I don't see why we can't pin this topic, I mean on one hand there isn't many of us taking photos (I haven't flown it in weeks myself), but most of the other modules have a pinned Screenshot topic. @BIGNEWY you think this is possible?

Yeah really. I mean I knew that the map wasn't finished when I bought the whole thing though, and was kinda confused at first too. But I got the whole map so I'll have to wait for the rest to show up, and any improvements.

I can agree with you that the Iraq map doesn't have that sort of polished feel that Afghanistan is at currently. I mean then again I haven't been on the Iraq map in a long time (a few weeks), but I also look at it that it's still work in progress textures, which the finished product (or out of Early Access feel) or whatnot will yield better results. I don't set my expectations high when it's Early Access, because it's at the beta stage, and through experience and prior work, it's just how the company rolls as far as quality. I mean if it were a finished product I would complain more, but not so much when it's still being developed.

It's Early Access, and more or less Iraq had that density in the urban environment (I mean it was fairly dense now that you mention it when I was there), so I'm not too sure how it's ":unrealistic" in any sense. Yeah it's taking a minute to be finished, but I don't think it's that bad.

I mean where I was we had ANA and stuff, so I agree, we need some more assets to flesh a scenario out though, as I'm sure modders will do it down the road, or we may get lucky with ED doing it.

I did both Iraq and Afghanistan once, but I prefer Afghanistan since I actually did my job there (I did H&I fires in Iraq, but that wasn't common either), so Afghanistan resonates more than Iraq ever did for some reason.

It was commercial to Manas, then C-17 to BAF, then I think C-130 or helicopter to Jbad, then helicopter to the FOB for my only Afghan deployment, so yeah it was what it was

Nice, I don't have any photos of the winter time, but yeah as said it just dusted the mountains while in the valley floor it was just rainy and the like. I remember seeing a lot of snow but that was from the Blackhawk taking us from Jbad to Bagram, and then went home for my leave.

Never had that problem and I assumed they were F-15Es, but whatever, they really didn't bother me too much, I'm a heavy sleeper so if they were roaring in the night I was knocked out most of the time. Then again I wasn't there long anyway, since it was just coming in and out for heading back to the FOB and stuff. Just a transient.

Yeah I came in from Kyrgystan and went on leave in a C-17 to Kuwait, and beyond, never commercial, I'm not that special.

Yeah I was a Company Fire Support NCO for my Light Infantry Company, so I was more static. I thought Bagram was okay. I guess if you're a real POS you would have an issue with the jets taking off, but when you realize that they're possibly going to blow up somebody, you just deal with it. Anyway I went through there for the initial deployment, then went to Blessing through Jbad and so on, and for leave too. Other than that just the mountains and Pech River Valley and such.
