  1. I have to +1 this. Riverman is a M pilot, and his experience would greatly help that idea. I mean even if it's just the slick MH-60M I'd be happy. Not so much the armed version.
  2. The first combat landing I did was in Iraq when I flew from Kuwait to Balad. It was night, and couldn't see out of the porthole of a C-130 and I'm not religious, but I was praying to land, preferably soon. The C-17 is more tame when we did the landing in Bagram, so it depends on what plane you fly in. I'm just reminiscing for those who will do this on how your "passengers" will feel if you RP that kind of stuff in missions.
  3. Yeah in the PM I don't have any reliable shots. Nice pic though but that's how it looked anyway back then or when this was taken.
  4. Sure thing, by tomorrow I'll get it to you, should have a top view of it, I think.
  5. Agreed, I can find where I was anyway, just a matter of time
  6. I mean my FOB wasn't added, but the more the merrier I guess.
  7. I've never worn PVS-15s, mainly 7s and -14s, so it's a bit limited, but usually it is a bit clearer in regards to ambient light, so I would say that this is a bit odd though.
  8. While I served in the Sunni Triangle, it may help to narrow it down a year or so, given deployment length and so on, because on average a new unit was there for a year or so.
  9. Yeah even years ago it wasn't hard to see with them. I haven't flown at night recently, but NVGs are well... weird sometimes.
  10. It's stressed that you do it on the default map as some people who need to see it, probably don't have that map, so I'd recommend doing it on the Caucasus map and then re-uploading it
  11. Exactly because no matter how much we complain it still will take time. Sure I may want to try the module, but I do work for another game and it takes time to work on, so let them worry about getting it ready and less complaining, because it's not going to move any faster either.
  12. I mean I can't say you're wrong but overall I don't do anything whatsoever with the kinematics of an AGM-88C, but I do know it's not a silver bullet that's for sure, at least in the sim. As for real life we'll have to have somebody who actually fired them to weigh in, because I'm not that guy.
  13. I mean I never coded for DCS, but what little I saw when me and SkateZilla worked together years ago, there's a lot you can and can't do. It makes no sense going to jail to provide players with a real experience. I mean it would be nice, but i think they care about such things. Even for another game I play, I have to balance what I can do with the files, and what I have to keep to myself as well.
  14. I mean then you'll be approaching games like sandbox ones that do feature visible cargo, but in the end it would be kinda nice, +1
  15. Okay it's going to be a long one, but if it's not happening when tested, I'll leave this one alone then. Thanks though as any short distances it works fine, but anyway, okay.
  16. I guess you call it the HSI when you have the default right CDU page on the screen. Anyway I was doing a basic waypoint exercise to get familir with navigating and the HSI doesn;t go to the third waypoint. It should be noted that the waypoints are made in the Mission Editor and not on the fly like in the Flight Plan area, just following the points to make sure I can get around in the helo and whatnot. It doesn't seem to want to follow the points after the second one. I was going to do a track, but this only happens at long distances, and not short distances (which I was doing in the track), so I can make a track, but it'll be too long, so if you don't mind I can do one, but not sure how long it could be. Bug track.miz
  17. Agreed, while DCS has a TLAR (That Looks About Right) attitude sometimes, it generally doesn't skimp on the details that can be done and such.
  18. Just did a short flight in the terrain, I wish they'd get some of the cities fleshed out. Anyway was going to bring up Iran as it needs some love too, given the closeness and the like. But I'm sure they're maybe working on it though, given the historical significance of the map. But yeah +1 for more Iranian airbases.
  19. I just googled it and it says the C can still engage if the radar is shut off, and isn't as accurate, The D model is more accurate though, through the GPS/INS and so on.
