Hi I love 1.5! But is have still many of bad thinks from previous version. One of them, not very often speak about, is night visibility of aircraft lights. Including strobe lights, navigation lights and formation lights. First two of these are mounted on aircraft only for purpose of safety and situational awareness around aircraft mainly at dawn, night and dusk. In DCS now you can see these lights only at distance about 2 miles may be less (1920x1200,AA8x). So MP games at night are still VERY DANGEROUS even if you have all your lights ON. You almost have to crash into your wingman to recognize his position. You can see very tiny stars on night sky, but important lights which can save your live, almost NO. I think, there is still nothing in preparation phase for ver 2.0 which could improve visibility distance of these lights. So I decided to write this here. PS: why the F-15 lost his anti-collision red lights? Before, it was connected wrong with landing lights instead of NAV lights, but now, they are gone completely. "These red lights designed to prevent collision of aircraft at night or under low visibility conditions. There are three of them: two on the wingroots (one on the leading edge of each wings just outboard of the air intakes) and one on the tip of the right vertical tail fin. Anti-collision lights are blinking when operating (they are blinking in unison, regulated by the same flasher unit), but can be turned off by the pilot."

I cant simply to stop repeating this sound around, around, around...Im so glad that there are people, that cares about these machines and poeple who can put money to bring old/new machine into live.

Engine rough running Fuel pressure issue
GumidekCZ replied to IvanK's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Andreas Haferkorn Chief Technician Heritage Flight Military Aircraft Airbus Defence and Space operating Bf109G-4/5/10 (Bf109G-10 black 2 with only operating real DB605D engine - same as in 109K-4) Das Kraftstoff-Förderpumpe is able to make enough fuel pressure without Behälterpumpe. Only when starting engine, the Behälterpumpe is needed. And for safety reasons during take off and landing ( this is how we operate ). my question: is the electric pump needed in higher flight levels due to pressure loss in fuel system? Can`t Tell you due to the fact that we`ve got to stay bellow 10000 ft because we do not have oxygen installed on board. Schalter hierfür in Selbstschalterträger (Führerraum rechts). Sorry can`t tell you anything about K4, never seen and I think I won`t .. unfortunately My final conlusion: Im sorry, but I believe much more to real operating experiences, than to one sentence from one Handbuch, which says complete oposite thing, than all other Handbuchs from previous version of Bf109. -
Engine rough running Fuel pressure issue

I understand to you about copyrights. But I didnt want from you whole book! Just a few senteces, they will not cut your head of because of that. I still have no answer from Manching Messerschmitt museum (from theyr pilots) but I have red many manuals and book of other types of Bf109 and every where is written that elec. pump was there only for help with cold starts and as a backup for P1 and P2 mechanic pumps at takeoffs and landings. Even real pilot who flew with Bf109G variants confirms this. If you think about the elec. fuel pump function as you described it, you will at the end find out, elec. pump is now in DCS modelled not correctly. -
Engine rough running Fuel pressure issue
GumidekCZ replied to IvanK's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Please send here the screen capture of the german text from Teil 7 Werkschrift. It is hard to believe, because the people who actually flew with Bf109, they tell different things than your document. I will personally post question to Manching Bf109 pilots, they know it exactly. -
Engine rough running Fuel pressure issue
GumidekCZ replied to IvanK's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
This is a known BUG, still NOT corrected. Standart operation was done by two mechanical fuel pumps. Only for safety of takeoff or landing the electrical fuel pump (located inside of main fuel tank) was switched to operate. Here is a complete drawing of fuel lines of Bf109K-4 variant. Note that the rear tank and external fuel tank was pressurized by air pump on engine. Fuel and MW50 mixture was than pushed out of these tanks. Fuel into main tank and MW50 into engine air inlet. I hope that this will be every moment now REPORTED and corrected soon. Also please move this toppic into "Bugs and Problems" section. Many thanks :) -
I wonder who started to talk about the headphones covering ears. I thing it is only excuse of someone who is unable to give us good cockpit audio recordings. Because he can than say, that it is hard to record sound like this and on top of that, every one is hearing sounds little bit differently. Why the WT has quite good internal and external audio, and DCS not? It seems to me, that someone from ED dont want to spent even 1 рубль for getting good audio recordings. Rather then, they give them the opportunity to do the sounds for this module to some audio modders, who are doing it for free. Same like the guys who are translating the game to different languages, they haven't seen 1 Euro from ED, and probably will not. So for me it is simple example of cutting expenses, at the expense of poor quality. I would rather pay little bit more and get real sounds.

Does anybody know about crash and problems free software for radio communication? I tried with my friend TARS and Aries, non of them is stable now. May be TARS with older version of TS. So we are looking for better software now. Any ideas??
-
I and my friends just tried Aries, installed properly and then tested. First impression was very good. But soon after followed first complications. Is started to crash DCS when connecting to server, for me DCS crash when disconnecting from server, big problems with TS. In the end we decide that it is very sensitive to everything around and therefore very unstable. But when all these problems will be solved, it could be very good software. The main problem now is that we cannot afford to solve these faults at every single user of our community counting about 30 players.

With this topic I only wanted to let all of you and the LN team to know, that there was another Fishbed-L for the Soviet Defence Force, which has this type of equipment, which from my point of view would be much more usefull in todays DCS world. Question is how will Leatheneck response if we will request this equipment to switch with radio navigation (ILS). And in the end how many of us will like this change.
-
I want to ask here, if it could be possible to implement ARL-S Lazur'-M ground control guidance to airborne target into Leatherneck MIG-21BIS cockpit? http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=45.0 It could help with Mig-21 role in DCS world simulation allot. Now without human GCI, it is very difficult to intercept enemy planes.

Aileron trim tab needs adjustment....
GumidekCZ replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
What about this? DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4\FM\FMOptions.lua aileronTrimTab = -0.045 elevatorTrimTab = 0.0 - ??? rudderTrimTab = 0.0 I tried to put there some numbers small or big no matter what, there was no response to these values. I only can see the default aileron trim tab if I show control axis RCtrl+Enter. The possition of neutral joystick is moved in order of 0.045 to the right. -
So how Im supposed to make the rivets and panel lines layer to be on top of the camouflage layer???? :helpsmilie:
-
Also possible source of audio for someone who understand how the sound are in DCS working. - NOT ME :( http://www.aircraftrecords.com/checkflightgustav.html
-
Same here. Why the surface color, rivets, panel lines is all in one layer???? :helpsmilie: Can it be separated?

Im Sorry guys, Im not good in english and absolutely not in diplomatic arguing with you. So this is also my last post here. Im giving up. If only me cares how DCS Bf109 sounds like, and much more people dont care, it is a fight against wind mills for me. Especially when there are two guys - one repeating self about quality of sound reproducing again and again and the second one who tells me that his Bf 109 sounds are fantastic. WarThunder Bf109 sounds + 1
-
Wake UP! Please, stop speaking about sound reproduction. I know It could also play own part of sound difference. There are also many other things..bla ..bla ..bla So many excuses for doing nothing. How is it possible that Su-27 have so accurate sound model? Why can other develop team for arcade games (not simulators) have much more accurate sound recordings? Are the developers of this module so poor, that they can not afford go to germany with couple of microphones and record here some of the active flying Bf109? WATCH THIS YEAH .. now even WAR THUNDER have much more better sound that DCS, what a shame. Whish I could tranfer sound from game to game somehow.
-
It is very sad for me that almost all Bf109 users have absolute no will to have proper sound effects. Im watching videos from FLUGMUSEUM MESSERSCHMITT https://www.youtube.com/user/messerschmittmuseum and I hope that may be one day it will be almost the same lovely noise.

Im sorry, the sounds in zip file are from the original diveplane sound mod. NOT the current version which we get after update. So now it is even worse. around 1000 rpm - external back real:https://www.dropbox.com/s/0lznelt1e5ihbz8/real_B3.wav?dl=0 diveplane sound mod:https://www.dropbox.com/s/cczzu51lchkc41k/ExB2_divelplane.wav?dl=0 before update:https://www.dropbox.com/s/fegqs14te5t35ko/old_ExB3.wav?dl=0 after update:https://www.dropbox.com/s/zlxto9by2ll7bly/ExB2.wav?dl=0 idle rpm - external front real:https://www.dropbox.com/s/yz8pzobbgmx583m/real_S1.wav?dl=0 diveplane sound mod:https://www.dropbox.com/s/ikhyck2situ4fpd/ExS1_diveplane.wav?dl=0 before update:https://www.dropbox.com/s/xiqh7usekyq6f4r/old_ExS1.wav?dl=0 after update:https://www.dropbox.com/s/6d9q7le2gssacb2/ExS1.wav?dl=0 Bf109K-4 developers have to correct it! There no sound mod acceptable and current version after update is terrible. I will be very glad to help to get it right. Problem is, I dont know how.
-
Im not good in making video and putting staff on youtube, so I packed into zip file only few sounds and uploaded on dropbox. Now you all can downloaded and compare the real sounds of Bf109 and the DCS sounds at specific RPM and direction. If most of the users will be fine with stock audio, after they listen all of the uploaded wav files, than I will try to find or make the better sounds for me. But it is very difficult if you have only audio grabbed from youtube or Bf109 DVD sound recordings. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nglia2hqrvr5oyr/Diveplane_vs_REAL.ZIP?dl=0

For those, who are responsible for audio of the DCS Bf109: "Please take your sound recorder and make business trip to here: http://www.flugmuseum-messerschmitt.de/museum/besucherinformation/index.html Ask them, of they can make one single flight with Bf109G-10 or G-6 or G-4 for you. Of course it will probably be not free of charge but in the end, you took money from us, so you must have some."

PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD, it is a mistake. The thing is for windshield cleaning. (no function in DCS)

Hi, will there ever be modelled the spark plugs fouling at the startup of the engine and related spark plug cleaner switch??
