Oh boy, I have tons.... First, I want the CFA-44. It can track and launch missiles against 12 targets simultaneously, or use railguns. Also, the FALKEN, which can shoot laser beams. And lastly something sweet for me and a buddy to fly in together, either an F-14, F-15 , F-18, SU-32, or SU-34.
  2. It looks so cool. Happy New Year.
  3. DCS UH-1H Huey please! Thanks a ton for holding this, it's really great of you. And Merry Christmas everyone!
  4. I think right now we're in a bit of a lull, waiting for all the third parties to do their thing, Nevada, and of course ED's next aircraft. There haven't been any big releases recently and I think many of us are getting a bit bored just sitting around with the same stuff we've had for a while. But I'm sure things will come out that will impress us all and we'll all be happy, my guess is it will be the mig, and I'm sure Nevada will be almost done around that time. It's just the cycle of this I think, get new awesome toy then wait a while for the next to come out. With just a little patience I'm sure we'll all soon be flying a new awesome aircraft.
  5. For the C model please :)
  6. Here is how you install these: -Download and extract the file. -Move the folder(the one with the .dds files in it) into the aircraft's liveries folder, located in ....Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Bazar/Liveries/[AIRCRAFT] Here is a picture to help- Now you can enjoy your awesome new Ace Combat skins! No, it will stay even after an update.
  7. Dude these are awesome, great job! The effort you put into these really show. Ace Combat was such a great series, glad to have these in DCS. Will you be doing any of the idolmaster skins? ;)
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. Did a little skinning in my free time - Might be working on some more ^^
  10. I would say start getting a feeling for the aircraft in the air, then learn how to deploy weapons.
  11. Rest in peace Jim , you will be missed :(
  12. Sorry, not possible as far as I know.
  13. Do you mean simply changing what skin is used on your aircraft in a mission? You can find that in the mission editor. Have a plane selected, then click on the small square icon that brings you to payload.(Located around the right side of the screen, and about middle-ish height, there is a row of them). Now all you have to do is select what skin you want to use in the drop down menu located near the bottom right. (Unfortunately you will not actually be able to view the skin) If you want to actually know how to create your own skins and put them in DCS, I can explain that too in a longer post.
  14. All the processors are fine, I ran DCS with a 2.6 quad core and it was fine. It's really just the GPUs I'm unsure about. I'v actually looked at some benchmarks for the 640m(first choice), and it's not a bad card. People can play modern games on it(BF3, Crysis 2) with relatively good fps. You can see here in the last picture that it can handle those games pretty well. Just, look, it runs BF3 at an average 37fps on high!(But mind the lowest fps, 20!) And that's just the cheapest option, the second option has a slightly better GPU, and the third choice is a bit of a jump up from #2. However, DCS is a much more intense game for a computer, so it's kind of hard to judge the performance. I think if this was a matter of playing any other game, the first choice would be fine, it's a good computer. In my opinion, I think the first computer is good enough to play DCS at low settings with decent fps, 2nd choice is med/low, and third is medium with decent fps. I just can't be sure without benchmarks. It's really your call, do you think a GPU that runs BF3 on high with 37 average fps(but drops to 20) can run DCS?(first choice) If not, do you think a slightly better GPU can run DCS?(second choice) If not, the third's GPU is quite a jump from #2's do you think that can run DCS(Actually, I'm pretty sure #3 will be able to handle DCS with med settings quite smoothly)
  15. I think you *might* be able to play DCS World on any of those, or at least the 2nd and 3rd options. The GPU is really the limiting factor here, but the CPUs should be enough to get you by. Edit: I'd like to add that I think the 3rd could definitely probably run it, and the 2nd probably could too, it would just look not as pretty. I'd say the first is a 'maybe probably', however I wouldn't expect miracles out of any of these GPUs, and lower you go, the less likely the computer could handle it. So if those 3 are your choices, then I'd say go with the 2nd, unless you have the money for the third. But if you want to risk it and save money, you could go with the first. None of these computers are bad, it's just DCS is a very intensive program. Also Merry Christmas.
  16. I have an X-52 pro too, but I haven't gotten those problems. Try re-installing, and make sure you have the Drivers and the Software, not just one. (Those are download links for Windows 7/8/Vista) Also, I'd like to warn you of one problem I have with the stick, if you program a command that has a name longer than what can fit on the MFD, there is a chance the computer will blue screen. Once you get it working it's a great stick, hope you solve the problem.
  17. You can find the minimum requirements/recommended here. Building a computer can be fun, and there are plenty of super smart people here that can help you, but as long as you have something that fits in the reqs you should be fine.
  18. Had a ton of fun in multiplayer on the server Krebs posted about today. Here's some awesome pics.
  19. Gentlemen, please. Let's not further dismantle this thread:) You can always post on my skin thread!
  20. I made plenty of skins you can use, enjoy!:P
  21. And no thanks to the guy who joined, rammed me on the taxiway, said 'lol', then quit:( But yeah it was a super fun mission, we had a lot of people join and everyone had a great time. More of you should join us next time!
  22. In other games like TF2 and Counter Strike when you join a server with content you don't have it downloads the required files for you so you are compatible. Could a system like that work here?
  23. Ok thanks. In the event that I can't get some more money, is there anything you would recommend? :)
  24. Hey guys good news, money finally came in so now I can get a new graphics card. I got $350, so, from what I'v been looking at, that puts me at about a GTX 570. Can you guys help me out with picking one out? For one thing, I am confused on the reason for the huge price difference on these two cards (ASUS 570 - EVGA 570) I have a PCI-E 3 slot on my MoBo, and space isn't an issue. Also I would prefer having one card, no SLI or anything. So any tips on what I should get would be appreciated, thanks! Edit: I might be getting a *little* more money so going slightly over isn't terrible. But with tax and shipping, it would probably be best to stay at 350. Edit 2: Also, I need at least two DVI ports.(or VGA, I have adapters)
  25. Thanks for all the help guys, couldn't have done it without you! I recently finished, and everything is working great! I was worried for a while, I was finishing the build late at night and I couldn't get it to turn on, I thought something might have been broken. But when I woke up the next day I realized I accidentally put a PCI-e 6+2 connector into the CPU port instead of the 4+4:doh: So I fixed that up and now all the ladies are impressed with me, so thanks. Also, here's a few low quality pictures from my phone so you can see my awesome work.
