I mean I never coded for DCS, but what little I saw when me and SkateZilla worked together years ago, there's a lot you can and can't do. It makes no sense going to jail to provide players with a real experience. I mean it would be nice, but i think they care about such things. Even for another game I play, I have to balance what I can do with the files, and what I have to keep to myself as well.

I mean then you'll be approaching games like sandbox ones that do feature visible cargo, but in the end it would be kinda nice, +1

Okay it's going to be a long one, but if it's not happening when tested, I'll leave this one alone then. Thanks though as any short distances it works fine, but anyway, okay.

I guess you call it the HSI when you have the default right CDU page on the screen. Anyway I was doing a basic waypoint exercise to get familir with navigating and the HSI doesn;t go to the third waypoint. It should be noted that the waypoints are made in the Mission Editor and not on the fly like in the Flight Plan area, just following the points to make sure I can get around in the helo and whatnot. It doesn't seem to want to follow the points after the second one. I was going to do a track, but this only happens at long distances, and not short distances (which I was doing in the track), so I can make a track, but it'll be too long, so if you don't mind I can do one, but not sure how long it could be. Just did a short flight in the terrain, I wish they'd get some of the cities fleshed out. Anyway was going to bring up Iran as it needs some love too, given the closeness and the like. But I'm sure they're maybe working on it though, given the historical significance of the map. But yeah +1 for more Iranian airbases.

I don't fly the F-16 but the HARM is designed to remember the location of the emitting radar if it goes off. That was a feature added to real world HARMs due to experience with the Vietnam War when SAM radar operators turned off their radars due to a Shrike or Standard ARM attack and confuse the missile. If I'm reading right then that's intended behavior.

There was a chin sensor proposed, but for some weird reason they went with the tank. Military logic didn't logic this time I feel.

I mean I wasn't pushing the deal with the topic notation that it wasn't going to be done so it's all good man. Well said and cool with me as the Litening is good enough for the work it does, so thanks for this.

Ahh I see

I didn't realize that there's separate threads for User Mods and the like, so while we're past halfway to the end of the year, why not have one?

Yeah we gave them some Stingers and I think the British Blowpipe, but they liked the Stingers if my mind serves me right.

This. Templates are fine either way, but even now I don't fly the Afghanistan map as much as I'd like, and don't make missions to satisfy my need to relive days long past. Overall this isn't a shooter sandbox like another game I play, that's fine. Overall if I can at least put my former FOB on the map as a template I'm all for it.

I just started flying the CH-47 and will have to look at how to use it as I go along. Right now I'm just flying for a little bit, and getting myself to land without breaking it.

Apparently they're not too bad as they seemed to make it there in time.

Su-33, able to retract nose gear while deployed on ground
EricJ replied to EricJ's topic in Flaming Cliffs Bugs & Problems
Yeah fair enough. I haven't touched the Su-33 in years (along with everything else), but it's surprising you can do that though, I would have thought that was impossible.
