NTTR MOAs borders lines in flight
GumidekCZ replied to GumidekCZ's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
If you are told, what is where, it is still not as good as you can see it from the pit, not to watch printed map. I ment, the result could be like this: -
If have an idea, that if there can be added the green circles in tutorial mission indicating where you have to fly. Can we have NTTR bordes done like this? For example in F10 comm menu to toggle this virtual bordes of all MOAs (with its name in the center) ... It could be awesome for all players to better know the MOAs and dont get lost in the missions. PLEASE PLEASE, somebody :drunk:

Ground texture detail and elevation detail
GumidekCZ replied to markturner1960's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
No response from ED side at all? I assume that better elevation detail without zoom will cause higher PC demands. But what if have that PC that can handle it? Why I need to watch those "not very nice" scenery if there can may be done some Graphic setting option to be able set my best? Most of the pilot fly this map at morning or dusk? Because only than the shadows will give the map feel of plasticity and elevations. I know that this is partly based on real nature effects and I can see these effects every time I get airborne myself. But why to make the elevation feel around the noon even worse? This picture not from noon, but still the hills are flat. With zoom hills will raise, but the texture in zoom is awful. -
NTTR Charts Topo Maps Deserve Update
GumidekCZ posted a topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
Am I alone, who wants to have correct topo map charts? It it so hard to download them and make the united and solid? Here is page, for example where you can have better charts for free. https://ngmdb.usgs.gov/topoview/viewer/#13/37.8665/-115.5972 Up Left corner, you can switch map to USGS TOPO. (if you have red layer over the map, go right top corner for setting and turn off : "Turn map boundaries") or there: https://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html Im sure that DCS paid for those they are using... so it have to be even better. But why there isnt? Please ED, can you do something with that till the end of this year, PLEASE. -
Is there somebody reading this? Any reply from ED staff? No? SA-19 is so deadly in DCS. Defending it would be possible if the rocket engine have the same amount of smoke like a real thing have. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, ADJUST THE SMOKE !!! :helpsmilie:

The danger of manually disabling the MLC is that a lot of false targets in the MLC can get processed as tracks by the WCS, both placing unneccesary load on the computer and also using up the limited number of tracks it can hold. Not sure if this is currently modelled, if not, it will be. Thanks very much for clearing things up. Can you please writte down here, after WCS overloading is implemented? So far, as I understand to MLC filter, it can(will) help you only in PD Search or RWS mode? When it comes to radar lookdown situation.
-
I have a question for you Naquaii, should switching MLC filter OFF affect the processing of returned signals by WCS - and denning to generate TRACKS in TWS? Should it also affect the RWS signal processing? My experience from testing is telling me, that switching it OFF gives me extra few knots for Doppler gate, where I can still detect notching target, without of affecting TWS, RWS functionality (Notching targets were lower than me, behind them was sea (water). I was able to generate tracks and fire AIM54 in TWS mode against almost notching targets.

Hi, I would like to have MFD buttons scripted to be able control JESTER in F-14B and its BVR commands. For example with one buttond press, the start of key sequence: "A,Ctrl+3,Ctrl+5" I was trying last night to make this scripting on my own, but this is abolutely off my knowledge. PLEASE can somebody help me and show me, how exactly to do this?

Possible question on TANKER RAMAINING FUEL
GumidekCZ replied to GumidekCZ's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Another few mission flown and this feature is from my perspective, the one with highest WISH priorities. Couple of large MP mission failed, because we didnt have core tactial info about FUEL available onboard of tankers. -
Ground texture detail and elevation detail
GumidekCZ replied to markturner1960's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
Thanks very much Mustang, terrainoptions41.lua helped a lot. But in the end, this is a mod and I would like to read a respond from DCS developers, that they are aware of this problem and will solve this ASAP. -
Ground texture detail and elevation detail
GumidekCZ replied to markturner1960's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
The actual setting of "Preload Radius", I don’t get it. I tried to set different amount of it, but with same exact blurry textures. So does it have any connection with textures at all??? I flew over Nevada yesterday two more times, and I noticed, that nice textures appeared only in very near distance from my "ground position". I mean like 2 miles radius or when high, than in cone angle of 30° under me. The way like the Nevada is now tuned is the best performance/graphic setting for choppers. But DEFINITELY NOT for aircraft pilots. Please, make some Graphic slider in module special settings, to be able achieve sharp textures & elevation detail in more distance  -

Without it, it wouldnt be a maximum. Of course I have :) -
Ground texture detail and elevation detail
GumidekCZ replied to markturner1960's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
Graphic settings maxed out. This is the result. Im rather OK with elevation detail progresive change according to zoom function - could be tuned little bit to better detail even when zoomed out... What if this will be some DCS graphic setting slider? The textures now are really poor. From 20 000ft the Nevada Range looks like my eyeball vision after 2 bottles of RUM :D -
INS always aligned and Mission 2 (and maybe others)
GumidekCZ replied to lemoen's topic in Bugs and Problems
Done MSN01, and yesterday also MSN02. Manual alignment take more time than you have before time to taxi. I had to switch to NAV before fully aligned. Also little bit confused, how in this campaign the airport QNH and standard QNE values are used. Last page of pdf doc with map is .... I would love to se more detailed one, with correct waypoints position and numbers (heading/range/alts) something like CombatFlite can export now. Also major Geographical marks would be nice to have here. Also the description of these Geomarks in pdf doc would be nice to have. In case of I forgotten what is where, now I have to fly msn02 again, cause it is said only there. In mission I noticed few things. When in chase combat with F-4, I had plenty of fuel. So how to end this duel? By flying on burner and call Bingo...which I have done even when I was not Bingo. But because my hand hurts after 10 minutes of turn fight. So I was directed to RTB. But than still in F10 comm menu was NOJOY(lost sight) call available. So during bugout maneuver (whem I lost sight on F-4) I click on that, which I believe cost me 10 mission score. This call need to be deleted after I choose the Bingo call. Same thing was than with the Bingo call, which was available till I exit the mission. I was very uncertain, if something else is wrong with mission or if is it OK. When on ramp, I was watching flight of AWACS, which was trying to smash into mountain ridge. Over all (with regard to pdf doc info), I still have semi feelings. But I have bought this Campaign in discount, so with that on my mind, Im quite happy. May be that is what Im missing in this campaign. -
1st mission and my semi feeling about it
GumidekCZ replied to GumidekCZ's topic in Bugs and Problems
Written in MSN01 description: "After getting the sign from your tanker, you will start to break away from formation and make your way to the tanker in sequence listed in DATACARD. Then you will report one by one overflying IP Charlie, tune to Tower and request landing in sequence. PLAYER will contact Approach and acquire the clearance for himself and for CHEVY". ??Chevy??who are they? I’m still confused by reading instructions and what really happens in mission. For example, after the Coton flight departs from formation with KC-130 towards the Charlie, Im told to contact Approach as Coton Flight overflying Charlie. Why? I’m Berger, not Coton and certainly I’m not over Charlie with 2 minutes separation. I’m still flying towards brake point. -Last time I flew this, I delayed any Approach call until departing Charlie, so may be this messed the triggers. Also: "you will start to break away from formation and make your way to the tanker in sequence" ??what?? -
1st mission and my semi feeling about it
GumidekCZ replied to GumidekCZ's topic in Bugs and Problems
B.D. I have say huge thank you for your quick reply. I appreciate it really much. I will also try to fly it once more. I flew the mission 10, but 8 month before. Your missions are not difficult for me, but I get easily confused when things dont make sense for me. If it was really the chair-keyboard problem, you can delete this whole toppic. I dont want to spread negative words, which are result of purely my faults. -
You should search more, bacause I already did one working :D https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300501/ not included: clean 'ASP Block' Ru version was in plan, but now Im lacking interest into.

Yesterday, I started campaign with first mission. And I have semi feelings about current state of M2C and this campaign. I cannot recommend to anybody to start his C now. This is why: M2C current bugs: Radio mode selector knob (manual/preset/guard) is bugged. Data selector knob on HIS is not working properly when using mouse drag Mission issues: 1st mission with 3 fuel tanks after long flight and my plane is almost full of gas, heavy and struggling to fly slow speed matching the KC-130 speed. Why??? After short while from brake at 12:20 when inbound to Charlie, I’m tell to setup TACAN offset of Nellis AFB 5 miles approach fix. Why??? I’m still navigating to Charlie, I cannot do this now. Also when outbound of Charlie and almost at 5nm from landing, I was tell to report inbound of Charlie. Why now? At the end, I landed proper RWY 21L (12:35) and taxi to apron next to other M2C. Shutted down engine and waited to any note, that mission is done and I can exit. Nothing came up :/ so I exit from mission and report show my score = 0  Over all the radio call triggers seems to me desynchronized with my flight appearing in not correct time. Currently I’m not sure if I want to continue with the campaign with all these problems. If I’m doing something terribly wrong, than tell me. Than I will apologize for what I have written up here.:music_whistling:

I start this toppic, because I noticed, that M2C is lacking many of standard key commands available in other DCS modules. I would love to have possibility to have available two key commands to lower or increase the preset channel number (both radios) and also the key commands to switch between Manual and Preset selector knob. If you have another ideas for additional key commands, write it down here. May be we will be heard, I hope. :smilewink:

Weird flight directional stability
GumidekCZ replied to GumidekCZ's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Oh, another super expert on the horizont  There are plenty of you these days on this forum :pilotfly: Do you know what is IAS, do you know how pitot tube and speed calculation works? If yes and if DCS speed calculation is correct, than 300 IAS km/h is no way stall speed. It would, if it was TAS. And I was 5-6km height (around 15-18000 ft) Santa dont have any stall problems at this alt :D Oh, and nobody on this world is telling YOU, what is wrong. Dont take everything personaly....TAKE IT EASY man  -
Weird flight directional stability
GumidekCZ replied to GumidekCZ's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
I repeat my self again. I was trying to climb at most effective climb speed, not max. preformance. Also trying to fly best ball my Saitek rudder can do and after climbing stable without any major input correction, than happened what you saw in my vid. The actual loop was not my work, the plane did itself without my input! :joystick: May be I should stay in cockpit to able see the input overlay picture. There was NO change of rudder input after managed to almost fly the stable ball in climb. All you see in vid is just unstable FM. If the DCS FM will require precise ball centered flying to be able to fly, than we all are facing some serious trouble when it comes to newbies and unexperienced pilots. They will HATE this plane and its FM. -

https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=XZbDil7ZemmRHIqm1UVE64IceJjdApf4Hf2V Look at my recored I made today. Stable climb at 300kph. Than suddenly without any input ..... This is broken, really. I have X52 PRO joy without forcefeedback as most of the DCS pilots. So stick forces are no good to me. -
Weird flight directional stability
GumidekCZ replied to GumidekCZ's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
I mean it. Now experiencing low directional stability at 300, and much worse at 200kph, than how much stability you get at 100? Why is it so difficult to takeoff these plane and keep is stable after takeoff? Because ever since of release of this module, FM struggled at slower speeds.
