    SOLD: PointCTRL

    there's an alternative?
  2. Robo Are you running any of the shader mods or FHolger's Open_fsr? Motion smoothing? https://github.com/fholger/openvr_fsr/releases I haven't done an actual comparison yet. But I was surprised to find out that they were actually interchangeable. I have mine running on the Radeon side.
  3. Roger that. I know the commands and I can see them being sent via the onscreen dialog in the upper left of the window. And I can see the radio tune to 251.000 when I say select 2 5 1 decimal zero
  4. Is there any good reason why a tanker will not answer back after "request for refuel"? I made a map to practice AA refueling, 2 client aircraft FA-18 & an A-10CII. I get answered back from the FA-18 but not the A-10. I've checked and double checked I'm on the tankers freq, but nothing. Also, the tanker is the type with with a boom and and baskets.
  5. Yeah, I've tried every combo of beta/non beta with both (currently both non beta). I may resort to a Windows reinstall. I even used USBdview to remove most USB devices and reinstalled.
  6. Dang it... I have been have similar issues with mine for a couple weeks now. Most times it simply freezes my computer(after starting WMR and right when SVR tries to launch), no mouse, no CTRl-AL-Del nothing. Only way I can get unstuck is power cycle the PC or the G2, SteamVr then reports it can't find my display. Then shut down, Steam, WMR, vrmonitor and any thing else that launched. Then start over. Sometimes it all launches as it should, sometimes it seems to launch, I even hear the audio switch to the headset, but when I put it on, no video. Then realize SteamVR errors out again. Try again, and viola. Until the next time. I have ripped and replaced SVR/WMR a few times, but the behavior comes back. And I already had applied the reg fix for the display issue. Might try switching it back to 1 then back to 0
  7. I recently finished my latest build so I'm selling my previous PC, built last year. The only thing on it that's "old" is the case, few minor scuffs. 2018 era Corsair ATX case MSI B450 Tomahawk MB w/750w PSU 32 GB DDR4 3600 Ryzen 9 3900X with Wraith fan/cooler NVidia 1080ti Founders Edition GPU Samsung 250GB SSD Running licensed Windows 10 Pro 64 $1800 will ship CONUS only
  8. Any particular voltage or just using the preset?
  9. Looking forward your follow up. I had to stop using the Radeon Software, too many constant crashes and never really saw that the controls or settings did much for me. (or DCS) I just manage a slight OC with MSI Afterburner now.
  10. I was under the impression this only applies to Direct x 9 applications.
  11. same here
  12. I have experienced this as well. Fix for me was to clear the environment via the WMR settings. Then launch only WMR which will take you to the Cliff House and find that app around the corner to the right (sorry the name escapes me) but it's used to calibrate the floor height. Once I'd run through that I was back to normal. Another option might be to delete the openvr_api.dll from the DCS /bin folder and run a repair install to replace it. Had a similar issue with ILS several months ago and the file replace was the fix for me.
  13. Just something I wanted to share. Lately I had been noticing that occasionally my DCS VR experience was getting flaky. By that I mean, there were times when I had just finished getting it "just right", then the next day or several sessions later it just seemed "off". Not as clear, maybe a little more laggy or jagged and shimmery. Then I started having lock ups just trying to launch MWR for Steam VR. Computer would completely freeze (usually about the time it would normally launch SteamVR) no mouse, no Ctrl Alt Del. I could only "fix" it by rebooting, or power cycling my G2, which would then cause SVR to crash and report some devices had been disabled (typically Gamepad). I would then spend the next 10 minutes trying to get WMR to detect my head set. I tried the usual verify integrity via Steam on WMR and SVR and nothing helped. So I then Uninstalled SteamVR following this guide I found on the Steam community. 1. Completely close Steam and SteamVR. 2. Navigate to each path and delete the following files: a. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\resources\settings\default.vrsettings b. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\steamvr.vrsettings c. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\lighthouse\lighthousedb.json Then Uninstall steam VR! You can do so with the following instructions: 1. Right click the SteamVR tool from the Steam Library and select Unistall 2. Follow the on screen prompts to complete the uninstallation of the SteamVR tool. (important) Make sure to delete any leftover files in the installation directory by deleting the contents in the folder “SteamVR” The default path for that folder would be: "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR" then Re-install SteamVR You will then need to reset any settings you'd previously applied in steamVR and WMR as to controller vibration, motion smoothing, global and per app resolutions and world scale. Upon first launch, no more computer freeze, no more error. I first landed in the Steam cliff house and even though it usually looked great before, it look MUCH better, clear, crisp etc. So, launched DCS and noticed the same: Wow, much improved and had regained several MS in frametimes, but the visual clarity was the biggest thing I noticed. Also improved that other WWII flight sim which shall not be mentioned Anyway, hope this finds it's way to someone else in a similar boat.
  14. Watch to the right... the waves breaking over the reef.
  15. Don't know if it "should" be, but mine is.
  16. Might check and see if yours could use a firmware update.
  17. Please don't implement bright brownish orange (like HL Alyx on my system). First time I experienced that, I thought my room was on fire.
  18. I tried actually saluting the deck crew on launch Might consider adding a service loop. After my first cable shorted and waited about a month for the replacement, I swore never again.
  19. Will give that a shot. Thanks.
  20. Now if I can just keep the audio hints going. When they go off, I figure something has crashed or maybe I said some sort of magic word.
  21. I hit him up on Reddit
  22. I tried it briefly, the jiggedy MFDs were too much for me.
  23. Think I've found my sweet spot: Awesome visual and performance.
