It's pretty frustrating . The old il2 brand has been teamed up with 777 studios to make a new ww2 combat sim. Cliffs of Dover has been abandoned. The new il2 team have made clear theirs wil be a lite combat is with no clickable cockpits. Back in the day I would have been into this but dcs p-51 has ruined me. I now need full switch and don't think I will be able to go backwards.
Watch this. P-47 strafing. The only deceptive thing is the mounted camera is shaking on its mount because of the vibration of the 8 .50 cals. It gives the impression the tracers squiggle a bit - which is an illusion.
Rumors going around the cliffs of Dover project has been killed off. Wouldn't it be wonderful to get all those beautiful models in dcs?
There's the h-111, ju 88 and Stuka and early spits and bf 109s.
Dream result would be to get A2A involved.
Milviz's beautiful F-86
I reckon the developers need to do all they can to get this model in DCS World.
Absolutely beautiful:

How about it chaps?
Bugger. I thought there was a chance of an AI opponent?
I recall seeing pix of an fw-190 and b-17 for escort?
and how do i deactivate previous versions to avoid losing downloads?
BF-109G was a very good aircraft. And the BF-109K was to be feared apparently. It was a lack of experienced pilots that saw the luftwaffe regularly flogged by the P-51D.
But agree. Would like to see the FW-190D as the adversary.
Or maybe a late model WW2 Japanese aircraft - given we seem to have the long range version of the P-51D that flew missions over Japan in 1945.
