Gotcha

I think it would look better without the orange, but that's probably correct anyway.

I honestly don't mess with it, and on a "clear day" it seems normal to me, and so on.

[SKINPACK] 53rd TFS, F-15C, BITBURG AFB, 1984 - RELEASED
EricJ replied to SOLIDKREATE's topic in F-15C
Well I may fly it more (I currently just prefer the A-10C II), but yeah no problem man, anytime. -
I have half a mind to delete the topic, or ask it to be closed, but a PM conversation with NineLine... He said not to give up hope. So I'll keep the topic around for that fact. So yes right now it may not be implemented, but maybe in the future it will be. There's simply no reason not to, and we'll have to hope they'll reconsider once the Sniper pod tech works out. I mean the current pod is good enough for what I do (it's done a good job so far), and so on, so it's not like it's a burning request right now. More or less "nice to have since it's employed", and so on. So for hope I'll keep the topic around and such.

It's on the nose texture, the rails are like in the area between the fuselage and such, roughly in the middle of the template. I just simply painted there than messing with a roughmet since I don't know how to mess with them that much. i know diffuse, but not roughmet yet. -

Looks nice man, definitely is believable as a skin. -

Nice, I'll look at it later on though, in the middle of dinner, but from the screenshot looks good. -
Above now available in the User Files

Okay there's a sticker/tag that was added that there are no plans for the DCS version, so we're stuck with the Litening pod.

Trees are just cosmetic as above. In no way shape or form do they (or never did) have anything special about them. Unlike another game I play, the sheer amount of trees that are "planted" on the maps is just logistically impossible to maybe "plant" for realism sake.

Are the delay fuses broken for laser-guided bombs right now?
EricJ replied to AceMcPlane's topic in Bugs and Problems
I don't think the fuze is broken, but a typical Delay fuze is milliseconds, not seconds long (because the kinetic energy would produce enough to pierrce stuff, like foilage, not a bridge). So in real life you wouldn't drop a bomb on a tank under a bridge anyway. Makes no sense since the bridge would stop the bomb from blowing up a tank. Damage maybe, but the bridge would absorb much of the blast, and the sim is acting as such. I mean you're using a 500lb bomb, use a GBU-10/24 and you might get better results too. -
From what I understand that's not listing a country in the description.lua file. I was doing some skins for somebody and he mentioned that when he was setting up stuff for his project.

I think there was mention of adding FOBs (I'll have to check your mission, even though I know where mine is) or something along those lines somewhere. I think NineLine responded, or something like that in a topic about FOBs. I tried looking for it, as the OP deleted it, or something like that. Anyway I found where I was deployed at, and may attempt a template or whatnot to mess with, but for now I'll just fly out of Jbad and see the sights.

In this image, where Manogay is (coordinates are on the bottom left on the screenshot), the town of Nangalam is right there to the Southeast, Manogay was just a small village where it's at on the map (that was overtaken by FOB Blessing), but the part across the Pech was Nangalam, not a continuation of Manogay. Other than that keep up the work.. Afghan Flyer.miz

DCS World 2025 Screenshots and Video Thread

I agree, I mean I flew over where I served, and think that Nangalam (just southeast of Manogay) should be there instead because Manogay was like a small village compared to the more abundant Nangalam. Anyway, the map is beautiful so far, and I need to make a mission where I play around and plink targets and such, and enjoy the scenery. I mean with the A-10 and other stuff that was used there it's a real demanding place for doing stuff, and agree, the attention to detail with the villages is nice. Too bad there's no sandbox with infantry (like a first person shooter perspective) on the scale of other sandbox games. But it's great for flying and think that while it's got it's issues, it's still a good buy.

I mean I haven't moved to helos but I'll give it a +1.
-
Yeah I think the L-39 is "safe", along with the A-10s, so I'm hedging my bets on that, unless they do change it, and the templates (which I would think they would update too). But I've spent more time skinning than actual flying really. I mean I need to learn some facets of the A-10 but overall I'm also not in any rush.
-
Okay, didn't know that happened (never was a JTAC, but I did have an LLDR in the Army), and we had assigned laser codes for lasing for stuff. And never had to lase when downrange, so gotcha.
-
No, unit SOPs determine the code for the ground designator, not the pilot assigning a code. It's not how it works.
-
I mean special ops helos are great to fly, but the thing is that they're for special forces troops, not in the context of just fly around. I mean yeah I like special ops helos (especially the MH-60) are cool, but as mentioned there is only so much you can do with it. You don't have a first person shooter element to make it worth the effort of making it (I play another game and I've done helicopters for special ops gamers) and you just fly around, not getting the thrill of dropping customers off and doing their thing, and then picking them up, and so on.
