  1. The map alone doesn't tell the magnetic variation, the date the mission is set on does. Have you checked that?

    What next?

Hope next they finish the Sinai map adding all the stuff they plan to .
  3. If it's a new purchase, check brakes axis are not reversed. They're by default and has to be set the other way around. That might well be why you're tipping over jut touching them, they're fully applied when released.
  4. To this point I still don't understand what's the exact nature of your problem. Could you show a screenshot or something alike to better see what you mean? You mean you don't see them? You mean they disappear? You mean what?
  5. In reality you also have wings with a lift vector, that's perhaps why you don't completely see the absolute same effect. I'd say "to my knowledge…", but I can't really recall all the stuff. What I recall is I always liked better left airport patterns before right ones because those were more comfortable to fly, I guess your nose high attitude instead of having to pull the yoke on top of the right turn is what is more comfortable. C152 of course, nothing that fancy. Anyhow remember you also have adverse yaw in turns, because of the wings and ailerons aerodynamics, that can also change your perception. But yes, those, and a lot more indeed, are the basic effects you have with a turning propeller in front of you. Haven't tried P-47 seeking for those effects in particular and it's correctness, they should be there and should be right. If something's off by mistake it should be addressed of course. Never noticed weird things. Don't you have a video or something to show?
  6. There's a script somewhere to do exactly that within the same mission, it "stops" at some point, loads the new map and you follow in the same place but new map, and back. I guess it's not working online, and I don't know if it works any more. Do some searching if you want to, there were also vids on YT explaining how it works, probably with download links.
  7. Didn't read that in your posts. Well, everything applies the same, obviously, it's just you got a harder time with no rudder pedals. Once you got those Virpil you want you'll kind of have to learn again, but as said everything told here applies the same. You'll just have to adapt to your new hardware. Of course you'll get better .
  8. Here, first page first post, check if any of those are the ones you mention,
  9. Congrats Based on your last video, you can still improve it a bit. You remembered quite well to push stick back, unlike the first video, and centred it at the right time though a bit abruptly. It's not easy to learn, one has to practice it of the mission even, but try to release the stick little by little until you reach those 100Km/H. Releasing the stick at once might result in unwanted movements, even an accident. But more importantly, how come you don't move your feet? like at all?? I see only some brakes usage at the very first moment of the run, but no rudder pedals at all until you're already airborne . Do you have take off assistance activated? If so, that might well be what caused you problems at first .
  10. Aside from further future plans of enhancement they plan or may arise sometime, somewhere there were a list of airports planned to be included in Sinai map. The ones already meant to be on release, and the ones meant to come later while in early access but already planned to be. Have you checked those you mention aren't on that list already?
  11. Everything is always released first on the open beta, no problem with buying beforehand but if you stick with stable version, which is fine, you know it'll take some time for it to reach stable version, from maybe couple or three weeks to a month or so, usually, but nothing set on stone.
  12. I'd be into it either, as well as some sort of persistent tear and wear also. But I'm also quite sure the usual luftwhiner since quite old simulation times isn't willing to go there, they only see problems on the other side .
  13. Your 109 or 190s aren't modelled either with fuel problems, supplies problems, low trained pilots problems, or slave labour building quality problems. Would you like those to be modelled into your almighty 109?
  14. Your experience is really surprising. I can get the relative frustration about graphics quality since they have to be lowered down so much in order to get decent FPS in game, but on the other hand I've being using TrackIR 4pro since 2006-7 and not long ago 5 from a friend who was quitting sim gaming, and it's flawless. In my experience the kind of stutter you refer to in TrackIR usually comes from bad setting, bad placing of the device (lighting, shines, whatever) and usually poor profiles. You cannot have a window in your back, or any light source for the matter, but neither in your front if you wear glasses or anything else in your head, whatever it is you get reflections and light spots in your camera. But it's as easy as looking at the camera IR view to identify those spots and squash them. Track Clip with it's own IR light source also helps, back in 2009 I was at a lan party and while I had no problems with my track clip friends of mine had all the troubles with the really big ceiling lights at the place we were, so even in bad lighting conditions that can be setup to be usable. Wouldn't know why your experience with a specifically made high quality tracking device was that bad, and yeah, I've tried also some freetrack and all, those didn't cut it at least back then, talking about stuttering and low camera frames. So, if you finally got it sorted out however it was good for you, but trackIR is not just perfectly fine but the better suited device I've tried. I believe nowadays anyway similar tracking devices can be bought quite cheaper, but still those are just trackIR copies. And of course free tracking software has evolved a lot, but since my trackIR keeps working flawlessly as always I've no reason to complain or change it until I can get decent graphics in VR as you say, though to be honest that setting up process for weeks or months is what takes me back more to even try going into VR. I'm a bit tired of configuring everything on PC for such long times whenever I want it a certain way, be it DCS or any other game. I'm more expecting a plug and play thing these days instead of having a Ph.D. on VR settings.
  15. Yeah, I also missed it first time I looked for it in FS98…
  16. It's just about total objects count. Yeah, we all hope with the world map planned and future engine updates they manage to remove that limitation the current engine is having, despite all the efforts and enhancements we've already seen. It's obvious how PG, Syria, Marianas, Normandy 2 and now Sinai have enjoyed a big enhancement in that regard, still apparently not enough. I'm sure they'll continue getting that better.
  17. No offence taken, I don't publish the map . Those areas you mention weren't supposed to be there at first, it's not they didn't want to, I guess they weren't even sure how that would work performance wise, but still it's on top of the fact that Siria map already models some of those. They tried to set a couple airports in South Israel to widen the scope of the map, and later on they decided to include a bit more detail in those areas. Now, if you read all these forums, and since performance isn't bad at all (aside from a bunch of people, but there's always a bunch of people even with top notch rigs having bad performance anywhere) apparently they plan to widen even more that area, but still I'm quite sure it won't overlap already existing Siria map by too much. Anyhow, just remember that area, those exact spots you mention, even if they enhance them later on are meant to be low detail. There's a limited amount of detail you can ad in handmade maps like these are before your computer starts to scream.
  18. Israel is low detail area, IIRC, not even meant to be there at first.
  19. You can force updating from start menu ED/DCS folder, Update. You can either from the console manually, just open CMD on /bin folder of your installation or navigate to that folder and type "DCS_Updater.exe update" w/o quotes.
  20. It depends, Normandy 2 had a trial from the very first day so people complaining it's "the same map" could try and see it's not. The rest of the modules (I recall Apache, for instance) take a while to be added, as well as some modules aren't in the trial thing, I guess it's up to its publisher to be included or not.
  21. Welcome mate. …not to mention this is the bugs section specific to the Channel map, it'd be better on the Spitfire module section (not bugs, though…). Aside from clearing all the default settings as they don't usually work well, as suggested by the previous fella, if the key works for you the way it should it's as easy as making sure you assign that very same key to the joystick button you plan to use. If it doesn't work, you more probably than not have doubled assignments to the same action, also as suggested previously. When in controls setup page, if you push whatever joystick button, key, or whatever, it lights up and brings you to the place telling you what's currently assigned to that key-button, so check if there's any doubled key-button. It's pretty visual on the full list.
  22. If I'm not mistaken that's probably due to having used some old template which featured misplaced elements back then. Anyhow, wings, better or worse represented, are a feature. P-51 wings were puttied, sanded, and painted silver dope, not bare metal. Once done (in the latest P-51 update, it wasn't there before) many old skins already there just stopped working or work badly.
  23. Yep, having RSBNs would definitely be nice, as well as some instant action missions which are already lacking in some other maps, but Sinai is a rightful place for the -21.
