You know, in a war they don't pay attention to cleaning the planes before sending them to the front line . Not to mention, usually primer is the only thing used in the interiors so a relatively thin coat of primer between you and the bare metal, and that lasts really short time until it gets scratched and stained all over (primer is not even a paint and it's usually a rough finish which gets smudged easily). Anyhow, my point being, you might "like" it, or you might "dislike" it, and I'm all about respect for others opinions and likings. But you both can't pretend the "factory pristine condition" is any sustainable argument for your own likings when that doesn't match real life at all the moment you know any real life aeroplane and I've known a few to know even private modern aeroplanes get dirt the moment you take them home. Not to mention you dismiss the "museum relic" thing as it wouldn't be a reality, and you don't know the half of it, those museum relics are actually pretty clean since they are, you know, museum relics and are kept clean and unused any more… Sorry mate, "maintenance in the cockpits and aeroplanes are an oxymoron. They don't even clean the airliners you fly in, wait for the us navy to clean your cockpit… Bear in mind it's usually and most of the time ground crews who start the engines for you (watch the Corsair period training films, they say it), and that's after the pre-flight check and all which means filthy hands, clothes and boots. You can expect oil, grease, gas and all kind of filth from the aeroplane itself staining the cockpit (they aren't your house maids, you know, they don't try to keep it clean and all). Plus, that means a lot of people pass through the cockpit even before flying just for checks and all and the more people the more opportunities for the plane to get filth. It's as simple as that.

Yeah, then again I completely disagree with you whatsoever. Aeroplanes are usually the filthier thing you've known and even unreleased aeroplanes at factory still in tests are usually worn out just with some engine runs up and a couple of test flights, so they reach front line not even close to that "factory pristine" you claim to be. Actually, if something, DCS F4U-1D Corsair's skins are if something waaayyy too clean. For the record, these are your "factory fresh" examples, brand new yet already filthy even without having seen a single day of front line service,

Yep, I don't receive any spam from ED or ED related stuff. At all, and I used to have a hotmail account time ago which is horrible getting spam, but still not ED or DCS related. Anyhow, try to change your emails here at the forums and ED account (they're 2 different ones) for a better and safer email provider of your liking, they're usually way better with the spam.
