Pman says he has been experimenting with 3d scanning. I was thinking more of scanning cockpits rather than the exterior of aircraft. My understanding is cockpits are the most time consuming to model.

Draw distance? Watching that latest Mig-15 gunnery tutorial video I can see no work has been done on improving the distance at which enemy aircraft can be spotted. I know Edge is still in pre-Alpha, but I hope this will be considered. If DCS is to properly do the whole WW2 aircraft combat thing you need to be able to spot aircraft at realistic distances. At the moment aircraft seem to get a few km out then just magically disappear! Here's hoping!

Why on earth would a brand new engine not support multiple cores?

Tell me somebody is going to make use of this Yak-9 cockpit? And how different is the Yak-9 pit to the Yak-3?

I’ve been thinking for a while there must be a few of us out there interested in the whole process of building a DCS module. How does a would-be DCS mogul find experts to build an aircraft and cockpit or new map? What are the hurdles and pitfalls in getting a new module working. And will a new module make money for the backer? I thought perhaps DCS could organize online master classes of sorts for those of us interested in this process. Who knows, it might lure new funding to DCS world? Cheers.

Please fix the guns smoke. It's over the top and causes frame rate performance issues. And it wouldn't hurt for the ground crew to clean the canopy.

DCS level WW2 carrier landings would be amazing. Hellcat and zero please!

G'day guys. I had a mate build me a machine almost 5 years ago now and while it still smashes most games I throw at it, DCS is hit and miss. Particularly online. I have an eye to a new build maybe in the next few years. I won't do anything until EDGE is released, but is there something I could do to this build rather cheaply to improve performance. More RAM perhaps? I find DCS works better with Crossfire OFF. Appreciate your thoughts. I have Win 7 64 Intel® Core i7 950@3.07Ghz 6GB RAM 2x AMD HD 6800 Samsung SSD GIGABYTE GA-X58A motherboard
